  1. Would there be a way to manage old links and Google results? The GWE megathread links and any that you click on via Google read 404 not found. :(
  2. Ironoc as they've already been taking an L for years.
  3. Of course it's old news now, but it really got me when I realised Tye Dillinger had been with the company since late 2005. Thirteen years!

  5. AJ Styles is good but I don't think there's anywhere close to being an argument here. Bryan has him on week-in-week-out performance and the more impressive list of carry-jobs. Moreover, Bryan has far more high peaks than AJ does - not to mention AJ's best match (vs Suzuki) was good because of the performance Suzuki gave. I do think Bryan is more formulaic and he rather adapts opponents to his style than adapts his style to his opponents but Ric Flair ended up being GWE #1 and he's more egregious in that regard.
  6. Oh, the irony! Got a few for everyone to try. They're all tag teams, one American, one Japanese and one Mexican. Two are still wrestling and one is an 80s team (you can guess which from the name) 1) Botch Series 2) Long Resolved 3) Fallen Seniors
  7. Speaking of kid-oriented wrestling, whatever happened to Saturday Morning Slam?
  8. I'd take Butcher and Black Terry over LA Park in terms of grittiness and true to form brawling, but Parka is the most consistently entertaining. There's something about his dickbaggery to referees that cracks me up every time. Sangre Chicana could also fit here, no?
  9. Cabana said in an interview "not to believe what you read online"
  10. Wow, I'm ashamed to say this stumped me for over a week! My mind keeps going back to Anoa'i. But I'm sure that's nowhere close!

  14. This been around before? Santo vs Leon Chino ( Mascaras contra mascara)
  15. 1) By Adrenalin 2) Shrillest No 3) A Grace's Son
  16. William Regal (vs Cesaro) takes it for me pretty easily.
  17. Three ESL teachers! That's pretty cool. Currently teaching in South Africa - always dreamt of teaching/travelling to Mexico but finding Black Terry and/or being bottled in a seedy Monterrey lucha promotion seem passed me at 27. Alas.
  18. Regal vs Singh was held in Durban, South Africa (I believe it's Westridge Tennis Stadium)

Would be funny if Riderman Hongo turns out to be Shodate.
  20. Likewise. Old man Casas is my favourite act of his - especially how he played the vulnerability of it in his feud against Rush.
  21. It's been a long time since i watched these guys. Have they produced anything good in the past few years? Black Terry has been the most consistent. He's produced truly great matches in almost every year this decade (hitting a home run against Wotan of all people) and barely fails to disappoint when needed. Stick him against any indy scrub with a beer bottle and he produces. Meanwhile Navarro is rather hit and miss depending on his opponent or setting. He's got the goods like his matches with Virus and Sabre Jr but he has some rather meandering performances. If we're all honest regarding Navarro, we tend to ignore matches that do hurt his case (mostly his contemporary IWRG work) and focus on maestro-style pairings that would/should always play to our tastes. Lucha is generally skewed in that direction, but I feel Navarro more so than say Casas. As for Solar I don't think there's case for him at all. He's ranged from average to downright bad at points (the latter mostly when tagging with his son). Along with the Navarro/Solar touring act becoming stale a few years back, I don't think he has much to bring anymore. Much like Pirata Morgan, he should probably put his career to pasture.
  22. Definitely echo the Kyle Matthews mention. Performance to performance, nobody in wrestling is as consistent as him - though he lacks any true classics even great matches outside of his feud with Tempers. Hechicero is probably second. I doubt I could make an actual order but a top three (based on highs) would most like be Cesaro Negro Casas Virus

Things like this happen quite frequently with Cloudfare based websites. Just hitting refresh a couple times will kill the problem for a while. Annoying but it's definitely not simply limited to this board. Starting threads, on the other hand, was always a database error for the longest time until I suddenly could start threads (Santo/Casas a couple months back) so idk. Posting privileges/topic creation after a specific number of posts (100?)?
  24. Kiwi Adam O'Brien looks like a fetal experiment between Roman Reigns and Big Show
