  1. Now that the coronation of their top guy has been postponed for like the 15th time, surely it's time to swallow pride and push back Wrestlemania? They have so much golden content in their vault, I doubt their TV partners would be upset about them going away for a couple of months.

Chris playing the straight man is making this segment gold imo. I am surprised he has not broken into laughter by now.

That sneezing thing was clearly a shot at Vince, wasn't it?
  4. MoS replied to Stiva's topic in AEW
I shudder to think about Moxley-Hager. Hager is bad in the ring.

Cody going a bit too heavy on old-school references but I will take that over WWE commentators cracking lame jokes and laughing at them.

Darby is a star. Cody is quite good on commentary.

"Maybe even Bill's Monica.. I don't know" Jake certainly knows how to cut a promo

I like how they have made the gambling a weekly gag. It's one of the little things AEW has done well to make the best of a shitty situation

Cody should have a towel around his neck all the time to hide that ugly tattoo
  10. She also clearly had a better head on her shoulders, because she had started preparing for life post Chris's eventual retirement, while Chris genuinely had no idea what not wrestling meant. A friend and I have been separately watching WCW 1997 and we have discussed this - by far the stuff most uncomfortable for me to watch has been Benoit-Sullivan and the 4 Horsemen-Dungeon angles, not because of Benoit as much as because of Woman.
  11. I am so glad they focused so much on Nancy in the doc. She often gets completely forgotten and she deserves better. Watching clips of her was heart-breaking but I am glad they featured her so much.
  12. Also, he seems to be busy this year, but El-P's Highway to Hell is another PWO classic!
  13. Rey in 2003 has an absurd volume of good TV matches, I would definitely rank that somewhere here.
  14. Special shout-out to Dylan Hales for the comparing various wrestlers to HHH thread. It's like my favourite wrestling thread of all time and anyone isolating themselves at home could do worse than read that thread. Same is true for the Vince McMahon v. the world thread - think Kris and jdw did the bulk of the posting there.
  15. This post got me very nostalgic and brought all the feels. And if we are remembering the greatest hits here, we cannot possibly forget the Ric Flair v. Bret Hart comparison from hell thread.

Wow I had completely erased that from my mind.

One upside to Wrestlemania being taped is that Cena-Fiend will probably be quite good once they are done with editing and post-producing. Hopefully.
  18. They are (rightly, imo), postponing Blood and Guts.

Charlotte is challenging for Rhea's title. I think NXT titles were made world titles by the company when it was put on the USA Network.
  20. He has said that he truly felt like he was ready to be a top guy and carry a company at the 2018 WK Omega match. That feud and match was really where he put it together. He's still never had a top face run but he will at some point - the fans love him as it is, although he is good enough to get them to boo him in the ring or on the mic. It will be interesting to see how that run would turn out. He has definitely enhanced his case significantly for the (presumably) 2026 rankings. Although arguably so has Matt Hardy in his own way.
  21. Who would have thought five years back that these two would headline a War Games match against each other in 2020. I really hope AEW pushes Blood and Guts until the pandemic is over, both because I think it's the healthy thing to do and because the match deserves to be in front of a sold out crowd going nuts.
  22. I loved the Matt Hardy reveal. They were careful to keep saying "next Dynamite" so I wouldn't be surprised if they hold off tapings until the pandemic is over. But they gave themselves an out I guess when Jericho just "banned" AEW fans which I thought was pretty clever.
  23. I don't care what anyone says, Sammy singing Jericho's theme is the wrestling segment of the year.
  24. Still don't really care about Dark Order, but Brodie Lee being the head of the Dark Order is more exciting to me than Matt Hardy being its head. Also he got the chance to take a not-so-subtle shot at Vince so more power to him.
  25. AEW has done a much better job of making these empty shows feel refreshing and different than WWE. Although it's hard to be harsh on WWE for that, because these are truly unprecedented circumstances.
