Agreed 100% with this. A lot of this does remind me of Memphis studio wrestling and not just old school NWA. Especially with Austin Idol and Tony Falk. I do wish sometimes they used at least some entrance music, but music videos for sure were always an excellent way of getting guys over. As you mention with Corgan which is something he utilized while with Impact where they were using Hole, Marilyn Manson, Smashing Pumpkins, etc. for theme music.

SaudiMania I was kind of disappointing (Braun winning the "greatest" rumble sucked), but II was a blast and III was mostly solid. Now I'm looking forward to SaudiMania IV, even if there is a lack of legends competing like the previous with no Taker, HHH, or Shane who had worked all these events so far.

Cage/Callihan was perfect for the story told, Shamrock looked awesome, and Taya might be my wrestler of the year as an overall package. the RVD turn was a real shocker, looking forward to where that goes. It was, but taped for this week's Impact which aired last night. Like the post-Slammiversary episode, it was mostly a studio PPV Recap special called "This is Impact" as an intro to AXS, but features that six man tag along with Madison Rayne vs Shotzi Blackheart which was pretty fun.

I thought Pac's last WWE run as the heel King of the Cruiserweights was great stuff. He came off like a star, having great matches with everyone in that division. I always liked Lilian Garcia ring announcing and was a big fan of Dave Penzer in WCW/TNA.

I was also sold as soon as I heard "Into the Fire" on episode 1. Best intro on any wrestling show today.
