    CHRISTIAN WINS!!!

These near falls are making my heart palpitate. AEW is three seconds away from utter ruination if the wrong wrestler wins.

The main event is on first! Unexpected, but I'm not complaining.

    I hope so, Dawg.

First AEW PPV I've ordered since Revolution '22, which I genuinely remember nothing about. This is strictly a one-match show for me - The Stinger's sendoff - so everything else is a bonus IMO. Does B/R also show the Buy In? I remember them doing so, but it's been a while.
  6. I don't understand why fair use doesn't apply in cases like this, but I'm not a legal expert. I read a funny comment on Reddit that Tony should use the footage without WWE's permission and then pay whatever the lawsuit costs because he can afford it. That's absolute madness, and I don't agree, but lol.

Garcia beating a generational talent like Christian would be awful, so no, that absolutely should not happen.
  8. Kevin Kelly embarrasses himself and the company on Sting's big weekend.
  9. Sad news. I thought he was a great bodyguard for the Million Dollar Man, and I loved his babyface run against DiBiase as the Million Dollar Champion. I also recall him being one of Bret Hart's early World Title defenses when he was a "fighting champion." I'm glad he got one more chance in the spotlight with AEW by appearing in a video as Soul Train Jones.
  10. Something about the AEW system is completely and utterly broken if you're a young wrestler. Jade Pillman Jr. Hook They'd all be better off elsewhere if they want to actually improve. Two of them already are and are.
  11. Sincere question: Are you still talking about Vladimir or are you now referring to yourself? We're both on a wrestling message board, so we're arguably more invested in this form of entertainment than the average fan (but thankfully not quite as invested as Vladimir).
  12. That's not what he said before though. My inclination is to immediately take this with a grain of salt, but damn, Rollins vs. Reed would've been a banger - especially in Australia - even if the result was never in doubt.
  13. Drew McIntyre's book is $2.99 on Kindle. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08PVYDPJW
  14. This was the ultimate filler show. I skipped the pre-show Women's Tag Team Title match because who cares? I watched Women's Chamber. Skipped Men's Tag Titles because the result was a foregone conclusion. Good rasslin' means jack shit if I'm not invested in the story. The Cody segment went on way too fucking long, wasn't very good for large stretches, and he still hasn't addressed why he stepped out of the WrestleMania main event and then back in again. I started Men's Chamber, got restless, skipped to the end. Did I miss anything? I doubt it. Happy Drew won though. I skipped Rhea vs. Nia entirely, which is the definition of a nothing match, but I'm happy Rhea got to main event in her home country. Bronson Reed should request his release immediately. No room for an entertaining "hometown" hoss on a show that would have sorely benefited from his presence? Come on... No, the pregnant wife newz has nothing to do with anything. That's all bullshit.
  15. You're rightfully distraught about what's going on right now in wrestling, and Vladimir did sound like one of those obsessed fans who was one snub away from becoming a serial killer (like that one Robert De Niro-Wesley Snipes movie), but 90% of the wrestlers he's enjoyed watching over the decades had nothing to do with these horrible crimes. Damien Demento never shit on anyone*. *that we know of
  16. Can we be best friends? You like Mauro and acknowledge him as the voice of a generation, right?
  17. Especially when "The Wrath of Khan" was right there.
  18. There's a short documentary about him on Peacock, but I can't remember if it really goes into his job history.
  19. The Bray-LA Knight and MJF-Devil votes are complete fucking jokes when Tyrus vs. EC3 was in both of those categories.
  20. So happy to see the long overdue Christian love!
  21. I still like you. Usually I don't pick such low-hanging fruit, but you walked right into it with your brain cells comments, lol - I had to throw that back at you. I meant it in a joking manner. Didn't mean to misquote you. I knew full well you meant more than just the limited context in which I used your quote. You've completely lost me with your "lulz Roma" rant though. No one is dismissing what Roma said re: allegations, but this is a message board, and side conversations are inevitable. I'm glad I've found the one other Roma fan in the world. Fair enough on Sid. I liked him too. I just didn't think he was a great Horseman because - like Lex - it was obvious he was already "bigger" than the group from the minute he joined. Agreed about Roma being a better tag guy. The Young Stallions was before I started watching wrestling, and I've probably only seen 1-2 matches of theirs, but Jim Powers is another one who I've always wondered why never got a real push. Decent look and decent in the ring. He presumably took massive amounts of steroids when he went to WCW, and for what? He was used as a jobber anyway, and that look was more preferred in the WWF.
  22. ck Never said I had contempt for wrestling itself. Certain parts of it and certain people in it, yes, but I don't think I'm alone in that. As for the fans, venture outside of PWO and you'll see what I mean. There are a couple of other good places with intelligent fans: WC, CSS, etc. But 99% of the social interactions on wrestling sites make me weep for humanity. Pick a random "newz" site, for example, and read some of the comments. *Shudder* I disagree plenty here, but for the most part, it's fun and civil.
  23. Why did you comment without reading my post? I specifically said I did not count PWO among the type of wrestling fans I mean. Do better, be better, Ricky.
  24. If you mean my Roma post, well, you can't lose what you never had to begin with. Every time I go against the grain of one of the sleaziest and dumbest fanbases in existence (I don't mean PWO, but there is definitely some groupthink here too), I pat myself on the back Barry Horowitz-style. El-P said it best:
  25. TK is now beefing on Twatter with O'Shea Jackson Jr. (son of Ice Cube) for...reasons?
