  1. Regardless of what you think of Jay Lethal, this is a fantastic read... http://www.espn.com/wwe/story/_/id/26376275/roh-champion-jay-lethal-journey-msg-was-family-affair
  2. I'm almost sorry you didn't get the U.S. build, because the Flair-Savage feud even incorporated WWF Magazine - one of the few (only?) storylines ever to do so. It was rad!
  3. That's your loss then. Most people who criticize the ending of Lost either didn't understand it or didn't understand what the focus of the show actually was. I thought it was a great ending. That puts me in the minority, I suppose, but I'm okay with that. Unless it got spoiled for you, I highly encourage you to give the show a chance. Is it perfect? No. There are uneven storylines and uneven seasons. But overall, it's pretty damn epic. Almost forgot this was a wrestling board, so... Asuka, WWE, Charlotte, blah blah blah.
  4. I'll be (probably) the lone defender of the WrestleMania 8 build. Yes, there was a messy transition from Hogan vs. Flair (then considered the dream match to end all dream matches) to the "double main event" of Hogan vs. Sid and Flair vs. Savage. Somehow, WWE managed to make Hogan-Sid seem like a dream match (even if the end result was utter shit) and Savage vs. Flair a nasty feud. "Elizabeth was mine before she was yours! Woooooo!!!" And let's not sleep on that amazing Piper vs. Bret face vs. face build and match for the IC Title. Plus, fun pairings like Undertaker vs. Jake and Shawn vs. Tito. Of course, the night ended with the epic return of the "fake" Ultimate Warrior (lol) - because the real one died, according to schoolyard chatter. I was thoroughly sports-entertained leading into Mania 8.
  5. Drew is losing - cleanly, decisively, and possibly quickly. It won't matter. This is modern WWE we're talking about, after all. AJ lost to Jericho a few years ago and became the #1 contender the next night.
  6. Asuka beat Becky clean as a sheet, via tapout, at the Royal Rumble. Didn't matter. Didn't raise her stock in the eyes of the fans. She's never going to be that "top guy" you all want her to be, and not all of that is down to crappy booking (of which there is in spades). I still think she could be a valuable underneath player and gatekeeper though. If they had to shoehorn anyone else into the WM main event, Charlotte is the best possible person to put in that position. As much as I wanted the match to be Becky vs. Ronda 1 on 1, you can't say Charlotte hasn't added her own flair (no pun intended, or maybe the pun is intended?) to the proceedings. You have to give the Queen that, if nothing else. I certainly agree with the rest of what you said.
  7. Funny how I was ridiculed endlessly on this forum for suggesting that Asuka really isn't that over, really doesn't draw any money, and really doesn't matter all that much - and now all of that has been proven true and is being echoed by others here, finally. For all we know, she may not even be on the WrestleMania card at this point, and it doesn't affect the show one bit. Yes, you can blame bad booking and bad handling on that just as much as anything else, but that's hardly an issue exclusive to Asuka. Going with Charlotte over Asuka last year, last night, and in the future was, is, and always will be the right decision to make. With all of that said, can Asuka be used a lot better than she is? Sure. Even I can admit that much!
  8. How far Shelton Benjamin has fallen... Update: How far Gallows and Anderson have fallen... Have far Nakamura and Rusev have fallen...
  9. I wouldn't mind a unification. Hell, unify the men's titles too.
  10. So, Asuka gets shifted over to the pre-show to put over the WWE's next big star in the Moolah? (Mandy Rose? NXT call-up?)
  11. You stop that! I know in my heart that "Roman Reigns," "Joe," "The Big Dawg," and "Leakee" are all household "ménage" names in France.
  12. It's accurate thinking. They're the Apollo Crews of SNL. Weekend Update hasn't had buzz in years. Every time there's an episode of SNL, all the talk is about Alec Baldwin as Trump and other celebrity guests.
  13. Remember when Angle vs. Joe was actually considered a dream match? One of the very few TNA PPVs I ever ordered.
  14. Didn't these losers host the Emmys, or was that some other equally unfunny and irrelevant pair?
  15. These two SNL nobodies have negative charisma. Woof!
  16. Braun has been turned into a geek like almost everyone else.
  17. This "Joe" shit is dumb. And Drew's "haven't you put them through enough?" was met with apathetic silence instead of the shocked heat he was expecting. Nice brawl at the end though!
  18. I hate Lashley and even I'm all over this idea!
  19. Rumor has it that the other consideration for the WM main event was actually Brock vs. Seth. Ugh! A terrible match, ice cold, but that was in the conversation and Bryan vs. Kofi wasn't?
  20. Molly Holly should have gotten in years ago.
  21. I am guessing he isn't in this year, because they started the HOF announcements with DX and ended with Hart Foundation. Seems like appropriate bookends. Beefcake being announced after would be weird. I eagerly look forward to being quoted when I'm wrong though. Edit: I wonder if Harlem Heat got the spot rumored/planned for Brutus "the fucking Barber" Beefcake? That would make sense, because I don't think there were any rumors about Harlem Heat going in before it happened, were there?
  22. Wasn't that the whole family though? Not exactly the same as a tag team.
