  1. I've noticed this since the Attitude Era. Unfortunately, as @pmo pointed out above me, very little has changed since then. Give me back the era of Ric Flair, Macho Man, Razor Ramon, etc. I always loved their color game.
  2. The three biggest stars in AEW history (yes, two of them are also former and once again current WWE stars) absolutely SHINED in the Rumble. I said it at the time, and I'll keep saying it: Tony Khan getting rid of Cody Rhodes was a catastrophic mistake that continues to have a damaging domino effect on AEW. Cody was the only grown-up in the room, PERIOD. People on PWO can deny it all they want because Cody was involved in a couple of underwhelming "focus grouped" storylines with Luther and Anthony Ogogo, or whatever, but it remains the truth and becomes truer and truer every single day. #FinishTheStory I won't even get into why the other EVPs not being able to do business with Punk was laughably bush league and something they deserve to be repeatedly mocked for because they damaged the company and left untold millions on the table (and no, I'm not excusing or waving away Punk's actions or culpability by any means), or what a banana peel it was for TK not to do everything in his pocketbook to keep Jade, because both of those are fairly obvious. Starks, Powerhouse Hobbs, and eventually MJF will all make the jump as soon as they can IMO. (In MJF's case, I'm convinced he re-signed, so it won't be right away. If he somehow didn't...oof!)
  3. Terrible answers. At least trot out the "we can't comment on pending legal matters" because that's the truth.
  4. Why did they both say? Unless CM Punk is there wolfing down muffins and Spindrift, these "press conferences" are rarely worth bothering with.
  5. With only four matches, I was hoping for a shorter show, but that didn't happen. These things really need to be three hours. I was tired by the time KO vs. Logan Paul came on (that match should have been before Roman's, which was dead and heatless in any position) and exhausted by the time the men's Rumble finally rolled around.
  6. SI publicly walked that back.
  7. As soon as Punk heeled it up with the "Dusty's kid" shtick during the match, I knew he was toast.
  8. The two top stars in AEW history (yes, both former and current WWE stars) are in the final two of the Royal Rumble - wild! (Ditto for AEW's biggest female star in the women's Rumble.)
  9. Agreed, but fuck it, I'd pop for a Roman vs. Sami WM main event. Cody can finish his story some other time.
  10. SAMI ZAYN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  11. Jabronis like Ricochet should be used early in the match to do exciting shit and then get eliminated by a GUNTHER type. It's not believable that he'd win.
  12. Or 27
  13. Sex pest vanilla jabronis like JD McDonagh are such a waste of a late spot. He's never, ever getting over.
  14. Only one of them will still be in WWE in five years.
  15. Karrion Kross looks like an indie jobber.
  16. Andrade and Santos are wearing the same colors.
  17. There was at least one commercial with LA Knight, someone else (Bianca?), and Macho Man.
  18. Is it just me does absolutely no one in the crowd give a fuck that Andrade is back?
  19. This is where a DQ finish works. In no galaxy should KO be losing to a Suicide Forest YouTuber.
  20. Bray was no longer The Fiend by that point. And I contend that the Pitch Black match, while obviously no wrestling masterpiece, would be more fondly remembered if not for the Mountain Dew tie-in. The visuals were insanely cool.
  21. Season 1 of NWA Powerrr >>> This match
  22. Point taken, but in the case of the useless DeMott, even a broken clock is right twice a day.
  23. He sucks, YEAH!! #BillDeMottWasRight (about that and nothing else)
  24. This is the epitome of a nothing match. At most, we'll get a DQ win for someone else as a "surprise."
  25. LEX LUGER TOSSING YOKOZUNA ON THE U.S.S. INTREPID
