  1. An obnoxious trend, I grant you, but I'm only wondering because WWE usually never lets someone who is injured wrestle anymore. The company has become super cautious about that over the past decade or so.
  2. I know it, Bubba.
  3. Damn junkie. What's his addiction? Probably caffeine too!
  4. Are we sure this Cody injury isn't a storyline so he can save face when Seth wins? This era of WWE is very cautious about having injured wrestlers work matches. At least we'll get the DDP taped ribs gimmick tonight, probably.
  5. Why don't we call a spade a spade and call this for what it is. I'm so tired of Meltzer, the dirtsheets, and even PWO hiding and denying the truth! CM Punk is clearly taking time off to go into rehab. I'm glad he's finally seeking help for his out of control addiction to caffeine.
  6. No he won't. He's gonna be chugging that CAFFEINE, brother, and we all know what a narcotic that is. It almost cost Jessie Spano everything.
  7. Y'all need to stop making fun of my main man @Dav'oh for speaking the hard truth. Back in the '80s, I once knew a girl. Her name was Jessie Spano, and she was addicted to caffeine pills. Don't you dare minimize her struggles.
  8. Was JONAH in the crowd or just some random fan I thought was him?
  9. I came into this thread expecting to see everyone gushing over that awful MJF segment. Glad to be wrong. His delivery was great. Alas, he was delivering dogshit instead of pizza.

I'd normally criticize having a mega-dork like KoR injure Sting, but it was apparently a legit injury, so... In any case, having said dorkus maximus win the match after injuring the guy's partner is ass-backward. Maybe it's building to the tag match that the cool painted guys win, or even Sting vs. KoR, which Sting will win, but why? I don't think anyone's clamoring for more of this feud.

A match with no story, no build, reason to exist is something I'll never make time for. Good wrestling is a vacuum is completely meaningless to me. Plus, you know, fucking Kyle O'Reilly won.

    Hope everything's okay!

None of this is motivating me to order DoN. I was on the fence before, and if anything, this has tipped me firmly into the "I'll save my money" category. The build hasn't been great, and while I'm sure the matches will be bangers, good wrestling in a vacuum means nothing to me.

BTW, FWIW, AEW posted this an hour ago on Facebook with a picture: #Wardlow has now met all the stipulated sanctions set by #MJF and they will finally face each other TOMORROW (May 29th) at #AEWDoN (Double Or Nothing) LIVE from Las Vegas, NV on PPV at 8pm ET/7pm CT! Available on Bleacher Report, AEWplus.com (FITE ) & PPV.com (intl)! Could be a timed post, but still.

Not to take away from the MJF talk, but... Holy crap! This is hot as hell. Easily the best looking title in AEW now and one of the best ever, period.
  16. The Roku app is useless - everything is behind a paywall, which definitely wasn't the case with the old Jarrett-Parsons Wrestling app.

With Joe apparently also no-showing, I think there's more to this than 1. real life contract dissatisfaction and/or 2. a worked-shoot related to that.
  18. C.S. replied to goodhelmet's topic in AEW
And if/when Wardlow squashes MJF (the right and only logical booking choice IMO), that will only build this story up further.
  19. If WWE cut Bryan after "career-ending" concussions, everyone would've been out for blood. I'm sure Bryan, while gutted to be forced into retirement, was still happy to be paid.
  20. Are you really expecting me to argue French with a native French speaker! You win this one!
  21. Yikes! At least he can still do the Eeeeeeeee-Li, Elllllll-A Night thing with Max Duuuuuuuuu Pri.

I agree, but I wonder if that was by design. We all know Regal is one of the best mic workers ever. He's also old-school. As a manager, he would not want to overshadow a current worker (Jericho) or his current allies (Mox and Eddie). What he said was was a cute introduction, and then he set up his boys to do the heavy lifting, which they should since they're the ones in the match.

Here's the promo for anyone who didn't see it: She's not a natural on the mic by any means, but she spit straight fire.
  24. C.S. replied to sek69's topic in AEW
What was wrong with the Deeb segment, Bubba? She's hardly a natural on the mic, but the content was good.

Maki Ito is definitely an underwhelming surprise, but it makes sense to save the big guns for matches they'd win. Joe wasn't losing here and neither will Britt.
