    More on HoHo's release: http://www.wwe.com/shows/wwenxt/article/hoho-lun-interview-departing-wwe

Oh, you guys... BTW, it looks like HoHo Lun personally requested the release because of a family situation. That makes perfect sense to me, because if you're WWE, you don't let go of a major league talent like HoHo Lun - not in this lifetime or any other. http://wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2017/0804/629805/why-wwe-released-nxt-wrestler/ Seriously though, I did like HoHo and thought his backstory was pretty cool (he essentially introduced professional wrestling to his country, which is fucking awesome if you ask me). I even downloaded him in Fire Pro Wrestling World. He and Akira Tozawa had quite a classic match with The "Don't Call Us Bullet" Club. Bryan and Finn weren't in the match - they were just at ringside to support their respective teams. I've since swapped out that Tozawa for one that looks better.

I didn't listen to the podcast - I only read excerpts - but Bully Ray passively believing their bullshit really smacks of ridiculous enabling behavior to me, not to mention exploitative by having them on in the first place. Bully Ray is not exactly the most well-reasoned guy around though - he goes on tirades against "marks" on Twitter and then lashes out and whines when he gets his own bullshit shoved back in his face. He strikes me as a typical "can dish it out but can't take it" jackass. Makes sense, then, that he'd be simpatico with Alberto.

Uh...what possible dream match would have involved HoHo Lun? HoHo vs. Xanta Claus? The Godfather vs. HoHo? Both excellent suggestions, my friend! I'll add to it: - HoHo vs. Mojo - HoHo vs. Enzo - HoHo vs. Show Man, someone really should start a thread like that Triple H one about dream matches for HoHo Lun - I could see it going 40 pages, easily.
  5. C.S. replied to FMKK's topic in WWE
Speaking of dream matches (we'll now never get), HoHo Lun - of CWC fame - has been released from NXT. His last appearance was a loss to Velveteen Dream.
  6. According to Karen Jarrett, they were "playing their characters." I'm not sure who does that in a bar, or why, but there you go. Sounds like made-up BS to me, but who knows. http://www.wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2017/0802/629741/karen-jarrett-talks-her-bar-incident-with-braun-strowman/
  7. Another solid Bring It To The Table. (Am I the only one here watching that?) The stuff about Enzo being thrown off the bus and having heat was confirmed. JBL admitted that everyone who was in past situations like that - with the exception of The Miz - "never made it." What a shame if one of their most charismatic personalities and talkers ends up future endeavored in a year. Cass is never going to be a top guy, no matter what, so splitting them up was such a big mistake.
  8. This explains why he supposedly fell out of favor before: http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1018476-wwe-drew-mcintyre-is-too-talented-to-be-punished-for-his-choice-in-ex-wife Long story short: there was a domestic incident with his wife at the time (Taryn Terrell, AKA Tiffany) where she was the aggressor, which is apparently a big no-no in the machismo-oozing world of the WWE.

Mike and Maria Kanellis were DOA the second they debuted at Money in the Bank - they flatlined instantly - and with Mike losing his first PPV match, WWE obviously realizes it too.
  10. I hope they both go. Lesnar matches are lazy suplex wankfests, and Heyman promos are lazy Lesnar wankfests. I can't think of two staler people on the roster. Goodbye and good riddance, if you ask!
  11. Jetlag, can you link us to your CAWs? Steam Workshop doesn't seem to let me search by creator.
  12. Isn't the entire Randy Savage documentary on the Network though? I'm pretty sure I've seen it, and I don't have the DVD and never watch those First Look features.
  13. I didn't mind Holy Foley, even though it was obviously faker and more scripted than most reality shows, which is really saying something. But yeah, I'd be pissed if that came back after Legends With JBL, Stone Cold Podcast, etc. were cancelled. It's not coming back though. Mick already said it was an expensive show to make, and even though he felt they used their budget well, he didn't see a second season happening. At least WWE also got rid of that planned R-Truth gameshow. Hopefully they realize crap like that is not what anyone wants out of the WWE Network.
  14. Yep, people forget how over and entertaining the Beefcake character was in the WWF. His horrid WCW run and million different bad gimmicks have overshadowed that for some reason.
  15. Don't sleep on the Table for 3 with the Nation (Ron Simmons, Mark Henry, and Godfather). It's great fun with some good anecdotes and one nice callback to a previous angle.
  16. C.S. replied to The Thread Killer's topic in WWE
I want to say it was in a Torch Talk interview (Rock did one of those, right?) but I can't be certain since I'm no longer a subscriber.

C'mon now, Enzo was a thousand times more creative and varied than Road Dogg on the mic. Even The Rock publicly called out Road Dogg in the past about his lack of creativity. Apparently, there were some jealousy issues there (on Road Dogg's end, obviously) and heat between both of them - probably a residual effect of the uneasy relationship Rock and H had in their primes.
  18. Give this man his own psychic hotline, because he absolutely nailed it - almost two years before it actually came to pass!
  19. I was hoping for cross-trading between PS4 and Steam, but that would probably be a pipe dream. If PS4 allows NO trading, that would be a disastrous decision.
  20. Is anyone here familiar with the Fire Pro Wrestling video game series? If you're burned out on the WWE 2K games, these are an awesome antidote. You won't get the most realistic or "next-gen" graphics, but what you do get is incredible sim-like gameplay and the best editing suite of any wrestling game series in history. Fire Pro Wrestling World just came out on Steam in Early Access and it's coming soon to PS4. It's the first new Fire Pro Wrestling game in TWELVE years - since Fire Pro Wrestling Returns on PS2 (re-released digitally on PS3 as a "PS2 Classic" a few years back). I remember talking about FPW Returns at the time on another board with none other than The Blue Meanie. Needless to say, I thought that was the coolest thing in the world. In the first 24 hours alone, over 800 CAWs have been uploaded on Steam for Fire Pro Wrestling World. So far I have Big Van Vader, Bruiser Brody, Andre the Giant, Finn Balor, and Asuka. There are still tons of wrestlers left to be added, but what an awesome start! This FPW is different in that you have to play through Mission mode to unlock all of the moves for the CAW. There is already a save file on Steam though to circumvent that. Because the game is still in Early Access, there are bugs and features that still needed to be added. But it already plays like a dream IMO. Still, I'm sure there are issues and areas to nitpick. Since there is no Early Access on PS4, I'm guessing that version will be "complete" right out of the gate. For now, though, it's only on Steam. If you get it on Steam now while it's still in Early Access, it's only $20. The price will eventually be higher when it's out of EA. No word on the PS4 pricing yet, but I assume it will be higher than $20 too. http://store.steampowered.com/app/564230/Fire_Pro_Wrestling_World/

WINC: Matt Morgan comments on Austin Aries' release
  22. C.S. replied to C.S.'s topic in WWE
That's odd if he said Aries didn't ask for his release, because he tweeted the exact opposite: UPDATE: We can confirm that Austin Aries asked for his release. https://twitter.com/WONF4W/status/883463477989429248
  23. What is the point of even having a match while this ambulance angle is still going on? Poor Slater and Hawkins.
  24. I thought Goldust vs. Truth was on this show? Is that going to be the cooldown match between Braun/Roman and Brock/Joe?
