Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
As a South African I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Either way, beautiful. A couple stunners would definitely cement Mandela's candidacy as SAffer's GOAT president, though.

Footage that Exists
Rev Ray Duffy has the Santo/Quack tag match. I don't know if anyone has contact with him, though. Here is Low Ki vs Trent

Pirata Morgan
Longevity might be against Pirata here. If you focus on his highs then he should be up there with any of the other lucha brawlers. I'm not sure I'd pick him for best bleeder, but he's definitely one of if not the best bloodletter in wrestling. Watching Pirata gnaw open his opponent's head and spray their blood into the air a la HHH is a sight. Great worked punches, too. That said, the past 10 years (or more? I've not actively sought him out) have not been kind. I remember being all sorts of excited for the Wotan feud (right after that classic with Black Terry) only to be thoroughly let down.

Blue Panther
Glad people enjoyed it. I've sent out an e-mail to the owner of AWS to source the other shows. I also came across this today. Looks cool - does anyone have it? Channel has highlights of a Dandy/Satanico hair match from 1988, too. Now that's something I'd pay good money for.

Riki Choshu
I'm not sure if you know or not, but they did fight 3 times! I would have put money on having seen one of them but I can only find Misawa's last two matches in Mexico
-
Riki Choshu
I guess it comes down to preference - do you value wrestlers more who adjust their hair (Choshu) or adjust their pants (Misawa)?

The Thread Killer Talks Too Much: The Recaps
Like others said, that post was in no way looking for sympathy. I also agree that your hard drive/data is still salvageable so all is most certainly not lost. When (if) you're ready, I'm sure all of us look forward to your next recaps. It's a goddam treasure.

Austin Aries: The Adventures of an Arrogant Asshole
Oh, sure, I get that, I just jokingly commented on his stature. The guy walks around like he has severe osteoporosis.

Aight, I'm calling BS on this one.

The Thread Killer Talks Too Much: The Recaps
Yeah, this was one of my favourite little threads to get lost in. I might not post much, nor doing so in this thread, but this was a must-view every time something new dropped.

Who Are the Best Hubs?
Definitely fills in the gap Casas leaves behind - especially in the 80s - but Casas covers 3+ decades of performers in the bigger companies and about 11 years now of indy scrubs that probably should get a better look.
-
Rush
I wrote a small 'primer' back in 2016 when he caught a little fire because of the Parka brawls. Copy-pasting:

Who Are the Best Hubs?
Who do we have for lucha, Negro Casas? It has to be him due to his longevity, surely?

WWE TV 03/29 - 04/04 It sucks to be Brazilian
IIRC he signed a 3 year contract taking him well into 2022.
-
Current New Japan
He's no stranger to them as La Sombra. Besides, he's the original Ingobernable (alongside Rush). So he immediately has a programme with/against Naito.

'Taker giving the news to Kane made me question why both Kane and Khali are getting in before he is.- All Elite Wrestling
Is Rush stuck in an exclusive contract with ROH? The fact he isn't a big thing is mind-boggling to me. I'd love to see him and Sombra teaming in AEW.- Most Athletic Wrestler Ever
If we're going to look at athletic big dudes, Darksyde is a 500lb dude that does a moonsault.- #SpeakingOut: Industry-wide sexual misconduct (assault/harrassment/grooming/etc) accusations and their repercussions
Look, I want to believe this is (hopeful) personal growth, but this part got me a little perplexed. I don't know enough of the details so my perspective could be why but... uh what? If that's so, then surely he's more dropping these suits as he lost the one he apparently had "da fax" to prove his case. Proceeding (and losing/having them thrown out) with anything else would just be PR suicide for him at this point.- AEW Revolution
I'm surpsied @El-P has gone so radio-silent. He seemed to be the most excited going in. I think they probably booked themselves into a corner with both payoffs here - noting safety restrictions etc in place for the timebomb match and then the "HoFer level" hype from Show. If he had just played it off as him bringing a friend with him and one people would be pleased to see it wouldn't have been such a let down. I was actually thinking, and would still prefer, it to have been Chris Hero. As for the explosion, I'm sure it would have come across a lot better with a different camera angle. Whoever was in charge of production should get their knuckles rapped.- The aging of wrestling fans
I've got nothing inciteful to add but the topic did make me wonder how Concrete1992 and Tanner are doing and if they still don't know wrestling? - WWE Hall of Fame 2020-21
