Hope to God the cage door doesn't open and no one goes off the roof. Gets predictable. How many people are actually enjoying this MJF-Cole pairing? Cuz I am. I am finding it quite entertaining, and I say this as someone who is not an Adam Cole fan at all.

What an incredible final. Alcarez plays like if you took a baby Federer and got Nadal to coach him.

The two Wrestlemanias beat it I assume. Regardless, a big success undoubtedly. Hope Dragon recovers quickly. What was scarier was him casually listing other injuries he has which he dismissed as "normal". Like no Bryan, compressed vertebrae is not normal!- AEW Forbidden Door 2 - 6-25-23 - Okada vs. Danielson

I know Meltz went full Doomer on CM Punk's return, but if his return allows people like Ricky Starks to cut great promos and show how charismatic they are, then yeah, he should be welcomed back with open arms. Best thing is he let FTR and Starks have their moment, just made an intro to set the stage for them. I- Dark Side of the Ring
Really looking forward to the JYD episode. A first-ballot hall of famer, in my opinion, both for drawing and for historical influence. Who dat think they gonna beat that Dog?- Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
I get what you are saying, but can we argue that Fenix and Pent got over in the first place due to the crazy match they had with the Bucks on AEW's first PPV? (it feels weird and dirty to be the Bucks defender in an argument lol)- Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
Understood, thanks for the explanation!- Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
Not intending to call you out or put you on the spot at all, and I don't like the Bucks much either (I like Nick, Matt I actively dislike, so they sort of cancel each other out), but it would be great if you could expound on "had to do more than put themselves over". At least on paper, they have put over many, many, many wrestlers in matches since AEW began. I don't mean put over in a Hulk Hogan/Scott Hall slip-on-a-banana-peel-style putting over, where the focus remains entirely on the loser and the winner actually gets nothing out of it. Like, their loss to the House of Black is the most badass the HoB have ever looked and felt, and made Brody King look like a, well, King. The Lucha Bros have never been as over as when they were beating the Bucks in matches. Even Private Party, for example, in the early days of AEW. Even when they win, they highlight the losing wrestlers, like Top Flight? Or do you mean it in a more metaphorical, general sense? I am just genuinely interested in what you mean.- Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
From the ESPN Article: "Punk said he has not had any conversations with Omega or the Jacksons since the incident, although he has tried. He said when he has reached out, he has gotten "messages from lawyers saying, 'Do not contact this person.'" Punk said he is unclear whether those responses came at the request of legal representatives of Omega and the Jacksons or a third party." Seems like he is saying that he did try to talk to them directly, although the para is a bit confusing.- AEW TV - 6/14 - 6/17 - Yada Yada Punk
No offence, i love your posts, but I hope both your team and the England team lose the Ashes simultaneously just by everyone tripping over a ball while coming onto the field, Glenn McGrath in 2005-style. But with Cummins getting a lot of wickets cuz I really like him. Marnus is really due for some humbling though, and I am glad he is getting it. Long overdue- AEW TV - 6/14 - 6/17 - Yada Yada Punk
Shawn didn't do parity headlock takedown sequences with tons of reversals like they're of the same size and strength, and evenly worked brawling exchanges like their punches have the same effect, when he worked Vader or Sid or Taker.- AEW TV - 6/14 - 6/17 - Yada Yada Punk
The slower pace meant that things were given more time to be taken in and digested, which made it feel different from Dynamite, which goes at breakneck speed. Also, not nearly as many interferences - both in matches and promos - as a typical Dynamite episode. I marked out so hard when Punk caught Joe in that headlock. Like my childhood coming back to me.- AEW TV - 6/14 - 6/17 - Yada Yada Punk
My favourite line in the Punk promo was how he is the uncrowned champ "not because I had the greatest dog collar match in history, it's because I won that dog collar match!"- AEW Fight Forever (and other AEW video games)
