  1. Only WWE would give a known sex pest physical abuser a record title reign (Jordan Devlin).
  2. Cameron Grimes would have a job for life with his current gimmick. Vince loves that stuff. It's one of the few examples of an NXT guy actually getting a character that will translate to the main roster - i.e. what Vince likes.
  3. Pretty sure WALTER himself has debunked this several times already and said he was open to travel. Well, Imperium has an oddly Nazi vibe as it is, so he's already halfway there.
  4. This made me laugh for some reason. Would have a very different meaning outside of wrestling. For all of the "WWE-speak" everyone makes fun of, some of the fan-speak is pretty hilarious too if you ever stop to think about it. I hope WALTER gets the rocket, but I could just as easily see Vince thinking "His midsection is too pudgy, damn it!" and/or "He's an extraordinary athlete, but he doesn't have the 'it-factor'. Maybe it's because he's Austrian?"
  5. In some cases, doesn't WWE write the speeches? That would explain it.
  6. Except, I wasn't referring to other wrestling message boards, which you'd know if you actually read my post instead of skimming it. That would be a pretty silly argument from me, since I'm not on most of them, wouldn't it? (I do casually browse DVDVR and Wrestling Classics though, and I like both from what I've seen. The old Kayfabe Memories board was great too.) BTW, no, my post wasn't some weird attempt to uplift me, us, and PWO (even though, yeah, PWO is great) while tearing others down. Like it or not, intelligent wrestling discourse is the minority. That's a simple statement of fact. Like I said, go to any popular wrestling website, click a few articles, and read the comments section. Again, I rest my case. (That's not even mentioning social media like Twitter, if you really want to dig down in the deepest dumps.) I mean, what I'm saying is probably true of any fandom, but this is Pro Wrestling Only, so I'm not exactly going to start posting about Mandalorian fans or whatever, am I?
  7. Oh yeah, I totally forgot about the commercials. Sucks for USA Network-only viewers, but I guess they're probably not watching anyway since there's no Night 2 for them.
  8. Anyone else's sound cutting out on the Peacock feed?
  9. I wouldn't go that far. She was never that over, and still isn't. But focusing the show on the perpetually ice cold Charlotte surely wasn't the solution either. I get the idea behind it - infuse NXT some much-needed star-power and something something "fresh" - but Charlotte was never going to excite anyone. She's a tremendous wrestler, but she's not someone people have ever clamored to see.
  10. Holy fucking shit... This fucking company! Did they really end Franky Monet (Taya Valkyrie)'s vignette with "See You Next Tuesday"? Don't they realize what that's a euphemism for?
  11. My thought exactly, but that already hasn't happened.
  12. I'd love a genuine surprise for once, like Brock Lesnar coming out after the match to attack Walter. Will never happen, for all the obvious reasons, but I miss when TakeOver had such stunning developments.
  13. Imagine if Ciampa is the one chosen to end this 2-year reign.
  14. Did L.A. Knight *groan* ever used to beg off and backpedal before?
  15. Again, I don't mean PWO. (Well, maybe you, because you're butthurt for no reason.) Do me a favor: Go to any wrestling site - heck, go to your favorite one - and look at the comments section for a few articles. I rest my case!
  16. Rasslin' fans are, by and large, uneducated and embarrassing. News at 11.
  17. Well, bottom line: WWE management doesn't consider Hulk Hogan a racist, period. They consider it a "slip of the tongue" in "the heat of the moment." So, for them, there's no hypocrisy in their minds whatsoever. Firmly ensconced in the rasslin' bubble, they can convince themselves they're having a Florida sports legend (Hogan) host WM in Tampa with a pillar of the local community (Titus). Cognitive dissonance...brother.
  18. Did you enjoy the 2-20 Hall of Fame, brothers?
  19. Anyone watching the HOF? Harry looks so much like Davey Boy Smith now and sounds so much like Bret Hart.
  20. I will say that I've never seen the Aries you guys have seen - a mediocre face, a heel who doesn't come across as a threat, and a perfectly competent indie-style worker who doesn't even touch a hair on the asshole of Bryan Danielson, AJ Styles, or even most of the kids in NXT and AEW now. If there was a magically better Aries during his ROH World Title reign, I'd say that means jack shit zilch to me now, because he's no longer that guy and hasn't been for years. I'm talking about present-day Aries (well, the past 3-4 years or so). That was definitely the first time I recall hearing something really negative about Aries that didn't have anything to do with his in-ring work, character, or the usual things people nitpick about a wrestler. It was probably the beginning of a long, slow, downward spiral for him. I saw someone on Twitter speculate that concussion issues could be to blame for Austin Aries apparently losing his mind. It wouldn't surprise me.
  21. Assuming this is long gone, where else can this book be purchased? Google is failing me.
  22. A perfect post on April Fool's Day from an absolute fool and tool every month of the year. The reason he's wrestled only once in 18 months is because no major (or apparently minor) organization will touch him anymore. His drawing power is nonexistent, and anything he does in-ring is being done better by dozens of others with less baggage.
  23. I think a worldwide pandemic warrants an exception though. Calling it the 2020-2021 Hall of Fame and inducting the same people + a new headliner to replace Batista would've been fine.
