Where the Big Boys Play #77 - Beach Blast 1992
I love the breakdown you guys give of the Ten Commandments. Great analysis and I find myself agreeing with a lot of what you say. Parv, believe it or not, Bill Watts would bring Russo into booking meetings during his brief run booking WWF in 1995, when Russo was just working on the Magazine. So you could say Watts of all people is indirectly responsible for Russo's rise to power.

Dangerous Alliance Wrestling Podcast #12
I'm almost 100% sure that Ranger Ross story is true. Wasn't the reason why he went all Rambo because he committed arson on a police station to get rid of evidence? Sleaze thread is genuinely cracking me up. Great stuff guys!

Worst wrestler/manager combination ever?
The story behind DiBiase and Maryse is that they wanted the two of them to act like a couple but Ted didn't want to do the storyline because he's married and it would go against his religious beliefs. I guess the guys that wrestled Ted would go out of their way to get Maryse involved in matches because she wanted to commit to the character but it just wasn't going to work with Ted.

WWE Network... It's Here
Watched the newest Table for 3, Regal's brass knuckles story is great. I could listen to that man talk forever. The guys mind just works on a different level.

Between the Sheets #16 (November 3-9, 1994) (Featuring "Dr. Lucha" Steve Sims)
I like that you guys mention the cosmetics of WWF TV in 1994. It really is such a weird time, almost 70's in its presentation. They ran such small towns too, Burlington VT, Poughkeepsie. Everything is just so...quiet for lack of a better word.

Worst wrestler/manager combination ever?
Rico managing 3MW was bizarre as fuck. Baron Von Raschke managing the Powers of Pain...as babyfaces? Slick and Rick Martel never clicked, thankfully they figured that out pretty quick.

Place to Be Podcast Thread
Man, this Angle Angle was the point where he really falls off the deep end for me. Regardless of what he may have been doing privately, Angle had a relatively clean image up until this point. Also around this time is the promo he cut about how people shouldn't dare boo him because his life was completely falling apart due to his dedication to wrestling. Yeah, this was the beginning of the DWI, pill-popping, domestic violence, one-bump-away-from-paralysis Kurt that we all know and love today. Just so uncomfortable all around. This is the kind of stuff that's embarrassing to watch. The kind of stuff that if a non-fan walks in and sees, they'll point out how stupid professional wrestling is and you really can't argue with them. And I love goofy smiling baby face but still psychotic Heidenreich. One of my all-time guilty pleasures.

WWE TV from November 8th to 14th of 2015
Rusev is hurt again. I like the Sheamus/Barrett pairing. Both guys are kind of treading water and I think the sum could be better than the parts.

WWE TV from November 8th to 14th of 2015
Well, It was fun while it lasted. I forget how big Titus is - Owens isn't small and he towered over him. Give these guys ten minutes. Titus nearly blasting him through the barricade was great.

WWE TV from November 8th to 14th of 2015
Owens vs Titus. Yeah, this is my jam

That's why this is continuously one of the best wrestling podcasts out there.

Seth Rollins out 6-9 months with torn ACL. Tournament at Survivor Series
I can't say I'll miss him. They literally have nothing to lose right now by testing the waters with a new guy. I demand Rusev. Got a weird feeling they'll do something nuts like give it to Del Rio.

WWE TV from November 2nd to 7th of 2015
I always thought pairing Swagger up with Brock would have done wonders for Swagger's career. Too bad using their true stars in a productive manner is such a laughable idea to them. Didn't Becky take acting classes when she spent time away from wrestling?

Greatest pro-wrestling debacle
They were also prepping Wyatt for Undertaker at Mania. Why wouldn't they want him to look strong? Picture Diesel in the 1994 Rumble. He still does the consecutive eliminations, everything remains the same, except he gets casually tossed by the Headshrinkers off camera. Does he get as over?

Greatest pro-wrestling debacle
I think 2015 was worse, because they were stupid enough to do the same thing again.Big difference. They handled Reigns well enough in the WM build to where the fans were elated to see Reigns get destroyed by Brock. They screwed the pooch bad enough in 2014 to get the fans so riled up that a change in plans was 100% necessary. If we're strictly talking booking, I feel like something that actually killed a territory or promotion is going to win. 1/4/99 Nitro would be in the running but it was the lack of a proper follow up (Goldberg going house and doing what Sting couldn't by destroying the nWo for good) that makes it stand out as garbage. I'm going to pick XPW. Just all of it. Even if they did handle him better post Rumble (which I don't think they really did) that night was a horrible debacle. Think '15 was much more defensible given the health issues Bryan had the year before. Count me in line with those wanting a Bryan win, but this year I understood the decision. It's really awful for reasons other than Bryan not winning though. Everything about that match screamed WE DON'T CARE WHAT YOU THINK. Bray Wyatt gets a nice little Rumble push, so does he last to the final two? No, he's casually dumped by Kane and Big Show. Health issues or not Bryan didn't need to be dumped like a complete loser, you could still eliminate him, just put some effort into it. You still could have had two monster heels team up and eliminate everyone and made it work. Why weren't Wyatt and Rusev in those spots? No, instead we got Kane and Big Show standing over the entire roster in 2015.

Greatest pro-wrestling debacle
Sting vs Hogan at Starrcade 1997. There wasn't a single thing executed properly in that fiasco.

Hogan - justified in WCW or not?
Goldberg never got another run with the WCW title. Just stop and think about that for a second. It's fucking mind boggling.

WWE TV 10/26-11/1
Was Triple H removing Vince from power the end of Mr McMahon on TV? I think he was briefly part of the Daniel Bryan stuff but I can't think of any recent examples of him in storylines.

Things in WWE you want to see more of?
More gyrating Big E.

Things in WWE you no longer want to see?
Bad booking. Fix that and everything else will work itself out.

WWE TV 10/26-11/1
The best option would be for Reigns to steamroll Rollins in four minutes.
-
WWE TV 10/26-11/1
Not a single member of the current roster in the commercial for their new video game besides Rollins. And Lesnar if you count him. Del Rio looked vicious tonight. There's quite a few guys on the roster I'd like to see him face.

Modern Indie Wrestling
Why's 2CW shutting down? I haven't been to a show in years but they always seemed to pull in decent crowds.
