WWE Network... It's Here
Any chance it's late 90's? When it was littered with luchadores and all of that talent, it was a real fun show. I would bet it's 94-95. I would bet it just continues where they left off, given their patterns. If it's a lot, maybe 2-3 years, which would get us to 1992 or so.

[2000-09-07-ECW-Cleveland, OH] Kid Kash vs Chris Hamrick
I think ECW was assuming everyone was reading results on the internet and thus already knew about the title change. Sort of an inherent issue for them at the time - they had the internet savviest fans but couldn't do a live show other than on PPV. I sort of feel like Kash could have used an opponent with a bit more credibility to suggest he was moving up the card (and maybe part of it was that he wasn't really moving up - this was just a temporary thing to get a pop and the belt was going back to Rhino). The match itself is fine, typical ECW undercard at the time with good spots but not a ton of flow. It's weird - all these ECW undercard guys from this time are all sort of in amber from this time for me as spot guys, no matter how they may have developed later in their careers (and maybe they didn't, for a variety of reasons).

[2000-09-07-ECW-Cleveland, OH] Danny Doring & Roadkill vs Little Guido & Tony Mamaluke
Pretty nice pop for Doring and Roadkill, who I recall being a pretty big fan of at the time. I dig the Roadkill/Mamaluke sequence at the beginning - a bit of comedy with some solid work beneath it. Rest of the match is pretty fun, too - had the chance to be great with a little extra time, but as it is was all action and a good 8 minute match.

[2000-09-07-ECW-Cleveland, OH] Balls Mahoney vs E.Z. Money
Pretty fun little undercard match other than the one blown spot. Money's someone who never quite got beyond being a MOVEZ~! guy in ECW, but that's fine for the length of this one.

[2000-09-01-MAW] CM Punk vs Bobby Bambino
The promo is starting to get a lot closer to what would become his standard later on. Pretty impressive that he's come this far in the little bit of time we've covered in this project. Bobby Bambino looks very indy in his long jorts, lack of upper body mass and total paleness. What works here is that Bambino is so small that he makes Punk look big, which works nicely for him to play heel. Love Punk's bump off the post and into the crowd. Bambino is pretty generic, but Punk does a really nice job of working with him. The That's Incredible is a great spot. I like the bit of gaga in the finish, and the way Punk cheats to win.

Wrestlemania Weekend 2018
This would be fantastic. I feel like my returning indy addiction would kick into overdrive for this.

Proposal for 2018: Match Review Trades
This is from deep in my dead period, so I'm pretty sure I've never seen it. The announcers make the structure here really obvious, but it's also smart - Waltman as the face in peril is the right choice, and his work (especially with Bam Bam) is really fun. Bam Bam knows how to work as a monster and still be giving to the quicker guy. They wiggle out of the first heat segment without a hot tag and set up more heat on Holly, which goes fine but not as well as with Waltman. I do like the missed tag spot with the splash in the corner. Waltman takes a great hot tag (he's really the star here, while Bob Holly throws dropkicks and doesn't do much else). I'm not sure how I feel about the miscommunication spot in the finish - I certainly haven't seen it before, but it makes Tatanka look impossibly dumb. I also think they milked the KO spot a little too long. Still, a very good tag match, glad I saw it.

[1998-11-30-WCW-Nitro] Contract Signing: Goldberg vs Kevin Nash
Exactly, though. That's who Nash worked for, which was a big chunk of the audience.

[1998-11-27-ECW-TV] Taz & Shane Douglas vs Sabu & Rob Van Dam
This is a really strange piece of business, with Douglas getting really badly dominated. I guess logically Taz wouldn't care if Douglas takes a beating? But it ends up sort of killing the match, and undermines what's left of Douglas' credibility a bit. The end angle just really doesn't work. Why this would be Taz's temper "getting the better of him" when he's hated Sabu for years is unexplained, and why "clasping the hands" on a choke to become a suplex is somehow the worst thing in the world.

The XFL is returning?
Disney won't own the Fox Networks, they'll own the Fox Studios. I actually think this is a big reason why Fox might have interest in WWE - they're going to be the only major network to lack a studio, which means they won't have an interest in the long-term streaming viability of their programming, only the ratings. WWE still gets pretty decent ones. I guess Fox could be interested in the XFL for FS1 and FS2? Spring programming after college basketball is done?

WWE's "Unseen Matches" DVD
Yep. And it makes sense, he's one of the most beloved guys from the era.

AstroBoy This is a bit of a forgotten classic in my mind. These guys would go onto have matches on bigger stages, but I'm still really fond of this one.

WWE's "Unseen Matches" DVD
I think we will probably get a couple of never before seen matches, but I'd assume the majority of the set will be matches that were simply never released on DVD previously (think Bret Hart's Dungeon Collection). At least that's my take from reading the official synopsis on Wrestlingdvdnetwork. The recent releases have been very strict about the Unreleased criteria (surprisingly so, honestly). So I think there's a chance we're getting 3 discs of all new stuff. There really should be enough stuff from TV tapings considering how long he was with the company.
