There was a time when I would have thought that a 4 plus hour card was heaven. Now I realize why it was always 3 hours max. Its just too long and it's not close to over.

I didn't hear a big pop for the win. Strange booking beating Becky clean here.

I also dont think Asuka has connected. She's almost killing Becky's momentum.

I was at this card but only had a strong memory of Flair/Dusty and Hansen winning the title. I always thought the results were strange listing Jake Roberts v Paul Ellering. It was Buddy Roberts not Jake, which makes infinitely more sense. Re-watching I also remember the crowd turning on Carlos Colon in favor of the Barbarian-even with Paul Jones being there. It's amazing how much you can forget in 35 years.
  5. I was in a panic that Shane was going to beat all three of them. What's the deal with jobbing out Ziggler?
  6. I think I still gave the original Captain Lou VHS somewhere. I'm loooking forward to re watching these. I think that might be the only place to see Bruno Zybsko in tne cage.
  7. I was at the Meadowlands card. It was empty we were able to move way down in the crowd. The Warrior and Strike Force v Demolition and Fuji match really exposed the business for me as they had the identical match on Primetime from a different arena.

I met him at a Legends of the Ring event and he couldnt have been nicer. My son was about 9 at the time and in his soccer uniform and Vader took the time to talk to talk to him for a while about his game. With his rep and the disinterest alot of the other guys took, I was pleasantly surprised and will remember that interaction.
  9. The brainbuster and I dont know the name of the move but I know Koloff and Murdoch used it where they had their opponent in the corner, climbed up and put their knee on the guy's neck and drove it into the mat.
  10. Bruno Santana v Adonis Savage in a cage was a MSG match. Its on the Steel Cage Coliseum video.
  11. Joan Baez covered it too. Maybe he was partial to her.
  12. The weird Dusty promo about Baby Doll was him quoting the Bob Dylan song Lily Rosemary and the Jack of Hearts. Kinda of a strange reference.

They found a way to kill Stroman being over. Crowd's dead.
  14. Wrestlemania repeat of signature and finishing moves that neither one is phased by and then the variation of the Snuka Muraco cage match finish. They should have a match in which the following are banned: Superman punch, spear, German suplex and F-5. They have rendered them meaningless.

I'm not a fan of the modern day Harper Rowan George the Animal Steele distraction angle. I guess they have to give them an Achilles heel but that's lazy booking.
  16. Shocked and saddened. Considering all the trauma he went through as a child, he seemed indestructible. I agree it's fortunate there was a reconciliation with the WWE before his passing so that he took his rightful place in the HOF and was featured prominently on the Network.

Any chance Stroman's partner is Bray Wyatt repackaged?

Is the Indian market that vital to the international business?
  19. I grew up in WWWF territory but I don't remember watching it pre 1982 so I'm enjoying watching it. I'm surprisedcat Blassie bumping as much as he did in the early shows and how much he and Albano interfered in the matches without a DQ. Albano, as crazy as he might have been, was clearly the heat magnet Hart and Heenan were in their territories.
  20. I don't think I'll even watch this year. I guess Goldberg is the anchor inductee? Im not a supporter but I get why they're inducting him. I guess they're running out of big inductees. The Rock and Undertaker are really the only two they have left in the bank until Cena retires. The Dudleys deserve it but I can think of a couple that should/could go in before them. Double JJ was midcard unless you count dying WCW and TNA. Hillbilly Jim is a nice guy but HOF is a stretch. Ivory seems like a token inductee.
  21. I just read that Enzo in an interview with Corey Graves said amoung other things, he was the modern day Ric Flair. I dont think he was working. Anyone think he's going to make it to the end of the year before he's cut?
  22. The big reveal is that toddler Kris and Bix were watching wrestling when other 2 tear olds were watching Barney,
  23. Sgt. Slaughter. He had great matches against Backlund in the early 80's and the Patterson alley fight was groundbreaking in the WWF. His Mid Atlantic work which leads to the Final Conflict, the inspiration for Starcade and a great match that holds up today. He returns to the WWF and is arguably equally responsible for the WWF surge in popularity and pop culture recognition. The Boot Camp match is still considered one of the best WWF matches of the 80s. I'll concede that his AWA work was spotty, but he had sub par opponents, bad booking and he had the GI Joe work. His return to the WWF showed he had one last run in him and had some good to almost great matches with Hogan.
  24. During your discussion on Piper with pinfall loses, I know Flair pinned him a number of times, including an MSG match that was televised on MSG network but Flair had his feet on the ropes.
  25. 2 words 11 letters Dean Ambrose. I still can't believe with that goofy offense and buggy whip arms , (thank you Jim Cornette) he was a main eventer. He's not the least bit convincing as the badass lunatic either. I'll second or third Alberto Del Rio. A Royal Rumble winner and multi time champion who I've never heard anybody say they liked. When I was a kid I couldnt stand Putski or Tony Atlas. Maybe I jyst hated the muscle heads.
