What are you watching?
Watching the Lawler vs Rich/Idol comp for the third time, or so. Never fails to entertain me. This is the one that is on the HighSpots Network, though I have seen another one, too.

Something to Wrestle with Bruce Prichard
The Lapsed Fan guys are already currently doing what will likely be the definitive podcast series on the Screwjob but Bruce's show this week was a good compliment to it. This has become one of my very favorite shows.

Current New Japan
I'm way more interested to see how Meltzer rates the match than see that actual match itself. The wrestler he's a giant fanboy for vs. his WWE source, I don't think he goes less than *** even if the match is a complete train wreck. This match is already 4 1/2 stars and hasn't even happened yetYup, that's my estimate as well.

[2017-02-18-PWG-Only Kings Understand Each Other] The Chosen Bros (Matt Riddle & Jeff Cobb) vs The Unbreakable F'N Machines (Brian Cage & Michael Elgin)
Loved this. I can watch Cobb throw dudes around all day. I also always love watching Riddle react post-match. It's a little thing but it's something I really love about him as a wrestler. He just fucking loves it. I've also just begun to really enjoy Elgin's stuff from the past year, or so. Really good match on a really good show.

[2017-02-18-PWG-Only Kings Understand Each Other] Chuck Taylor vs Zack Sabre Jr
I finally got around to this show tonight. Goddamn I loved this match. I thought Zack did a great job of making Chuck into a credible challenger and by the end had the fans buying it. They went for that Hart/Austin WM13 type of finish, which I also liked. Not a fan of Marty but he also added to it with the post-match stuff. These are basically my two favorite dudes, so I'm looking forward to the next one.

Dave Meltzer stuff
Putting guys on live iPPV complicates who they can book, when it comes to guys that have contracted with other companies. PWG is already on HighSpots, at this point, all events through last year's BOLA. They basically get posted a year behind the current DVD releases.

Dave Meltzer stuff
I'm going to be in the Bay Area on vacation shortly but I am leaving that morning. I was so pissed when I saw that that show is happening when I won't be there. Looks awesome.

Dave Meltzer stuff
They're the top indy but it really doesn't have anything to do with Dave. They were selling out every month long before he even started paying attention to them a couple years ago. It probably helped them gain a little popularity/buzz online once he started to cover it but it likely has more to do with the fact that it's the Young Bucks' home company and they became stars on their own. I think a lot of fans also grew to like it when guys like Steen would say it was their favorite company to work for.

Premier Podcast Brand #4 (2017 WON HOF Modern Candidates & More)
Yup, I would say the best. Always love really informed HOF talk.

Just watched the Stallion/Janela match from SUP Maximum Over...dive. Fucking awesome. Really enjoyed the whole show. Watched the CWF Rumble a few nights ago and I'll echo everyone else who said it was great.

Time for Darren Young to take Reseda by storm.

There was one about the indies, too. Think it was called "The Indie Talkers."

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
I was at the Chicago ROH show a couple weeks ago and felt the same way, but Kenny Omega is over like he is the fucking Rock. It's hard to blame them for riding the wave when 3/4 of the crowd has their phone out when a guy is doing his entrance.

[1982-05-14-Houston Wrestling] Wahoo McDaniel vs Tully Blanchard (Indian Strap)
Just watched this on YouTube. Great, great stuff. Quick and brutal. Love these guys together.

Exile on Badstreet #44 (Carolina On Our Minds - JCP January-June 1986) (Featuring Jeff G. Bailey)
Haven't gotten to this yet but the HOF show with Dylan was great.

Has anyone tried Breaking Kayfabe with Jeff Bowdren yet?
Well, when looking at this one and checking the "related" ones, I discovered Ricky Morton also has a podcast now and that is EXTREMELY my thing.

Modern Indie Wrestling
That was a very helpful post for someone like myself who has kind of been on an indie binge lately.

Awesome. Looks like some of that stuff is on HighSpots.

I saw the future a couple weeks ago at AAW and his name is Curt Stallion. Where is his best work that is readily available?

Dave Meltzer stuff
What's weird is I remember many of us on THE BOARD wondering a couple years ago why he paid zero attention to PWG. Then he went to one show and he was suddenly a big booster.

Between the Sheets #118 (October 18-24, 1988) (Featuring Mike Sempervive)
Excellent. Gotta love Semp.

WWE TLC 2017
Lights out, video, special effects, etc. magical distraction screwjob by Sister Abigail to screw Balor. "How can we make sure this match sucks like the original match would have?" "Got it!"
