Somebody is trying to get fired... Off-topic, but this is a nice pic and moment.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2019
Well, it's kinda easy to be the best mini wrestler in WWE when there was only one other. That spot was always going to have a shelf life. With that said, yeah, it's a shame WWE all but ignored Torito and Hornswoggle after they stole the show on two consecutive PPVs.

Bray is awful, and I hope to fuck he's not Bryan's opponent. How those shitfest matches with Orton (which, granted, weren't all Bray's fault) didn't eliminate him from the World Title scene forever is beyond me.

The Pro-wrestling Curve of Attractiveness
Yeah, certain posters here seem to make it their gimmick to be perpetually offended. Wish I could find and quote the post, but someone here somewhere said that a wrestler's in-ring skills have the effect of making them even more attractive than they are already. I agree. Also, having something upstairs counts for a lot in my eyes. For example, Torrie Wilson was an astonishingly beautiful woman, but the minute she opened her mouth, she lost all attractiveness for me because she came across like a massive airhead. My favorite in the Attitude era was Molly. Looked amazing and natural, and became even more attractive to me because she was the best female worker in the company by a mile. (Don't waste your time rebutting with "but Trish" when she got more matches and longer matches to strut her stuff.) Here's where I stand on a few of the modern wrestlers, including some mentioned above: Emma/Tenille Dashwood: She was probably the most attractive to me, and not far behind in her ring skills either. It's a pity she's now being wasted in ROH's DOA women's division. (Is she even still there?) Iiconics: I find Peyton the more attractive of the two, but I think they're attractive together as a pair. The accents really help. Alexa: She has a modern-day Nicole Eggert vibe going for her. Nia Jax: I'm in the minority, but I think she's stunning. Even her clumsy recklessness doesn't change that for me. Naomi: Very beautiful woman and fun to watch athletically. Four Horsewomen (WWE): Charlotte does nothing for me, not because of her looks, but because she comes across as such a spoiled brat whenever she and Ric are together on Network specials. Total turn-off for me. Sasha, Becky, and Bayley are all gorgeous in their own way, with their great wrestling skills and characters that make them even more attractive. I might change my mind about Sasha if I met her at an airport though - she's supposedly not the fan-friendliest. (Then again, I don't make it a habit of bothering people in airports.) Ronda: People don't seem to realize she's beautiful because she's such a badass and they're all afraid of her. Finn Balor: I'm not gay, but damn, this is a handsome man! (Honorable mentions to Johnny Gargano and Karl Anderson.)

WWE Elimination Chamber 2019
Very valid point. And to be fair, I have always seen untapped star potential in the Colons. I'm not sure why it never worked out for them in the WWE. To me, it should be simple - make them two stylish, suave, sophisticated guys. That's how they came across at the HOF when they were inducting Carlos, and it was the best presentation of them ever in the WWE. The travel agent gimmick they were saddled with - or whatever the fuck that was with the Shining Stars - did them no favors.

I like the Colons more than most, but really?! AEW should absolutely avoid DOA acts like that unless they know for sure that they can bring out some untapped potential and make them stars. Not everyone can be Juice Robinson.

The big story is, which one headlines, and will Bret and/or HBK's egos be able to handle it?

WWE Network... It's Here
Not really. It was basically a watered down televised dirt sheet (or the Mean Gene WCW Hotline come to life, except not nearly as entertaining as that sounds) with a WWE spin. The most infamous episode is the one about Lex Luger "murdering" Elizabeth - complete with the 911 call.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2019
That's a fair point. But as the years go on, his value diminishes bit by bit. He's getting older, more broken down, had a DUI as recently as a couple of years ago, etc. One or two nostalgia draws is a good idea, but I really don't want AEW to become TNA or even modern WWE and go to that well too often. Jericho and maybe one other would be perfect as far as old-timers go. Everyone else should be a mix of hot indy acts (Elite, ROH, etc.), international draws (NJPW), strategic ex-WWE signings (Pac and perhaps Ambrose, yes; Alberto, no) and new homegrown stars. To be fair, it seems like that's exactly what AEW is doing.

Really fun PPV. Maybe it's because I missed the pre-show, but this felt like it went by quickly. Wasn't a slog like so many others.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2019
What a heel Bryan is. I was actually rooting against him (and I love him) and rooting for Kofi (who I do like).
-
WWE Elimination Chamber 2019
Wacky prediction: Big E turns on Kofi and goes Green.
-
WWE Elimination Chamber 2019
That was WCW levels of bad.
-
WWE Elimination Chamber 2019
I'd laugh if that happened. Bryan-Lacey actually wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.
-
WWE Elimination Chamber 2019
Someone new joins Bryan's Green Army to cost Kofi the match, right?

WWE Elimination Chamber 2019
Kenny said he only met the guy once, and he apologized for the whole thing after it came to light. Whether new information came out after this was posted, I don't know... http://www.prowrestlingsheet.com/omega-chasyn-rance-njpw/ Not trying to be a Kenny apologist, but it does seem like he was blindsided by this. I don't know enough about the situation to say otherwise.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2019
Now saw this... Wasn't this an instance of Kenny not doing his homework and getting caught off-guard?

WWE Elimination Chamber 2019
Guys, Lacey Evans was obviously supposed to help McIntyre and Lashley with the Braun beatdown, but she missed her cue.
-
WWE Elimination Chamber 2019
So, who did Braun piss off, and why are McIntyre and Lashley suddenly Corbin's henchmen?

WWE Elimination Chamber 2019
And it wouldn't shock me if Corbin wins.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2019
Semantics though. And Jey got a DUI last year. These guys act like infantile frat boys. If I were Tony Khan's financial adviser, well, he'd be in trouble, but ignoring that fact, I'd tell him not to waste a dime on these two drunkards. Naomi, I don't know if the idiot was drunk, or just lost and confused. I lean toward the latter because she wasn't arrested. One is a crime, the other is just excusable stupidity.

Anyway, that Becky segment was amazing. I can't remember the last time WWE was truly all-in on someone's push the way they are with her.

WWE Elimination Chamber 2019
The Usos are unreliable DUIdiots. AEW would absolutely be better off without them. Make new stars from within, which in all fairness is what they seem to be doing. If Jericho and Tony Khan are to be believed, AEW won't be rushing to get every midcard castoff that becomes available. Usos aren't worth the headache.
-
WWE Elimination Chamber 2019
They're WWE midcarders for life because tag teams are midcard in WWE. AEW is better off avoiding most of those types and building from within IMO. There are always exceptions, of course. I think we all want to see The Revival vs. The Bucks, but Dash and Dawson (or whatever they would be called in AEW) could be positioned as an underrated team who was "hard done" in WWE (even though they're the WWE Tag Champs now and have generally been pushed well when not injured, but the perception is otherwise for whatever reason).

WWE Elimination Chamber 2019
Usos should have been squashed, sent home, and paid the bare minimum. I have no sympathy for idiots who get DUIs and endanger the lives of innocent people. Ditto for Jeff Hardy. This fear about any of them going to AEW is overstated IMO. Jeff Hardy barely drew a dime for TNA, certainly wouldn't for AEW ten years and ten injuries later, and the Usos definitely wouldn't move the needle for AEW. Young Bucks vs. Usos isn't a legitimate main event, no matter how much more important tag team wrestling will be in AEW (and it should be).
