Where the Big Boys Play #65 - Great American Bash 91
The correct answer is "Listen to the show where I tell the story"

Summerslam 2014
And with five weeks until NOC, there isn't any reason for him to be. Agreed

Summerslam 2014
re: Cena coming out a broken man tonight -- every other big loss he's ever had he's shrugged off the next night as no big deal. Rock I, even the damage from the first Lesnar match - he just reboots himself the next day. If he puts it over on RAW (or isn't on RAW), it makes the story telling even better but not holding my breath.

Yes - tongue in cheek my friend, it was a good tribute and then (after posting) I got to the part in the show where Chad finally called it out. I thought you were a great guest!

Pretty sure Loss can file a copyright infringement report on Will for totally stealing his wardrobe shtick on this pod. STAY IN YOUR LANE PAL.

Where the Big Boys Play #65 - Great American Bash 91
Re: the listener question, I had a question. So Flair had an out clause in his contract, which is why this negotiating was happening when it did. Did WCW end up paying him the remaining amount due on his contract or was it a case where Flair opted out to renegotiate and then they just let him go?

Good Will Wrestling: Fixing the WWE Network Part Two
Great show - a must listen. I think the WWE's internal hurdles (couple in budget cuts now) around implementation and resources are what holds this back. As for cancelling, Chris didn't mention it (and I know it isn't lost on him) but I think there's a large group that cancel because of technical issues (still) - and they are their OWN tech issues. The stream can be great, but every end-user is different given their internet, router, and device. As a consumer, I log in a couple times a month, but especially for "special events" so they have my $9.99. As someone who routinely paid $55 to in part review shows last year, it's hard for me to relate to those who don't feel there is enough unique stuff outside the PPVs to warrant their money. Not that I don't think they should work on unique offerings to get repeated sign-ins. The one thing I don't get is how heavily featured the first season of Total Divas is on the Network. E! is a perfect place for that show, and while I get they already spent a ton to produce this content, who is signing up for the Network to watch this particular program? Keeping them in the vault is fine but they are on the live stream a good bit, which totally misses the mark imo.

[1998-01-19-WWF-Raw] Steve Austin, Vince McMahon and Mike Tyson
I liked the Volkoff touch because you could tell Tyson was a such a fan, he was almost gushing when having the chance to recall guys he watched. He very much wants to shake Stone Cold's hand is pretty much marking out before the push happens and everything breaks down. This was so huge at the time it made Sportscenter.

[1998-01-19-WWF-Raw] Interview: DX
Shawn stuffing the salami in his pants and pantomiming on it was something. Also the shot in the crowd of the redneck family going nuts at HHH's sexual innuendo (the dad has a "I want Chyna" sign, or something of that ilk. He reminded me of Kenny's Dad from Southpark) was pretty funny. When Shawn shifts to Stone Cold the crowd really goes nuts. Does he run down that he's a two-time Rumble winner also? I couldn't recall but liked his "been there, done that" promo.

[1998-01-22-WCW-Thunder] Scott Hall vs The Giant
Cool visual as the go-home segment for the PPV with the Giant destroying the ring with Hall still in it.

[1998-01-24-WCW-Souled Out] Ric Flair vs Bret Hart
I liked this a good bit - felt like both guys brought the best they had in the tank for that time. I didn't find it boring, the hold trading and match build was really well done. Thought Bret was good on his feet too - Flair kind of blows the atomic drop and Bret just head butts him down. Really liked the transition with Flair's chop block and Bret arguing with the ref. Bret methodically works in his 5 moves of doom before hitting the superplex (catching Flair again) and getting the clean submission. ***3/4 (so so close to 4 for me, I may re-watch)

[1998-01-24-WCW-Souled Out] Chris Benoit vs Raven
I wish WCW would have included a video highlighting the lead-up as understanding everything Benoit went through + the flock then being banned is a great story. Raven pays this off wonderfully, capped off with the smile in the crossface. The headbutt on the chair was wicked here. I may give this one a re-watch - ***3/4

[1998-01-24-WCW-Souled Out] Juventud Guerrera & Super Calo & Lizmark Jr & Chavo Guerrero Jr vs La Parka & Psicosis & Silver King & El Dandy
I liken this match to a Lucha appetizer sampler.Good work all around with Silver King, El Dandy and La Parka really standing out. Everyone got their dives in. Really the only part that wasn't as tight was Juvy/Silver King, which led to a 450 that Juvy took on his face. It didn't come close to "great" for me either Chad, but as an opener with a different flare, it was well done. ***1/2

[1998-01-24-WCW-Souled Out] Kevin Nash vs The Giant
Man the poor Giant has to be bent over in the powerbomb position for like a minute before Nash finally botches the move. I wonder if the mat was slippery from the coffee also. Post match they bandage the Giant's eyes and we get some match highlights including Nash executing the worst tope ever.
