WWE TV 8/3-8/10
Anyone watch Table For 3 on the Network? Nothing groundbreaking, but definitely fun stuff. It's basically Piper, Mean Gene, and Mr. Wonderful telling stories and laughing for a half-hour. Orndorff's handlebar mustache is majestic. When he said at the end that they should do it again soon, that was kind of heartbreaking.

My interview w/ Rey Mysterio at WrestlingInc
Or it could just be a "time heals all wounds" sort of thing, or him not wanting to burn his bridges unnecessarily. It's over and done with him, and he's moved on with his life and is doing what he wants to do now, career-wise. Also, the Perro Aguayo situation (which wasn't mentioned in the interview, I don't think, and understandably so) probably shook him up and made him take stock of what really matters in life. Really great read, BTW.

WWE Network... It's Here
You're in the UK, right? So this might not apply to you. But for everyone else: NXT is also on Hulu Plus - yes, even the Specials (but 24 hours later, and with commercials).

Undertaker and Sting to work Summerslam
Let's try this... OH MY GOD...I LOVE YOU, JVK!!!

Undertaker and Sting to work Summerslam
What they don't realize is that everyone is comparing Roman's push to Dean's. Roman is booked on every PPV. Dean isn't. Roman wins the majority of his PPV matches. Dean doesn't. I think this is likely it. I hope they still see him as the next top guy, because I think he is that guy. It's not like Rollins has done anything to make a case for himself. I disagree wholeheartedly. Rollins went from being a plucky, high-flying, nice guy babyface with crowd-pleasing moves to a smarmy, shit-eating, cowardly heel. That kind of versatility and range, I'd say, more than makes a case for him to be a top guy for years to come. There's a reason he was the first Shield member to win the big one. True, he's probably smarter politically than the others (and someone else even said that - I wish I could remember who and where), but that would mean nothing if he didn't make the most of the opportunity he was given - and he has! P.S. I really can't stand how this board handles quotes. If I'm trying to quote Zoo Enthusiast, is there any way that can be done without also quoting Loss, just because Zoo did that in his previous post? Maybe there's a setting one of the admins can check into? I really hope so! If it's an easy fix, I'd love to see it implemented! Thanks.

WWE Network... It's Here
Credible was never a full-fledged Kliq member, but I assume that was part of the joke El-P was making. Speaking of the Kliq, did anyone watch their 20-minute reunion on the Network? I found it horrible and shut it off after a few minutes. It meandered aimlessly, the audio was atrocious, and the productions values were (purposely) bad. What a waste of fucking time. Maybe it get better, but I didn't stick around long enough to find out.

Short-lived finishing moves?
Barry Windham's Jumping DDT during his "Lone Wolf" period. Great move!

The Faces of Fear
I loved them too. Possibly the best team in WCW for the few years they were there.

Undertaker and Sting to work Summerslam
Was just about to post the Rose thing. I wouldn't find it underwhelming either, but Leo Kruger was a failure of a gimmick for a reason. I think Rose is nuts to go back to it. It didn't work in front of 50 fans in FCW, so why would it work now? I'd love Swagger too, just for the novelty of it.

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
So, how come Kenny King never got another look by WWE? Is it because he bitched about two women winning Tough Enough? Then again, you have to be pretty bad and bland for WWE to go that route, so maybe there was no interest in King because he doesn't stand out in any way?

Sheamus? Rowan comes back and they feud over who has redder hair.

Is Daniel Bryan Nearing The End Of The Road?
Just finished the "YES" book. In it, he admitted to lying to the WWE doctor about his injury history when he they wanted to hire him and he had to go through their medical testing. Nigel McGuinness was more truthful and didn't get hired. I always thought it was because of Hep C, but I must have gotten my wires crossed somewhere, because Bryan listed a physical injury of some sort being the reason Nigel didn't get a contract. There's also a pretty great story about Ezekiel Jackson disrespecting Bryan on an airplane, and Regal letting him have it.

Often forgotten periods of a wrestlers career...
Didn't he also wrestle as Curly Bill briefly? What the hell was that? A veiled reference to Bill Watts?

Undertaker and Sting to work Summerslam
Meltzer wouldn't refer to Bo that way IMO. Baron Corbin does nothing for me, but he'd be intriguing as a Wyatt Family member. The Kane/Big Show guess could very well be right on the money. Here's another ridiculous theory: The Miz. Big Show knocking him out scrambled his brains and made him susceptible to Wyatt's "charms."

Undertaker and Sting to work Summerslam
Bo wouldn't be underwhelming to me. Didn't Meltzer say the new person would make us wish for Erick Rowan? Who would fit into that dubious category?

WWE cut all ties with Hulk Hogan
In the mainstream media, sure. But rasslin' fans will forgive anything. Look at Steve Austin.

