WWE TV - 13/02 - 19/02
I like Enzo but the best use of him would be as a brawler. When he goes out there and tries to do the same head-scissors and dives matches everyone else does, just.....no. This is a company problem in general, WWE has a distinct lack of brawlers. It would be refreshing if they had a few punch and kick guys.

RIP Chavo Guerrero Sr.
One of my favorite things in wrestling is watching 80s territories and seeing the Guerreros pop up in the most random of places. The NWA Classics footage has shined quite the light on his career. Chavo was a fantastic worker only hurt by his brother overshadowing him and not really having a sustained run on a national level. Chavo as an early 90's WCW C-Show mainstay vet working everyone under the sun would have been awesome. And it's not really a significant part of his career but it's worth saying, he did get pretty F'in over in his brief WWE run.

Titans of Wrestling coming to an end
- The worst squash matches of all time
Even as Leif Cassidy, I remember Snow trying tons of stuff that just looked awkward as hell. There were several spots where the usual job guys had no clue what he was attempting and there was even some of that in the Michaels match. Snow was by no means incompetent, he just did not click at all when he first came in. He was much better in 97 after Jannetty left but by then, the writing was on the wall.- The worst squash matches of all time
Al Snow as Avatar vs. Brian Walsh, Monday Night Raw 1995. Walsh was a guy who always tried really hard to get himself over and Snow was always a little too ambitious in his early WWF run. It makes for a tremendous clash with Walsh flopping all over the place like a goof and Snow getting completely flustered after a few botched spots. And the crowd is completely DEAD. One of the quietest crowds I've ever seen. EDIT There were some pretty terrible Ahmed Johnson squashes during the Shotgun era, I thought the bad one was Andy Ellison but just checked and it's not. There was a jobber from this time who wrestled in a T-shirt and was too big to properly take most of Ahmed's offense, if I can find it I'll post. This is an awesome thread idea, BTW.- [2000-01-29-WCW-Worldwide] Tracy Smothers vs The Barbarian
- King's Court returning to SmackDown
https://twitter.com/JerryLawler/status/820347745466744832/photo/1?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw I'm excited. Heel Lawler was actually getting good right before the draft when nobody was watching SmackDown. If he's on your payroll, might as well use him. Hopefully this isn't just a one-time Memphis thing. "Kalisto is so stupid the teacher told him to raise his grades and he held his report card over his head!" "My next guest, Dean Ambrose, is so ugly when he was born, his mother got a ticket for littering!" The cheesier the better. Bring it!- Most Important Matches in History
It might be a bit of a stretch as it's difficult to classify monetarily, but Lawler vs. Funk in the empty arena deserves consideration. I feel it's the epitome of Memphis wrestling and it still gets talked about today. It's the ultimate example of thinking outside the box. For better or worse, all the crazy gimmick stuff we have today was born from that While I'm on a Lawler kick, how about Lawler vs. Kaufman? Using mainstream media to further a wrestling angle was pretty revolutionary. And to further my Lawler kick, I just read he's bringing back The King's Court to SmackDown. Awesome!- WWE Network... STOP EVERYTHING: Undertaker vs. Festus is finally on the network! Oh hell yes.- WWE UK Championship Tournament
I enjoyed this tremendously. Pete Dunne looks like a skeevy shithead who would sell you crappy weed out of his 1998 Saturn. I enjoyed all of his performance and look forward to seeing more from him. In the past 12 months we've seen Shinsuke Nakamura, AJ Styles, Chris Hero, Roddy Strong, Kota Ibushi, Austin Aries, Bill Goldberg, Zack Sabre Jr and Tajiri all wrestle on WWE Television. It's pretty surreal.- WWE Hall of Fame 2017
I would love to see Regis go in. How's his health these days? I'm sure his speach would be tremendous. For sheer what the fuck factor I wanna see Phil Collins inducted.- Most Important Matches in History
Would Buddy Rogers vs Pat O'Connor from Comiskey in 1961 count?- Letters from Kayfabe
- WWE TV 01/09 - 01/15
Just an observation, but remember the days when the jobbers were specifically told to not look interesting or stand out at all? The Tom Stones, Brian Walsh's and Reno Riggins's of the world. Today the enhancement talents stand out more than 90% of the roster. Between some of these girls and the goofs Strowman's been squashing it looks like an eight year old's create a wrestler roster.- WWE TV 01/09 - 01/15
Or they could just keep her as far away from Stephanie as possible. Stephanie pats herself on the back for giving all of the women a fair chance and on the same show she's knocking down Bayley for being average and plain. It's counterproductive, it makes no sense and it's awful.- Something to Wrestle with Bruce Prichard
I think Bruce is confusing that with a proposed WCW angle they used Daniels for around the same time...- WWE TV 01/02 - 01/08
Adding to the SmackDown love. This week's episode was REALLY good, even better than the usual high standard. One thing I'd like to see them do is beef up the baby-face side of things on top. I want to see Luke Harper as a baby-face. I can't even really comprehend what that would look like, but I have a crazy feeling it would work. They've already planted seeds for it if they choose to pull the trigger: - They tease tension between Harper and Orton, but they're not obvious about it. - They had Harper in that title match a few weeks ago and pushed how he's a wild card. They stressed how AJ had wrestled the other guys so many times he's familiar with them but he's never wrestled Harper. He's an unknown. I think he can get over in a 1997 Mankind kind of way.- WWE Network... It's Here
If you're going to do a show like that it's probably a good idea to have a moderator.- Where the Big Boys Play #90: Slamboree 1993
Yup, Keith and Kent Cole. Long in a line of "why have I never heard of these guys outside of 1993 WCW?" wrestlers. Booker and Stevie were very briefly Kane and Kole.- WWE TV 12/19 - 12/25
- Dave Meltzer stuff
How is David Otunga "clearly not suited" for commentary? He's been just fine on Smackdown.- WWE Roadblock: End of the Line 2016 Reaction Show
A major issue with Rollins is that they never really turned him face. HHH had no use for him anymore so he kicked him out of his group. That doesn't give Rollins sympathy, it makes him look pathetic. It's the exact same thing that happened with Orton's first face turn.- WWE TV 12/19 - 12/25
Mark Henry did some interviews last year where he mentioned this year would probably be his last. Braun as the guy who took out the World's Strongest Man could be a really fun angle if done right. Apparently, the two know each other from the weight-lifting circles so I'm sure Mark would have no issues doing it and it would be a natural feud. When Braun threw Sin Cara 10, 20, 80 feet off the stage last night, Hall of Pain immediately came to mind.- Between the Sheets #74 (December 14-20, 1998) (Featuring Maxwell Baumbach)
What were their plans for Marc Mero in 1999?- WWE TV 12/19 - 12/25
Any word on Emma's new character yet? Is she doing house shows or dark matches? I feel like they've been running these vignettes since the summer.... - The worst squash matches of all time
