  1. My friend found this. Haven't watched yet, so I can't say how good it is. Cool find nonetheless.
  2. I know, @The Thread Killer. You don't have to defend paying $9 a month. Sorry if it sounded like I was attacking that. I wasn't. From what you've described both now and before, it seemed like a really good deal at first. Since then, the content has dried up for whatever reason. But yeah, if it ever goes back to what it was those first couple of weeks, I think $10 seems like a good value for something you obviously really enjoy. $100 a month is insane no matter what it is. If Bischoff is getting even a few people to spend $100, I have to imagine Russo and other fringe/niche characters are probably making a bit of money too. (Not that I'm equating Bischoff with Russo - not at all - I'm just saying that there's clearly money to be made.)
  3. It doesn't even bother me that none of them got a World Title run. That simply wasn't how things were done then. Even the most naive 12-year-old fans had no expectations of any of those guys winning the World Title. The big problem was, all of those guys lost ALL THE TIME - Bam Bam to LT being the most obvious example, but even Sid and the Kid was a midcard fodder team that went nowhere, Tatanka went from undefeated to undercard, Bundy was neutered as a threat, etc.
  4. I'll defend the "Richard Fliehr" speech. Other than the cringey "this is not a character" and "Bad Guy 101" Russo-riffic references, I thought it was a very powerful and well-delivered speech - maybe H's best ever. It did make Flair look like a sad old man though. I am hoping against hope that Flair is in on this with Batista (we never did see the attack), with his rationale being, "Hunter, you look at me like an old dog ready to be put to the pound, but Big Dave realizes that I still am and will always and forever be the NATURE BOY! WOOOOOOOOOO!!!"
  5. Sadly, I didn't become a fan until Bundy's lackluster run with the Million Dollar Corporation stable (although I'm sure I saw Hogan/Bundy at WM2 somewhere along the way). Even then, I knew of Bundy's history and knew he wasn't being used to his full potential. Still, Taker-Bundy being booked for WM shows that they still saw some mileage left in the big man. Has there ever been a worse stable than the Million Dollar Corporation when you consider how many talented people it had and how badly they were all used during that period?
  6. I like Foxy more than most people on the internet seem to, but she's doing herself no favors with babbling posts like this one:
  7. Gail Kim defends Torrie Wilson's HOF induction:
  8. I saw a fan on Twitter claim Russo and Disco were the only people in wrestling he still followed. Think about that for a minute. It takes all kinds. NOT that I'm equating @The Thread Killer's Patreon support of Eric Bischoff with that. Not at all. I'm just responding to your comment.
  9. In & Out was great, but it probably shouldn't be your first Selleck, simply because this role plays with the expectations everyone had of him at the time and turns them on its ear.
  10. True, but: 1. We don't know if it's a substance abuse problem, per se, or if she was just drunk that day. 2. Getting into the ring in that condition is partly on her. I don't see why Arn would have to shoulder the full blame. But like you said, this is but 1 of 5 stories going around, and it doesn't add up IMO, so we should probably wait to hear more.
  11. But Alicia still has a job? Until we know that's no longer the case, I'm going to call BS on this rumor.
  12. Beefcake deserves to be in, based on the current criteria and who else is already in. Torrie Wilson is a stretch. The only thing remotely memorable she was ever involved in was the Dawn Marie feud, and Dawn and Torrie's dad carried that. (And Playboy too, I guess?) No matter how old (or young) are you, I don't see how you can come to the conclusion that Torrie is more well-known than Beefcake. Watching even one previous WrestleMania gives you a more memorable Beefcake moment than anything Torrie has ever done in her entire career. With that said, Beefcake comes across as a total buffoon in his book, so the speech should be interesting if it's not written for him and he's given enough rope to put his fungus-ridden foot in his halitosis-infested mouth.
  13. How far The Ascension has fallen.
  14. Lio should win the title. Would be interesting.
  15. Yeah, Becky Lunch looks godawful. Becky Lynch looks awesome.
  16. That Baron Corbin segment was pretty fucking tasteless, and it won't get him an ounce of heat or interest.
  17. I'm really glad the fans didn't boo Roman.
  18. I wonder if Conrad even got paid for hosting the press conference?
  19. After TJP's bizarre rant about Ricochet's debut, I'm not surprised.
  20. I think hard living - drugs, drink, not smiling enough - did more to age him than simply being a "youthful beauty" who got old.
  21. Even Edge admits that he's not good looking, although I can certainly understand the appeal. As for Christian, I think he's someone who looks better now than he did in his prime. The haircut definitely helped.
  22. That other Hemsworth brother?
  23. Peter Gallagher would be my choice.
  24. Ty Dillinger requested his release.
  25. I think that was always separate from Bischoff, and I'm pretty sure I remember Bischoff saying he never got involved in it or asked Oono about it. Wasn't the lawsuit more stemming from that interview Russo did where he said he'll never care about Mexican and Japanese wrestlers?
