WWE TV 04/01 - 10/01 Steph Curry is sensational
So, no talk about former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion "Scrap Iron" Adam Pearce facing WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at the Royal Rumble? Assuming the match actually happens, and if that's a big if, I'm intrigued. At the very least, it's something new and unexpected - two words rarely used to describe WWE these days.

Another amazing recap. Can't wait for Part 3!

WWE Network... It's Here
I think ending the streak would have done DDP more harm than good. It would have severely damaged a hot babyface act who got over organically (don't @ me with the "Bischoff's neighbor" crap, lol) because the fans would have resented him for it. Nash ending the streak was ludicrous, especially in light of what came before (Goldberg beating Hogan) and what happened after (the "fingerpoke of Doom"). Nash had been Hogan's underling at one point and therefore always the lesser of the two, so it wasn't believable at all. He had also cooled down considerably, so he wasn't nearly over enough at that point in time to 1. main event Starrcade 2. end the streak. It never, ever felt warranted or earned. Yes, it was a dirty finish with multiple people interfering and Scott Hall doing his best goofy midcarder Mountie cosplay with that atrocious shock stick finish, but still. If they were attempting to "protect" Goldberg, it didn't work. No one came out looking better after all that nonsense. And then the "fingerpoke" was the final fuck you from WCW to the audience, while Schiavone buried Mick Foley on commentary (per Bischoff's orders) and sent their dwindling fanbase switching over to USA Network in record numbers. So, who should have ended the streak? Hell if I know... WCW was pretty fucking lousy about making new stars, and I'm still shocked they somehow managed not to monumentally screw-up Goldberg despite all of the political pressure there must have been along the way to do so. If I'm forced to give an answer, I'd say Scott Steiner (but not cleanly). He was the closest thing they had to resembling a credible main event heel. If they hadn't completely screwed the pooch on Bret Hart, he might've been a viable choice. But with WCW being WCW, that ship had long sailed by the time Goldberg was ready to end the streak.

The Thread Killer Talks Too Much: The Recaps
What an amazing recap. Thank you! I was actually worried that Bischoff had to sell his dream home in Wyoming when he moved to CT for WWE, which ended up being ill-fated, so I'm quite relieved that wasn't the case.

Won't ever happen because Linda McMahon threw away millions of dollars donating to a Trump re-election Super-PAC. The McMahons are all-in with Trump.

WWE Network... It's Here
Came here to post the same thing. He both looked and sounded like shit. Hope he’s okay. That aside, he came across as arrogant and clueless, and didn’t really add much of anything to the episode.

Alicia Fox was damn good, and I don't care what anyone has to say about it!

WWE TV 04/01 - 10/01 Steph Curry is sensational
You're throwing shade at my post without really reading it. I specifically referred to his WWE stint when he was in an organized (at the time), controlled (at the time) environment. Everything after that was indeed a heaping pile of shit. As for Goldust, doesn't the earliest stuff pre-date Russo being in any kind of influential role? Yep, which was my original point to begin with. Peak 2021 WWE (and really peak 2001-2021 WWE) is ignoring the basic adage of letting characters be themselves with the volume turned way up. Lacey has an incredible story IRL. But instead of that, we get this putrid "Sassy Southern Belle" character that wouldn't survive a rewrite on any third-rate sitcom.

Current New Japan
Jay White: ‘I’m Done’ With New Japan Pro-Wrestling After New Year Dash (WrestleZone) I assume this is a work, but if it isn't, do you think he's better off going to the U.S. now like A.J., Omega, etc. did after their hot runs, or do you think he'd be better off spending another year (or three) in NJPW?

No he wasn't, and I wish the fans and "reporters" could separate the wheat from the chaff when it comes to his opinions, instead of demonizing and vilifying him wholesale. There's definitely a lot to disagree with when it comes to Russo, but I've never understood the mindset of discarding his success entirely because he couldn't sustain it outside the organized (at the time) WWE environment and "machine." The fact is, very few could.

Wrestling Inc. posted a "report" indicating that WWE is "very interested" in signing Scurll, but it's been pulled. WOR was cited as the original source. I assume nothing of the sort was ever actually said by Meltzer and co. and Wrestling Inc. lazily posted without verifying? Prediction: Goldberg wins title, Big E wins Rumble, Roman costs Bryan in RR match to set up their feud, Big E goes to Raw to reunite with New Day and face Goldberg.

Did the show cut off for anyone else to some shit with Rob Riggle? And WTF was Oldberg babbling about, saying Drew has no respect for the Legends? Did I miss a segment? Drew's current character has always been about respect.

Is it just me or are the Legends - many of them elderly - seated together way too close for comfort during a worldwide pandemic?

I assume your ex wasn't a child. "Legal" or not, it's gross. And, you know, she says it's rape. Don't think your ex is saying that either. Just because Harvey Weinstein and Bill Cosby were worse than other celebrities, that doesn't mean the others didn't commit crimes too. Same with Joey Ryan vs. Marty Scurll and others. Not that it makes any difference: He'll be in AEW by the end of the month anyway.
