While the build was left stifled with injuries having plans changed all over, AEW delivered. On what they were working with, Forbidden Door produced a damn good show, not on the level of Revolution but good nonetheless. I hope the six-man will lead to a Bucks/Sting and Darby tag title match. Ospreay has cemented my vote for Most Outstanding Wrestler, and he is a future HOFer. The only complaint I have wishes TK had some guts and put the belt on Tanahashi.

I watched Slammiversary when I got from work and must say this was a damn good show and a perfect love letter to TNA/Impact's history. Everything ranged from good to excellent besides the knockouts tag match, which was awful. The cameos and video packages were a highlight, especially the tribute to Tenay/West; hopefully, Don will pull through. Everyone worked hard and put in the effort (even machinegunka). My main interest was the main event between Alexander/Young and the boy they delivered. They did enough to get the tribute spots in but made the match their own. It's not the greatest, but it is one of the year's best shows.

You're right about the logistics but would've been cool seeing guys like Moose and Keith Lee in the fold

None of the results from Dominion were surprising, but that G1 lineup left me feeling meh. With all these working relationships New Japan have cultivated with AEW and Impact, I thought this would be the most exciting year to shake things up. Also, I would've loved El Desperado to be an entrant; he proved he could hang with the heavyweights in his match with Okada.

Did he catch Jimmy on the face with that dive?
