I haven't had any issues with the VOD of XXX. We watched it on PS3 right after the show and I did again this afternoon. Sometimes as the feed starts you're almost in standard definition. My Xbox 360 has the biggest issue with this - especially with the live stream. But i think it's much more device/signal related than what they're putting out.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but October of '90 is right in the middle of Luger's best period ever as a worker, right? It's not until late '91-92 when he starts to dovetail off, if I recall correctly. And the Hansen comment is blatant misinformation from someone who barely watches Japan, as if I recall Hansen was still damn great until around the end of '93. Pretty much the stereotypical view of Luger and WCW back when it was first written. You are not wrong here.

If the story was supposed to be Paige luring AJ into the match, she shouldn't have completely been blindsided when AJ started the match and attacked her. I thought she came off awful here - both in the ring and on the mic.

Yeah no issues with the stream - it was an incredible success. As I watched Mania, I kept checking off things that Dylan had wished for as they were happening (Shield squash, HHH clean via pin, etc). Off to the post show now.

The crowd going numb for the next hour in disgust was quite the precursor to Bryan crowd creations (and how they deal with it) in 2014. The YES movement really was born at WrestleMania XXVIII. I'm glad we got to make that point on the show.

I thought the latest WrestleMania Rewind with Bret's two matches at 10 was pretty good. Plus I'm pretty certain they are cutting in different camera angles - in particular for the Owen match. Gave it more of a sports documentary feel.

I'm in the camp where they should have waited to do the Punk family stuff AFTER the Mania match - something Jericho would resort to after losing this match, and then leading to their street fight at Extreme Rules. Didn't think this first encounter needed that drama at all.

This match is amazing and I felt it was better on second viewing after seeing it live. While I wasn't big on the "DQ changes the title" stip for Punk - they only worked that in the early part of the match and then just dropped it anyway. It really was just to put over what a douche Jericho's character was. That said, the back work by Jericho on Punk is great - including a suplex to the outside. I thought Lawler was great on commentary here. We got a real Lion Tamer on Punk also. Each guy worked in great little reversals and instead of kicking out of finishers, they found other ways around it (Punk rolls to the outside, Jericho grabs the rope). The ending sequence with the Vice and Jericho kicking at Punk is fantastic, especially with Punk eventually keeping the hold on but avoiding the kicks as Jericho just flails away before tapping. I went ****1/4 and wouldn't argue against higher.

There was more inbetween Hogan/Rock and the main. Tag match too IIRC.
