One of the better lariats you'll ever see Stateside. Luger was really good in 1990. Too bad the company killed his interest in the work by shitting all over him.
Two teams that need a heavyweight slugfest top really shine in a heavyweight slugfest with some structure. Nothing to complain about here, lots of hurty looking violence and bombs. This is the kind of match WCW shhould have had mroe often, seems to go right with their marketing strategy.
The tobacco really does undercut Hansen. But he's effective as a crazy bastard anyway, mainly because that's who he is as a wrestler. Even so, WCW could have done so much better with him. Funny how that often ends up being the case.
Flair and Arn impressed with their teamwork. They are both good enough that you believe they've been working together for years. I know they have been Horsemen for years, but not exactly a tag team that often.
Martel is definitely not to the level of Jake in this feud, but he's definitely one of the top 4 or 5 angle guys the WWF has right now. Once he's in the ring it's not as good, but you can tell he's enjoying the character of the Model.
Possibly the best lucha finish ever. Dandy gets his revenge on Satanico for October in the most satisfying way imaginable. And I loved Satanico's initial reaction, but not as much as the "you got me" he gives to Dandy later on. Amazing match and probably my MOTY.
I would like to add something to the discussion, but it's a struggle given how well this match has been covered. Satanico and Dandy are both so damn versatile and seemingly the most fluid wrestlers to ever live. All while making their shit look brutal. Amazing stuff.
Loved this match! Takada seems motivated throughout, which is truly his major weakness in most matches. Might have been Fujiwara keeping him off-balance that kept Taada so involved this time around.
Dave really hasn't had the kind of material to react to that the King gave him. Nice to see that they are giving Dave a little love with things like this.
