[1999-01-10-ECW-Guilty As Charged] Shane Douglas vs Taz
Crowd was awful for this and it's only somewhat saved with Styles' commentary. Very traditional start, headlock takeovers, etc (how this fits Taz and his year long quest to get at Douglas is beyond me) and after a suplex or two by Taz with Shane bailing, they take to the crowd for a long extended brawling segment that is honestly one of the worst I've ever seen. The crowd, equipped with their Bass Pro Shop hats and disposable Kodak cameras are just mobbing both guys and security. They go all the way to the top for nothing really, other than to both blade I guess, and then they work their way back down. Shane has control now, which really kills off the crowd and Taz goes through a table in the corner. Sabu comes out for his revenge and destroys both guys. The kickout by Taz was the first time the crowd really reacted, outside of yelling at Francine. The Candido stuff makes Taz look even worse but he finally gets Douglas to pass out and win the belt. The entire thing is under ** in my opinion and really disappointing.

PTBN Reaction Show: ROH's All-Star Extravaganza 7
Will is joined by Pete and Johnny Sorrow (Titans of Wrestling) to run down the latest PPV from ROH. Pete and WIll give the listeners a taste of the live experience and Johnny runs down the show watching from home. Can Jay Lethal handle two matches in one night? Are the Young Bucks the best live act in wrestling? Should the Briscoe Brothers be higher up on the card? Why didn't Pete cheer during the AJ Styles match? Tune in and find out! http://placetobenation.com/ptbn-reaction-show-rohs-all-star-extravaganza-7/

Where the Big Boys Play #75 - Top 100 Matches Special, Part 1: 100-51
A big congrats to Where the Big Boys Play for reaching their milestone 75th show. It was quite an honor to be on episode 50 (fantasy draft and booking winner, plus the debut of Evil Jim Herd) and Starrcade '90 (heavily boosted my drawing credentials given the numbers). The time and passion put into this top 100 exercise was impressive - and something I can't wait to see evolve as you guys delve into different material. WTBBP is and will always be a pillar at Place to Be Nation. When we launched it was one of two shows (with PTB of course) that we built things off of. I'll always remember building and firing off all those archived shows right as we launched the site on June 1, 2013. From there we've grown into so much more, and WTBBP is really at the genesis of that.

Place to Be Podcast Thread
Yeah I'm not in that camp. There's no way they improvised the refs raising each guy's arm and the complete restart. What did the Observer say?
-
So ... Joshi (As promised)
I think this would be the right thread, but if not, please forgive me but I'd love to see and discuss Chad's joshi that made his top 100 (can be spoiler tagged - it's a must listen).

A complete viewing list is embedded in the PTBN link - watch AND listen along. http://placetobenation.com/digging-in-the-crates-2/

Exile on Badstreet #13 (The Indytaken) (Featuring Wes Hatch & Rob Naylor)
Rob's break down for each NXT performer as Kris ran down the Takeover card was tremendous - and as Kris put it - exclusive material considering Rob's relationship with the talent. Really fantastic stuff.

SummerSlam Brooklyn... It's Time!!!
I'm in the camp where I liked Amell being the FIP instead of the guy who got the hot tag. I don't think there was enough actual heat that a big confrontation with Stardust needed to be milked in the match. Amell had some nice spots too in his comeback - the enziguri was great.

Between the Sheets #3 (August 4-10, 1995) (Featuring Brian Last)
Agree with Beast, Brian was a great guest. This was a fantastic listen as always. The SMW/USWA stuff to cap off the call was awesome.

Digging in the Crates #1 - New Phil Schneider Show w/ Will
I watched the Low-Ki / Dickinson match prior to listening and agree completely with the Davey Richards comparison (on the surface at least). First thing that popped in my head, highlighted by his very spotty selling (if at all) during this one. I also liked his heelish-ness, including the eye poke (crowd hated that) and Low-Ki's selling of it while he floundered at Dickinson's face trying to poke him back. Thought that was very good. Low-Ki's punch flurry was insane and the best spot of the match. I thought he was awesome throughout. Very believable (and thought he sold the variety of submissions real well). Good stuff guys.

Digging in the Crates #1 - New Phil Schneider Show w/ Will
Phil Schneider is joined by Will (Dangerous Alliance, Good Will Wrestling) for a new podcast that spotlights rarely seen matches from around the world. Choshu, Hoshino, Kobayashi, Koshinaka & Sasaki vs. Hamaguchi, Super Strong Machine, Goto, Saito & Kurisu (New Japan 6/26/90) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_HwMoFG2N4&feature=youtu.be La Fiera vs. Negro Casas (EMLL 1/10/93) Aja Kong vs Yumiko Hotta (AJW 1/24/94) Low-Ki vs. Chris Dickinson (JAPW 3/21/15) You can listen to each episode of Digging in the Crates at Place to Be Nation and also through iTunes and Stitcher by searching and subscribing to The Place to Be Podcast. http://placetobenation.com/digging-in-the-crates-1/

PTBN TripleMania XXIII Reaction Show
Will is joined by Kris Zellner (Exile on Badstreet/Between the Sheets), David Bixenspan (The Trade Marks/The Bix Show/Between the Sheets), & Alfredo Esparza (Lucha World) to break down all of the action. Listen to us discuss what is probably the worst PPV ever and how one of the panel will never give his money to AAA ever again. We talk about the old and the useless that worked this show, the major disappointments, and the booking insanity that put a dark cloud over this show. Don’t miss this episode! http://placetobenation.com/ptbn-reaction-show-aaas-triplemania-xxiii/
