  1. Might have to re-watch it on Hulu without commercials. The constant commercial breaks really killed it for me. As stupid as AJ (allegedly) is, Kurt Angle also laughed his ass off at that Kid Rock nonsense. Gallows and Anderson being released proved that AJ isn't the big deal in the eyes of the office that all of his fans thought he was. Case-in-point: Drew Gulak gets released/his contract expires, and he's back within weeks, presumably for more money. Bryan > AJ in the eyes of the office (and in every other metric too, let's face it). I could easily see AJ walking away when his contract expires
  2. Modern WWE PPV crowds are useless barometers anyway. Even the company mocks them with terms like "Bizarro Land." Depending on the town, the "fans" are more inclined to get themselves over and throw beach balls at each other than enjoy the show they paid for and express genuine, heartfelt, honest-to-goodness appreciation for great wrestlers wrestling great matches. They're too cool for that, Brewster!
  3. Bayley is the shits. After all this time, it's still like she's cosplaying as a heel.
  4. Maybe I'm just in a mood, or maybe it's the lengthy and excessive commercial breaks completely killing the momentum, but this match isn't doing it for me the way I expected it to. AJ in general hasn't done much for me for a while now.
  5. Not that I'm defending this tired shit, but didn't Jim Cornette or some other old-timer once say that that wrestling storylines become fresh again after seven or ten years? Something like that.
  6. WTF DID I JUST WATCH with that Jeff Hardy-Sheamus segment???!!!
  7. That is a shame indeed, but you can't have everything.
  8. I loved the SummerSlam match. Easily the best match on the card. Nothing else came close. People just didn't like it because it was a smartly worked wrestling match with both wrestlers expertly telling an in-ring story through their bodies and bumps - not a flashy "movez" fest.
  9. Because Bischoff has never been a "babyface" in the eyes of the fans. All the others have been. Even Brucie has his dedicated followers because of the podcast. This sounds like a living hell. But if you're a single guy who does a lot of drugs, doesn't want a family, wants steady employment and a "purpose" - all things that are or at least were probably true about Bruce - I can sort of see the attraction. Edge vs. Orton - like DUH!
  10. People can laugh at Bischoff for getting hired and fired in record time, but I'd like to think that him getting the hell out of there so quickly is only going to benefit his mental and physical health in the long run.
  11. You're right about that. Expecting a pro wrestler to be anything other than an overgrown man-child with very simplistic and/or backward views of the world is probably asking too much. Only wrestlers who have gotten outside the bubble - like Foley, Rock, and Batista - have evolved past that.
  12. Comeback of the year for Prichard though. From being a TNA stooge and Conrad's insurance lackey (or whatever Conrad sells) to a successful podcast and a top position in WWE - gotta give it to the Prich!
  13. Daniel Bryan by a mile. AJ's WWE run has been good but overrated and filled with more misses than hits. Plus, he's a flat-earther.
  14. WWE officially confirmed it: https://www.wwe.com/article/raw-smackdown-led-by-bruce-prichard (although a Satin confirmation is basically a WWE confirmation at this point). No big loss, honestly. Heyman either lost whatever mojo he once had, or - more likely - wasn't ever allowed to truly be himself. His booking of Raw was scattershot at best - probably because of Vince interference.
  15. Damn, this is one of the ones I've always believed too. I'm not sure if my belief came from Keith though (I wasn't a regular reader of his). Are we sure Meltzer or even Keller didn't also report it?
  16. Honestly, it's probably some no-name producer no one has ever heard of or cares about. But yes, the person absolutely should be named.

  18. Kross is the next Gangrel or Mordecai.
  19. But somehow Sheamus projects tallness. Kross doesn't.
  20. This made me look up Kross's height. Assuming it's not a worked number, I was surprised to see it listed as 6'4. He's deceptively tall, but it doesn't come across at all on TV. And to be fair, Marko Stunt would probably stand out in Brazil.
  21. Yeah, I don't get it either. As much as internet fans ridicule Kevin Nash's "airport test" philosophy, this guy absolutely would not stand out in a crowd.
  22. Agreed. No complaints here.
  23. And that's what happened.
  24. The only way Charlotte loses is if Rhea pins Shirai or vice versa.
