RIP Balls Mahoney
I remember a really fun match between Balls Mahoney and RVD during the ECW on TNN era. Since I've never been a fan of RVD's style, I have to give Balls some of the credit for that. Another wrestling death. Another wrestler gone too soon. *Sigh*

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
Any chance that this is the sword she dies on and she'd rather see TNA go out of business than lose control? What a gross legacy that would be.

The Worst Pay-Per-View Match Ever
Don't know about "worst ever" but Brock Lesnar vs. Dean Ambrose was a disappointing bore, made even worse by the rumor that Ambrose actually pitched a lot of cool shit, only for it to be turned down - either for PG reasons or because they didn't want to overshadow Reigns. How about the entire Beware of Dog I PPV where the lights went out? That must've been brutal for the live audience, and it was certainly frustrating for the PPV audience, who got blacked out and didn't realize what the hell was was happening. Beware of Dog II at least redeemed itself with a classic Stone Cold/Savio Vega strap match and Ted DiBiase's final appearance.

WWE TV April 11th to 17th
I'd think he'd be even more baffled by Gallows' pop. The guy was a meaningless opening card act the last time he was on WWE TV.

RIP Blackjack Mulligan
Another good obit - this one from Mike Mooneyham. http://www.postandcourier.com/article/20160410/PC20/160419943/pro-wrestling-x2019-s-blackjack-mulligan-created-a-character-for-the-ages

Horror stories in women's wrestling history
So that makes it okay to run tasteless body-shaming angles? Gotcha. I can't speak to Elizabeth's character, but who's to say Randy didn't have good reasons for his "protectiveness"? BTW, it irritates me that people blame Lex Luger for her death (and he even blames himself). She was a big girl. He didn't hold a gun to her head and force those drugs into her system. It's a tragic shame and waste what happened to her, but it was her fault, not Lex's.

Horror stories in women's wrestling history
I never knew that. Wow! All I've been able to find is this: http://www.sescoops.com/ultimate-warrior-philip-seymour-hoffman/ I loved PSH, but was Warrior entirely wrong there? But I agree, he comes across as a nasty, self-righteous dickhead, and hypocritical considering his own massive steroid abuse. I've never been one to criticize Savage for doing that. He knew what "the boys" were like. "Boys will be boys," as they say. Another example of tasteless women's angles: The horrible body shaming storyline with Molly Holly - "Junk in the trunk," "granny panties," Lawler laughing at her like a schoolboy, etc. All horrible, just because Molly didn't look like a Barbie doll bimbo model and was still a virgin.

Horror stories in women's wrestling history
Not that I'm defending Warrior, but weren't those comments made 10+ years ago? Who's to say he hadn't changed since then? Many of the people who were homophobic or at least ignorant back then aren't now. There has been a lot of education about gay rights in the past decade. Even Obama wasn't pro-gay marriage when he was running for Presidency.

Post-Mania 32 Raw
LOL. For the hell of it, here's another one... Nattie (in front of pink screen): You know, maybe it's wrong of me, but I feel threatened by TJ's friendship with Cesaro. Flashbacks of TJ and Cesaro acting like two puppy dogs in love. Nattie's Mom [at the house with cats nipping at her sandals]: When I was your age, dear, I felt the same way about your dad's friendship with Uncle Bret. Nattie: I know, Mommy, but that was Uncle Bret and Daddy. This is different. This thing with TJ and Cesaro, I don't know, it's... Nattie's Mom: (Puts her arms around Nattie) You have to let TJ have his own friends and his own life. He's been through so much this year already. Nattie (in front of pink screen): I've decided that if TJ can have a best friend, so can I! Flashback footage of Nattie sharing coffee and giggling with the newest Total Divas cast member Renee Young. Nattie (in front of pink screen): I'm really nervous aboot asking Renee Young to be my new BFF. She seems so with it, so together. What if she says no?

Horror stories in women's wrestling history
I think it's a combination of Sasha, etc. not knowing the history and 90% of past wrestlers being immoral pieces of shit anyway, so they're respected for their accomplishments and everything else is overlooked. The McMahons probably respected Moolah for being "tough" and "a good businesswoman." Plus, around them, I'm sure she was respectful and laid on the "Southern Charm." Also, childhood nostalgia is a powerful thing. To use a recent example, Zack Ryder seems to idolize Razor Ramon, even though Scott Hall - by all accounts - was far from perfect.

NXT Takeover: Dallas
Technically, NXT is a different company, but yeah... Bet most people thought it was a Funk/Ambrose reference instead of a movie reference.
-
NXT Takeover: Dallas
I got the Texas Chainsaw Massacre reference right away, but it was still kinda lame IMO.

Two totally straight dudes.

Post-Mania 32 Raw
I can see the storyline now... Maryse: My husband doesn't have the biggest tool in the shed, but he satisfies me. I don't know though, should I see what else is out there? Nikki: Girl, if you're not sure about your man, you should totally, you know, explore your options. Just don't ever tell Mike [Miz] about it. [ignoring that they're filming this for the whole world.] Cue a wacky misadventure involving den mother Nattie trying to help Maryse find a male prostitute. Nattie: [in front of a pink background] If Maryse is not happy in the bedroom, she won't be happy in the ring. That could put me and the other girls in danger. I have to protect myself out there, and helping Maryse with her love life is the only way I can do that.

Post-Mania 32 Raw
Nothing wrong with vodka, but did he have to write a chapter after every shot?
-
Post-Mania 32 Raw
His "appreciation of vodka" made him come across as an immature drunken asshole in his third book, which was almost unbearable to read as a result. Sucks, because I adore his first book and didn't mind his second either.

Post-Mania 32 Raw
Bet you it's Seth Rollins. I think that would qualify as "someone nuts."

Post-Mania 32 Raw
WTF was the point of that?! Miz hardly needs yet another I-C Title reign (and I like Miz). Poor Zack.

Post-Mania 32 Raw
Sickens me how quickly Breeze has been turned into nothing.

Post-Mania 32 Raw
Sucks that Breeze is his sacrificial lamb though. What a waste.

Post-Mania 32 Raw
How the hell did Apollo Crews get a call-up when he hasn't done jack shit in NXT?!?!

Post-Mania 32 Raw
Is this Barrett's swan song? I know he didn't renew his contract, but I'm not sure when it expires.
