WWE TV 08/05 - 08/11 Comedy can truly help in dark times
Great, they're making Gable look like a fucking geek right off the bat - as if the bad haircut didn't already do that. I HATE THIS COMPANY! I believe in the power of reality - and reality says Black will be cut off at the knees, mismanaged, and emasculated.

Aleister Black will be Drew McIntyre in six months. BELIEVE THAT!

KO is magic on the mic right now, even within the constraints of shitty scripted WWE promos and bad storylines. BTW, I liked Dolph's hair tonight.

I was kinda, sorta hoping the Goldberg rumors were a red herring and it would really be HBK vs. Dolph. Say what you want about them, but I'd tune in to see how that turned out.

Glad characters who are over - Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross - won the Women's Tag Team Titles instead of "rasslers" who aren't over - Asuka and Kairi Sane.

The Warlord is back!!! Oh wait, that's Luke Gallows...

Is it an accident that they've delayed his actual in-ring return this long? Like "Crow" Sting, I have a feeling the illusion will evaporate the minute he steps between those ropes. Hope I'm wrong, because Bray Wyatt has hit a home run with this Firefly Fun House and Fiend character.

GIve Seth credit where it's due - that was probably his best promo to date. Because of the situation he was selling, he couldn't rely on his usual crutches - such as his mugging and over earnestness.

Would it kill WWE to spend more than five cents on sets? That terrible "OBGYN office" was clearly a bad set hastily constructed backstage at the arena.

Cole's hand gestures make him look ridiculous.

Not sure if this is the right place for this, but I don't know where else to put it. The more things change, the more they stay the same.

WWE TV 07/29 - 08/04 Hey whatever this country is broken
- AEW on TNT
Speaking of "poking the bear," interesting comment here from Cody... He has a point. While Vince surely deserves some of the blame, many of the NXT call-ups have been abysmal flops.- WWE TV 07/29 - 08/04 Hey whatever this country is broken
Sorry about that!- WWE TV 07/29 - 08/04 Hey whatever this country is broken
Accidentally posted this in the wrong thread before... Becky Lynch has officially become obnoxious. (I realize it's all in character, but that only makes it worse. Yikes!)- WWE TV 07/29 - 08/04 Hey whatever this country is broken
Except, this match would be in Toronto, which has historically been "bizarro-land" for fan reactions.- WWE TV 07/29 - 08/04 Hey whatever this country is broken
Luke Evans is pretty fantastic and can mug and overact with the best of them, so he'd actually fit right in with WWE.- WWE TV 07/29 - 08/04 Hey whatever this country is broken
I'd laugh my ass, and I can't lie, I'd mark out a bit too. It would be so bad and so absurd, which would make it the greatest thing ever!- Dave Meltzer stuff
Simon Gotch is an ass.- WWE TV 07/22 - 07/28 RAW Reunion! Candice Michelle is back!!!
Accidentally posted this in the wrong thread. See: (Yes, this is the second time this week I've done this, for those of you keeping score.)- RIP Harley Race
Wrestling definitely lost one of the greats today... It's amazing to think he was only 43 when he joined the WWF in 1986. He seemed easily a decade or two older.- All Elite Wrestling
In this case, the payoff would be Cody beating Spears' ass in the rematch - maybe inside a steel cage. (I'm assuming Spears would win the first match because of the hypothetical Arn turn.)- All Elite Wrestling
I hope it's Arn and he turns on Cody. Dusty warned us all about that "walk-behinder," baby!- AEW on TNT
Hopefully never, because the last thing AEW needs is a homophobic redneck liability like Jay Briscoe. Oh, but "they're good at the rasslin'," so all will be forgiven. To me, signing older indie acts is something that should be done sparingly - and there are already enough others on the roster who fill that quota (SCU, etc.). The only older indie types who should be brought in at this point are the ones who can move the needle and generate positive publicity and buzz, and that ain't these guys. AEW has the right idea going after youngsters like Jungle Boy, MJF, and other "blue chipper" types who seem new and fresh, don't have baggage, and can be built up as homegrown AEW stars.- All Elite Wrestling
I get that sentiment, but I still think Stunt stands out. He literally looks like he's 13. I really have to wonder WTF he was thinking. If he was ever hoping to get signed by AEW, he won't now. I can even see WWE, ROH, and Impact all passing on him at this point because he came across as embarrassing and unhinged. When you're as generic and unmemorable as this indie schmuck is, you can't afford any further deficits. - AEW on TNT
