Ring of Honor Wrestling
As someone who has never seen any RoH at all...what are the stand out shows from the company over the years?

Matches you must love. But don't.
Owen v Bret at Summerslam falls into this category for me. Never connected with that match and could not understand the praise it got at the time. Kobashi v Joe always seemed a bit like emperors new clothes to me.

Holy Grails
What match in 1997? The only match I recall that took place in Croydon was the Great Sasuke, Hanzo Nakajima & Tiger Mask IV vs. SATO, Shiryu & Terry Boy match from Fairfields Halls on 2.6.96 which was taped and put on a commercial release called Michinoku Pro Great Britain Story Commercial Tape. It featured clips from the show at Croydon as well as Portsmouth. I remember the pictures in Powerslam at the time, and wished I could of gone. Was a great show. Lot of fun.

Oliver John and Jeff Cobb
I agree, its amazing he does not do his back in trying that move. It looks OK, but it pointless. A move that would most likely pull me out of a match simply on the basis that it would sure hurt him more than his opponent.

Wrestling Across America #1: Philadelphia with the Blue Meanie
If you choose not to decide you still have made a choice. Hands down the best Big Rock show I have ever seen was Rush last year. Absolutely agree - amazing band - amazing show.

Good not great wrestlers
And that is what makes this forum so wonderful.

Wrestling Across America #1: Philadelphia with the Blue Meanie
Im with Allan on this one - a brilliant idea for a podcast. Cant wait to give this a listen.

Free TV Match of the Week Week 2
Despite some of the worst selling of all time from Sigmon - that match with Walker was really nice.

The worst match of all time
11th March 1993 - Wembley Arena - London Rick Rude v Davey Boy Smith - this will haunt my dreams until the end of time. Two guys who clearly could not be bothered and subsequently decided to sit in rest holds virtually the whole match. So bad it almost stopped time itself.

Preferred worker in tag teams
Always like Paul Roma much more than either Hercules or Jim Powers.

Wrestling New Years Resolutions <<2014 thread - No more resolutions here>>
For me, its to seek out and then absorb as much NWA 80's TV as is humanly possible.

HELP: Ted DiBiase interview tomorrow!
This was my first thought. Like leaving a picnic basket out for Yogi Bear.

[1991-03-21-NJPW-Starrcade in Tokyo] Rick & Scott Steiner vs Hiroshi Hase & Kensuke Sasaki
At the time I clearly remember it having a huge reputation, probably for a number of varying reasons beyond what happened in the ring. It certainly played a large part in my seeking out more Japanese wrestling - so the 'gateway drug' analogy is apt. I still enjoy the match - I have seen an awful lot of matches which are better since - but its still a lot of fun.
- [1991-02-16-WWF-Superstars] Tag Team Battle Royal
- [1991-02-02-USWA-Memphis TV] Jerry Lawler, Jeff Jarrett, Jackie Fargo and the Fabulous Ones

C.M Punk
Punk is somewhat responsible for me getting back into wrestling after so long out. I occasionally came across some of his interviews and they interested me in as much as they were no the bland nonsense I had been hearing from others whenever I tried getting into the current product. He certainly seem to be more of a character wrestler than in ring worker, but then that's not necessarily a bad thing. I guess maybe how you see Punk comes down to what you want most out of wrestling - to me character and story will always be #1 and he seems to be one of the better current guys about in terms of telling a story.

Mark Rocco
Rocco was a staple of my Saturday afternoon viewing as a child. I hated him with every fibre of my being!

Wrestling With The Past #7
Cant wait to listen to this. I'm not the biggest Michaels fan - always a worker who seemed to lack 'substance' to me. He's certainly been in enough interesting matches mind.

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
Up until recently, I had never seen any TNA, so I decided to watch an episode of Impact. I lasted about 5 minutes at most. There wasnt anything overly horrible in those 5 minutes, just a sense of impending doom. Maybe I will try again.....

The Man They Call Vader
Seeing Vader up close is terrifying. I was the the WCW show at Wembley where Vader dropped the belt to Sting. I was ringside and he nearly fell on me. I nearly shat myself. He had this air of legitimacy about him that was quite something else and something most American wrestlers no longer have.

The Jim Cornette Experience
I'll take any Cornette I can get. If the man wants to talk politics then so be it....would rather it were wrestling stories, but I just find the man interesting.

Hell In a Cell
Finally saw the tag title match - how much fun was that?!
