Reactions to the List: 100-51
If the middle of Dustin's career had been as good as the beginning and the end, I think we'd be talking about him as a Top Ten guy. As it is, anywhere in the middle 50 wouldn't surprise me.

Same. I had Taker somewhere in my bottom 20. I never even considered Tanahashi.

I don't really get his charisma or his shtick. He looks like's on something to me. I get why people like his minimalist strike-based offence but he comes across as a bit limited to me like a Japanese version of DDP or Kazuo Yamazaki on methamphetamines. If someone had written this in Nak's discussion thread, I probably would have voted for him.

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List, Part 3
I had Colon low on my list after a burst of PR watching a year or so ago... and then completely spaced on him when I submitted my ballot. Not a guy I would have had high, but definitely deserved a ranking.

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List, Part 3
It is in Welsh. Someone more knowledgeable than me will have to weigh in on whether Reslo is different than World of Sport, but I believe it is. Rudge got DQ'd for crotching poor Robbie Brookside on the top rope. Effectively a low blow, and a disqualification.

70s to about 1983 Andre is awesome. Great stuff with Inoki, Hansen, and Killer Khan, just off the top of my head.

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List, Part 3
I am stunned I was not the high vote on Thesz. Concur with all of this. Thesz was as good as anyone at making a wrestling match look competitive.

I'd like it noted I did my part here.

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List, Part 3
I'd agree with that. We can argue over who has how much of it, but it's definitely something to consider.

If you don't have a healthy fear of Scott Steiner there is a solid chance that you might actually be Scott Steiner Your other choice is you lack any sense of self-preservation.

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List, Part 2
I'm actually enjoying it. The hue and cry of "NOOOO! MY FAVORITES ARE DROPPING AND SO TOO IS MY OVER-INFLATED SENSE OF HOW MUCH MY OPINION MATTERS!" is really quite spectacular. I've gone from dreading being the high vote on Triple H to kinda hoping I am just so I can bask in the knowledge that my vote has just as much value as the guys who seem to think that their bias is somehow more justified. Carry on, gents! Seriously. I kinda want to go back and revise my ballot so it's just WWF New Generation guys in alphabetical order. I am a little stunned to not be the high vote on Verne. Paul Volsch and I need to hang out.

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List, Part 2
It is now clear to me I did not vote high enough on Pat O'Connor. Hat's off to simen oem.

Antonio Inoki
God, I need to see an Inoki/Bockwinkel match yesterday.

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List, Part 2
Before today I never knew that a young Hacksaw Duggan looked like a puffy Forrest Griffin.

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List, Part 2
One of my bigger regrets for this project is not doing more digging into the 50s and 60s guys and getting more people like Bob Orton Sr nominated and pimped harder. There's definitely a footage issue, but there's material out there that hasn't really been looked at or talked about, either.

Your New Avatar: Show Off Your Shame
My new avatar is awesome and you are all fools for not voting Gorgeous George higher.

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List, Part 2
You are clearly a person of surpassing taste and quality. I will wear my new avatar with pride. George gets big points from me for basically inventing the act that gave us Flair, and to a lesser extent Bockwinkel, and hence all of their imitators. Every time I see a George match I see a spot I wish someone would steal today. Plus I once saw him hit the mother of all piledrivers on some match on ESPN Classic back in the 90s I haven't been able to find since. Amazing worker who would have gotten over any place, any time.

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List, Part 2
Oh good, I'm not the only one who doesn't remember their ballot. Guilty. I have no idea how many of mine have popped up. Not many. I am super disappointed in myself for not ranking Kohsaka, though. Huge oversight. I should have had a ton more shootstyle guys.

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List Part One
I'm not. I'll be surprised if he shows up before the 200s.

Antonio Inoki
By the sound of it I am definitely going to be the high Inoki vote, and that's having forgotten how much I love the Roland Bock match.

Reactions to the Honorable Mention List Part One
I voted Bubba somewhere in the 90s almost entirely on the strength of "he made me care a little about TNA for four months," which was such an amazing accomplishment I felt it had to be rewarded somehow.

As I watch names roll out and see votes, I feel 100% better about my ballot. My choices are impeccable.

Who Will You Be the High Vote On?
Forgot about Gorgeous George. I will be stunned if I'm not the high vote on George.
-
What did you learn about your fandom from GWE?
That I have no consistent standards. And that the 90s did not age well in my eyes.

Heavy Hitters that missed your list
Most of the lucha crew (squeezed Negro Casas on near the end), WoS, and joshi. The first two for lack of time, the last for... good god, I hope I never watch another 90s joshi match. Light on 90s juniors, too.
