  1. No. To me it seems like Jeff is just going around giving the ol' Memphis handshake to people.
  2. I haven't enjoyed the last year or so of Kayfabe releases and this trailer really doesn't feel me with confidence. A couple of years ago it was great release after great release. Here's hoping they book better guests from now on.

When he wrestled in Europe as Baby Bull he'd come out in a rubbish looking mask and often take it off before the match, or sometimes a couple of minutes into it. Some people must have been going sick when WWE booked Vader in a mask vs mask match in 1998...
  4. This could really work actually. I don't think so, at all. I have no idea what sort of reaction Bill would get at this point, having not really been seen in a decade. But I'd bet he'd be over enough to have enough vocal boos directed at Roman upon a win* *A win which would never happen. Goldberg would never come back for a loss, and nor should he.

Will be interesting to see how the build and match layout goes. I love the big time feel these two bring! Although it has to be said, running a rematch straight after Summerlam takes the attention away from Summerslam somewhat.
  6. Play up on the fact that Jerry once defended himself against a man with a chainsaw in Memphis, therefore has as good a shot against Lesnar as anybody else!
  7. Saturday Night Live has been nominated / won multiple Emmy awards over the years for the technical aspects of its broadcast which are all things WWE in theory could be eligible for if it weren't for the fact they were looked so down upon. In addition they have had (and granted far less) cast nods also.
  8. Breaking Bad could have had some really serious competition had this of aired a little earlier...
  9. I'd say Ambrose also. I'm very interested to see how he develops and how versatile he can be in roles where he isn't enraged.

That was excellent television for sure. I completely bought it as a legit moment literally up until the point of the turn.
  11. I tend to agree, although he certainly was a wooden and dry promo. To an extent he was. Certainly in WCW but a lot of that was his iceman persona. Its worth revisiting the debut of the Radicalz. Ironically, Malenko is the first one to really fit in, before the inevitable eclipse.
  12. Just watched Summerslam 2003 on the Network. Watching Goldberg in WCW booking mode is such a delight. He powers through everybody in an explosive, impressive manner and gets over huge with the live audience in the process. I don't recall a time he was ever this over in the WWE. Of course there are arguments about this type of booking not being sustainable in the long run; but it didn't need to be the case all of the time. Re reading my above posts: Goldberg was more than capable of having exciting 10 - 15 minute matches. It seems things dragged when he went over this time (i.e. his title matches with Hunter) the excitement was taken out.
  13. For the life of me, I don't know why everything isn't chapter marked. Running the footage through their machines would literally scrub in seconds to locate match starts. Even if it was just the match starts and not for all the backstage stuff. Hell, even if they just broke the shows down to random quarters it would save on the inconvenience of having to forward wind 3/4 of a show to find where you left off the day before... because they are yet to sort out the auto resume. This is all stuff I'm confident will be sorted in time though.

I really wish it would've been Sean Mooney
  15. Nothing to do with being safe. They wont do this because it is an idiotic idea.
  16. On the same crusade as in my above post, I've just come across the contract signing for the Sabu / Onita American death match that didn't happen in 2000. What a calamity that was!
  17. Sek69 hit the nail on the head. Don't lead with price, lead with value.

Predictable doesn't mean a poor outcome, it's all in the execution. Most classic films have predictable (or logical, if you will) conclusions. Same goes for wrestling, some of the greatest angles of all time have been telegraphed quite clearly.
  19. That was absurd on too many levels to mention. Seriously, what was the promoter hoping to achieve with this? Surely he did his research into the thief before he went to the house (quick Facebook search, etc) and discovered he was a child? Don't get me wrong, I don't encourage stealing (and this includes downloading. The likes of indies, KC, RF etc try to make a living from their sales, I just think it is wrong to steal, but that's another argument) but once you clock on it's a child, surely you realise you're about to act and look like an absolute idiot going to his family home and trying to look like a thug? And then to upload such to the Internet? I'm at a loss for words.
  20. Going through some old unmarked DVD's from my loft this weekend which I converted from VHS in the early 2000's (which is quite the struggle, because former me evidently couldn't afford or didn't have access to particularly high capacity DVD's, therefore a 3 hour tape is spread across 3 DVD's). Anyway, I come across Leon Spinks vs Onita in a match I completely forgot ever occurred. it was utterly atrocious.
  21. Yup and grossly under delivered on the not afraid to burn bridges thing. Burn bridges... He didn't even light a match
  22. You clearly haven't heard too much of Colt then.
