What match in 1997? The only match I recall that took place in Croydon was the Great Sasuke, Hanzo Nakajima & Tiger Mask IV vs. SATO, Shiryu & Terry Boy match from Fairfields Halls on 2.6.96 which was taped and put on a commercial release called Michinoku Pro Great Britain Story Commercial Tape. It featured clips from the show at Croydon as well as Portsmouth. I remember the pictures in Powerslam at the time, and wished I could of gone.

I wouldn't say either of these 2 were that good. The only memorable Tenzan match I can recall is that one with Kawada years ago and I'm not even sure that holds up that well upon a re-watch. Tenzan has been in some great matches over the years. Akiyama/Tenzan in the G-1 Final from '03 is great for starters, and looking further back: 03/07/95 - Masa Chono & Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs Hiroshi Hase & Kensuke Sasaki 06/12/95 - Shinya Hashimoto & Junji Hirata vs Masa Chono & Hiroyoshi Tenzan 09/23/96 - Masa Chono & Hiroyoshi Tenzan vs Kazuo Yamazaki & Takashi Iizuka However, I do feel that be benefited a lot from being carried. I am on the fence as to whether he is good or just simply average.

I'd love to do one for Wrestling Eye for the UK cities, but I really would struggle due to the size of the UK and really, yes area's have history, but not to the same extent as in the US.
