  1. What it means is that for right now (and very likely for a long time), the Nightmares are in Southeastern. Steamboat is once again on my roster. Beyond that i don't know how this whole thing shakes out.
  2. I tune in for every one of these because I think you guys do great work on them. I was watching at the time and vividly remember some of the WCW stuff.

I'm going to ask again. Is there any other options that need to be added to the poll questions? I have 20 per, so if there's a concern that's not being addressed let me know and I'll do my best to get it in there.

Let me work on defining that poll question better. I edited the question to include three options instead of two. There is a good chance you will have to revote due to positioning.

There were rules, but it's becoming obvious they don't work and a lot of them are unpopular with at least half of the promotions. I hoped maybe a vote would push the issue to the point where we decided something as a group. There has never really been anyone in charge. KrisZ always had the wrestler debuts/retirements, etc. covered. Otherwise things were decided by committee. Only thing is, cooperation seems to be extremely difficult of late and nothing gets solved.

I'm trying to present options. My goal is not for any one thing to happen. My goal is a solution that we can all at least openly see was come to by a vote. If the option to use dummy promotions alongside dispersion drafts wins, I am not above doing another poll to determine what our setup on dummy promotions is. What I want is something solid to work from in the future, preferably something that leads to more stability than we've had. If you don't like options that have been presented, put something on the table that you think would work. Nothing said so far is in any way final or the only way we can do things. Yes, there are 15 of us and it makes things difficult. It's just something we have to work through and figure out. Pretending like it will work fine going forward if we leave it alone seems like a dead end at this point. So can we try to figure out a way to make it work?

There was also the option of using WWC and All Star, while they are dormant, as the "dummy promotions". No saying that we can't continue on that course until other options are needed. No need to kick anyone out and the workers are there to trade for if the need arises. We can still run dummy promotions on those two and put the IWF and (if he's out) Stampede rosters up for grabs if that ends up being the preference.
  9. Wow you guys covered a ton of ground! One thing about the Misawa/Williams match is how Misawa's elbows become less and less effective as he's getting close to losing. He may be the man, but Williams has worn him down to the point that his big weapon is failing him. The hourlong Kawada/Kobashi match is soemthing I am mixed on. Some really great stuff, including an incredible fight over a figure four, but not my cup of tea. The hourlong tag was not as good and also has the weakness of coming right on the heels of another hour draw. Taue's shovedown is one of my favorite spots he does. He doesn't have the strikes that the other guys do, so he uses his size and strength to equalize things. I also love how most of Taue's offense builds towards the chokeslam and the powerbomb. Hell, I love Taue more than most because of all of that and the fact that he doesn't do anything pretty. In the company he kept, he was the guy who had to work the hardest to stay with the others. His wrestling style somehow reflected that. Oh and those were their actual nicknames. Steven talked about Sasuke and Dos Caras. Sasuke got a cracked skull off of that bump. Why he kept wrestling the match after that I'll never know, but I love that crazy fuck. As for Misawa vs. Taue, that is one of my favorite matches of 1995. I love Taue's continued attack on Misawa's injury, ending with the final desperation face rake that almost gets him there. Oh, and I wish I could hate Parv for being the low man on Kawada, but to each his own.
  10. Which is what this thread was made to figure out. If most of us are okay with him working for both then he can work for both.
  11. I understand your point. If a promotion pops up in New York it will be a new promotion. Same for Georgia. I am all in favor of people starting up in Arizona or California. There is a reason there is a poll in the other thread. We can get an idea of what the majority of people in the project want.
  12. I think what's happened has happened. No need to retcon things that _have_ happened. Maybe have the Dynasty keep those titles for their run as champions and then "lose" them off screen on the way down?
  13. Why not have there be controversy over the titles?
  14. dawho5 replied to dawho5's topic in The Archives
We have several ideas presented so far on the dummy promotions. 1. Full roster promotion just sitting there waiting. 2. Champions staying inactive with a free agent list. 3. Full free agent list that any incoming promotion can pick from. I added the idea of an option for people to trade with the free agency pool with a heavy majority of the other writers needed to sign off on the trade. What are the general thoughts on this?
  15. I don't anticipate quick. We are going to need a heavy majority of the active promotions to weigh in on the polls as well as put in their thoughts on the other issues. That's going to take a few days to sort out. Edit: This is a big part of the reason why I don't care for the constant need for these things. People make plans that have to be changed multiple times. It's not something that we should expect people to deal with on a regular basis.

If it did end up at 32 and 2, LowBlow would have to drop 2 and 1. I imagine they'd be jobbers and the Grand Wizard. Not huge losses either way when you look at it. Since nobody is lining up to take up these promotions there is no saying it would have to happen right now anyway.
  17. I don't disagree with any of this. As much as I would love to have Jake for at least one run it makes a lot of sense.
  18. dawho5 replied to dawho5's topic in The Archives
I agree with that, as do you and Stan. There are more people in this project than us three. The point of this is for people involved to have their voices heard.
  19. dawho5 replied to dawho5's topic in The Archives
Went with your 40-45. If enough people vote for it, that's what we go with.
  20. So there has been a question raised and I don't want it to distract from CWF's thread. Solie now appears to be working for rival factions due to Boon's expansion. Several questions come up. Is Southeastern going to continue running in Georgia or is it going to go dark for a time? Where should Solie go? These are not questions I am prepared or equipped to answer, nor do I have a horse in the race. I just don't want to see the promotion thread derailed.
  21. dawho5 replied to dawho5's topic in The Archives
Okay, the option is there. Any other suggestions on how to structure the poll? Add more definition on the inactivity question with more options? FYI you'll have to delete your vote and revote to answer the third question.
  22. dawho5 replied to dawho5's topic in The Archives
I'm all for a 32 or 34 cap on roster size with two managers. This seems beneficial to the project as a whole. Will try to add that to the original poll. I think the idea of a redraft is going to fall flat with anyone who went through the original draft. Or has a roster they like for their area.
  23. dawho5 replied to dawho5's topic in The Archives
Not big on the redraft idea. That draft took forever and a day. And truth be told, most of my undercard guys don't hold value for anybody besides me, so it's not like I couldn't protect a shit ton of big names.
  24. dawho5 replied to dawho5's topic in The Archives
Like I said, I think it would be best to have those rosters there. But if you could propose a trade with that roster that enough people agreed with I think it ought to be fine.
  25. It's because Boon took over Georgia and Solie was there.