Often forgotten periods of a wrestlers career...
Has this been mentioned yet? Psychosis, Juventud Guerrera, and Super Crazy debuting without masks in the WWE as the Mexicools, complete with an entrance where they rode on lawnmowers. Who thought up this crap? Wasn't Vince Russo, who'd usually get the blame for something like that, but I think even he'd blush at something so awful and offensive.

Sasha Banks on the main roster
She's one of the worst babyfaces I've ever seen. She needs to turn heel ASAP. Didn't Bill DeMott haze her for "not being attractive"? I remember reading that.

WWE Battleground... Tonight
If the lights went off during Diamond Dallas Page vs Goldberg from Halloween Havoc 98 and Flair came out with an entourage and ran over Goldberg in a limo, I kind of wonder how that'd be received. Would Goldberg vs Hogan at the Georgia Dome be a better example? If Flair hadn't been seen in months (and I can't remember if that was the case), the fans would've popped IMO. Same for Taker. Comparing it to the Fingerpoke really isn't accurate.

WWE Battleground... Tonight
Which is terrible, because top babyfaces have done far worse. Yep. Taker/Wyatt at WM never should've happened. It lessened the impact of this return and the Mania match sucked. Maybe the poor suckers who paid $60 for the show might feel that way, but in the Network era, it's slightly more acceptable. I disagree that this was anything like the Fingerpoke anyway, but I can understand why people would be disappointed.

WWE Battleground... Tonight
Some random observations: - Roman Reigns vs. Bray Wyatt sucked. No chemistry whatsoever. Bray's heat and impact are ice cold, and his character is completely illogical. He spouts off nonsense because he's "fat and strange." There's no consistency. The hooded mystery man finish was wasted on Luke Harper. How was that special? That type of scenario should only be done when the person behind the hood is someone unexpected. Instead, it was the most obvious person. Why bother with the smoke and mirrors then? - Charlotte is so badly miscast as a babyface. Outside the ring (her facials, body language, etc.), she looked completely lost. Please turn her heel ASAP. The match itself was okay - certainly nowhere near any of the classics in NXT - but not bad. I expected Charlotte to get the win, but part of me was rooting for Sasha to get that big push. Then again, maybe her NXT Title is enough for now, and it's better to spread the wealth. Not sure. Either way, I hope Charlotte turns on her partners sooner rather than later. - Owens tapped out to Cena. It was what it was. We all knew it was coming. The match itself was good, but not as good as their others. The finisher spamming is a trend I'm so sick of. In a way, I'm glad Cena's reign will continue, because the open challenge has been among the most fun stuff of his career. I have no worries about Owens regaining his heat, because he's just that good. I hope the Cena/Owens feud is over though. Time to move on. - I knew Brock vs. Rollins was going to end with some kind of inconclusive finish when there were only 14 minutes left from bell-time. The Undertaker's return was awesome, but I had two issues with it: 1. How much more impactful would it have been if Taker had skipped Mania entirely instead of wasting his time in a bad match with Bray Wyatt that set both of them back? 2. Lesnar was a babyface for Rollins, but now he's a heel again for Undertaker? The writing is as bad, sloppy, and inconsistent as I've ever seen it. Almost none of the characters or their motivations are ever logical or consistent, which makes it that much harder to care about anyone. And if that was somehow meant to be an Undertaker heel turn, someone forgot to tell the fans. I don't think so though.

What is the future of NXT?
From http://wrestlinginc.com/wi/news/2015/0718/598427/solomon-crowe-cuts-a-promo-on-the-wwe-nxt-title/ (emphasis mine): "For what it's worth, Solomon Crowe cut an in-ring promo at last night's WWE NXT live event in Cocoa Beach about how he would die in the ring for the fans and about how he's focused on coming for the NXT Title in 2015." Is this guy an idiot or just a complete goof?

Often forgotten periods of a wrestlers career...
The Headhunters example above reminded me of this: The Blackharts (Dave "Gangrel" Heath and Tom Nash) making one appearance on WCW Saturday Night, only to never be seen again after that. I want to say this was early or mid-'90s, maybe '93-'94? Could be as late as '95. I remember thinking they were cool as hell, and I was disappointed that it was a once and done scenario. WCW always felt so weird and disorganized to me as a kid because stuff like this was entirely too commonplace. And then there's this - holy shit - from 1997: Dave Heath vs. Rey Mysterio on WCW Worldwide. According to Wikipedia, Heath also appeared on Worldwide in 1998, teaming with Michael Nova, against the Faces of Fear (Heath and Nova obviously lost). It turns out Heath was also the masked Black Phantom in the WWF from '93 to '95: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=BLACK+PHANTOM+WWF All of this was before his rise to stardom as Gangrel during the Attitude Era in '98. Other than the one Blackharts match on WCW Saturday Night, I don't remember any of it.
