2014 Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame thread
No Big Daddy love again Bix?
-
Ivan Koloff Documentary
They've surpassed the $4500 target now, which is great news.

WWE Network... It's Here
Hold on, aren't you from the UK? Yup, and used a VPN to access it.
-
Routines/Signature Exchanges
I never liked this spot. It made Flair look weak in my eyes, especially when he was the world champion.
-
WWE Network... It's Here
I let my subscription expire. Like someone said earlier, it still feels like a beta test. It had all the potential in the world, I realised this more and more over the last six months, even more so after listening to the WIll, Charles, Mookie podcast on fixing the network.

Famous fans
I am pretty sure she was a member of f4wonline.com before the merger too. I know Kieron Dyer is a big fan of WWE too.

Google Calendar - Pro Wrestling
I am a big user of Google Calendar to organise my life and such and I think it's a great. One of the features I like is subscribing to other calendars such as my football teams fixtures, and UFC events (https://www.google.com/calendar/[email protected]) - with so many UFC shows currently it serves as a good reminder who's on what shows. This calendar is updated often and has the fight cards listed which can come in handy. I was thinking, would anyone be interested in a Pro Wrestling calender? I am not sure if I can dedicate the time to update it but if someone else reads this and thinks it's a good idea they may like to do this project. Things I'd like to see in the Calendar: WWE/TNA/ROH TV shows and PPV/Network events with cards if possible. Any and all Wrestling iPPV's with cards if possible. Scheduled podcasts with upcoming guests if possible such as Austin's etc. House show schedule would be interesting too maybe? Release date of DVD's, Books, Magazines Anyone have any other ideas? I think it would be great if a few google calendars users collaborated on it as it would be a great reference point.

The Bix WhatCulture Thread
Enjoyed reading these and totally forgot that Bruce Prichard announced as the Wizard.
-
Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
I remember endless Jim Duggan squashes on the syndicated shows shown over here on the German channels. *shudder*
-
Commonly used words and phrases that annoy you
Steve Austin uses wrestling vernacular in every day speech if you listen to his podcast. "Gimmicks in the mail" and what not.
-
Titans Xtra
Really enjoyed episode two guys, great concept!
-
Impact Cancelled
GFW in my eyes will never materialise as promotion anyway.
-
WWF Magazine Memories
Jerry Lawler did some weird knights of the round table piece with his coat of arms building up his KOTR '95 match with Bret Hart, there's also a picture of him barefoot stood in slop next to a horse. 14 year old me didn't like it.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
An interesting view behind the curtain working for the WWE from a variety of employee's and ex-employees: http://www.glassdoor.co.uk/Reviews/World-Wrestling-Entertainment-Reviews-E5718.htm

Current WWE
I cannot believe in hindsight that the Fandango push and win over Jericho just wasn't really capitalised on. Bit of a waste all in all.
-
Shoots Review and Preview thread
Like others have said, I found the Justin Credible Timeline to lack and real insight into the promotion; well no more at least than what's already out there.
-
Pro-Wrestling Super Show: ECW Barely Legal (July 2, 2014)
This sounds fun, I'll try and take a listen to this next week.
-
Dave Meltzer stuff
I remember getting my internet news in 1995/1996 from Alex Marvez and his "View From Daytona" page or email. Hazy memories at best.
-
Matches that are too long
When I first saw this about a year later I thought it was absolutely phenomenal as I had never seen anything like it previously. The post match interview and angle was exquisite too. However, I'd be the first to admit that it hasn't aged that well.
-
Matches that are too short
The first one that popped in to my head was Owen Hart vs. 1-2-3 Kid from KOTR 1994.
-
1994 - The Good, The Bad & The Ugly
April 1994 was the arguably best month in ring ever,
-
Whose rep was particularly boosted by the Apter mags?
Thanks to PWI I thought George South and The Italian Stallion were somewhat legit stars.
-
The Roman Reigns push
The build is key to his ultimate elevation as #1 guy, at the moment it's not that strong as he should be kept away from numerous title shots until he's actually winning the belt.

1977 The War for Memphis (Mark James does it again!!!)
I have a few Mark James book, including the 70's results and the 1982 books. They're all great and I highly recommend them.
