As much as I wish they were doing Braun/Roman for Mania, I think a Shield three-way is just too easy for them to pass up. Plus it's kind of dumb for the unbeatable monster to hold an automatic title shot and not use it for 8 months.

It’s one of the only metrics they have anymore that can demonstrably show someone getting over. That new red and black Big Dog shirt might be the first one that is actually wearable. I say that as someone who has wanted to buy a Roman shirt for a long while and being pretty disappointed by how garish they all are. Same goes for all the Shield merch ever.

Yeah, it’s not a crazy path to visualize. I’m kind of on the fence about going to Mania next year and was leaning towards going to the Rumble because it’s Phoenix in January.

I’m betting they will do the champ vs champ match at Survivor Series again. So, Roman/AJ, quite possibly.

Yup, that is where I thought they were going right away when Miz said he would never face Bryan again. It’s wishful thinking but I think at least somewhat realistic and logical. I would have preferred them holding off on the start of the feud until later in the year but I get them wanting the first one on Summerslam.

That was a wild ride.

This is generally my thought, but what I’ve been hoping is that Roman/Dean turn together eventually. Roman was going to get booed vs Braun anyhow, but this still leaves them lots of options (which is the cool thing about having your top guy on TV every week). I’m pumped about wherever they are headed and that ending got me as excited as I was as a kid during something like a Sting/nWo Nitro ending where he killed everyone with a bat.

All I know for certain is that it was beautiful. I was thinking he'd turn at Summerslam but that might have been better.

Oh I definitely agree. Just that of the problems the show had, duration wasn’t a big one. I liked the Raw squashes being mixed in along with the bigger Smackdown story matches.

Of course he’s going to get booed, especially against Braun. All in all, I thought this was a good show. With all the usual hand-wringing about a 7 HOUR SHOW, it was off the air pretty much right at 10:00 CT, and basically a 5 hour show total including the three pre-show matches. The only thing I felt was too long was the opener. Didn’t love the finish of the SD tag match.

My thoughts exactly. Would not be surprised at all at a cash-in match tomorrow on Raw.
