  1. Taylor & Guerrero one step closer to a breakup & feud situation. Great Russians stuff and a big double main that delivers big! Flair vs. Race is gonna be huge with this build.
  2. Sep 26th, Paul Sauvé Arena, Montreal, QC (4,000, sellout) The Kay Brothers defeated Etienne Bergeron & Frederic Tremblay with a Bobby Kay O’Connor roll on Tremblay Goldie Rogers defeated Alex Gerrard with a neckbreaker Tony Parisi defeated Dave Kochen with a flying senton Quebec Heavyweight Champion Richard Charland & Dan Johnson defeated Louis Laurence & Tony Ricco with a spike piledriver after Charland snuck in a low blow on Laurence Gino Brito defeated Hurricane Kamiguchi with a figure four The Can Am Express & Rene Goulet defeated the Tongan Terrors & Stonehead Ishimoto with a Lafon schoolboy on Tonga John before all three faces escaped the ring Gilles Poisson defeated Invader 1 with a bearhug after hitting a low blow when referee Pierre Bertrand chased off both Mad Dog Lefebvre and Invader 3, who had come out to ringside. Canadian International Tag Team Champions The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers & Invader 3 defeated the Midnight Express & Mad Dog Lefebvre by disqualification when Lefebvre was caught ramming Invader 3’s head into the post on the floor, Invader 1 and Gilles Poisson were on the floor by the end of the post-match brawl that saw Lefebvre and Randy Rose bloody
  3. Yeah, it leaves Brody as a monster still, kind of like the Cena LMS match vs. Umaga. Is it ideal in terms of how you would want wrestling to be booked? Probably not, but it keeps things looking right. Still not sure if Brody would have agreed to it.
  4. On that same note, we need to elect a new VP since KrisZ left. Unless we want to cut it down to one.
  5. Interesting finish to the main. Saito as the new lackey should prove to be a lot of fun. The Fabs finally giving the Dynasty the whuppin' they deserve should be more fun. That Pardee character continues to be a thorn in Lord Parv's side. Not sure Mr. mexico and Jose are ever going to get theirs, they seems to know when to run away.
  6. Wow, long TV match there. One thing I am impressed with is how you push the boundaries for 1983. I don't much care for 30+ minute matches, but there is certainly a place for them especially if the workers can make them special.
  7. Yeah, I think it's kind of a narrow view to look at it only as "guys I can use." If you have free reign to pick up guys that other people are going to want and get what you want, that seems like a viable option as well.
  8. Yeah, I take the blame for the miscommunication there. Trying to get everything out in a hurry left it way short of a full explanation.
  9. Looking forward to seeing the new bookers in action! Florida has an interesting roster that has gone unused for too long. And Memphis is just a fun territory. Edit: Oh, I still stand by the idea of open season on WWF towns. Lots of big arenas to be had, so why wouldn't nearby promotions be gunning for them once the WWF was gone?
  10. I am absorbing the talent, not the physical territory. I'd pick up guys off the WWF roster that I could trade for what I wanted.
  11. Looking at this, why couldn't Maple Leaf run their New York shows under the WWF banner? Didn't the WWF do something very similar in Toronto? Also, hey, why couldn't people compete for the New York market if it came to that? Just everyone who runs shows would be graded on some kind of scale by anyone who read it (in the project or otherwise) and the winner would take the territory after a while. It is a highly lucrative market that more than a few promoters would be after.
  12. I know Will ran some random numbers for the drafts. Maybe some kind of deal like that to decide who gets Florida. It seems like the fair way of doing things.
  13. Love the Hernandez angle. Zbysko as Zbysko is entertaining as Hell. However you end the Dory vs. Brisco story I'm curious as to what Dory does next.
  14. THE JYD!!!!!!!! Love the Superdome show! I like how the opening matches were a little more tame to not kill the crowd early also.
  15. I'm interested to see if anybody wants the WWF.
  16. I can't see leaving Montreal as long as I am in the project. I kind of fell in love with the place.
  17. I like the adding of the title match on the go home show. Eight man would have been a blast. The squashes keep everyone rolling on their way into Greensboro, which looks like an amazing show.
  18. I most certainly do. Pass on the rest.
  19. Sep 24th, Colisée Cardin, Sorel, QC (3,037, sellout) Louis Laurence defeated Alex Gerrard with a half crab Dave Kochen defeated Tim Gerrard with an abdominal stretch The Midnight Express defeated the Kay Brothers with a suplex lift into a second rope powerslam on Rudy Kay Canadian International Tag Team Champions The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers defeated Quebec Heavywight Champion Richard Charland & Dan Johnson with a crab/flying knee drop combo, the Midnight Express attacked post-match leading to a brawl Gino Brito, Tony Parisi & Invader 1 defeated Mad Dog Lefebvre, Gilles Poisson & Stonehead Ishimoto with Parisi taking Invader 3’s place in the Catapult on Poisson Rene Goulet defeated Hurricane Kamiguchi with the scorpion claw hold, Ishimoto ran in for a two on one beatdown that ended with Goulet bloody after a loaded headbutt The Tongan Terrors & Mad Dog Lefebvre defeated Invader 3 & the Can Am Express with a savate kick/flying headbutt on Lafon
  20. As far as that LLT match goes there are certainly ways around it. masks that don't conceal the identity from the fans at all piss the fans off mightily. And for the Backlund/Steamboat/Ted thing, maybe you forego Ted and trade Backlund off for somebody more suitable to you before the deal goes down? Just arrange with whoever will give you what you deem worthwhile as the face of your promotion to make the trade and then trade the Fantastics for the Briscoes. Or better yet, send Backlund somewhere, they send Mid South a suitable guy and you get Ted. There are ways around a lot of things if you look for them.
  21. Geographically that would be you and JCP if I'm not way off. I don't think the New Yorkers would care for all the French. Low Blow came up with a workable solution to the problem. Not sure Backlund works in the south though.
  22. LOL, I couldn't even begin to do the WWF justice. I'm not demanding that this scenario happen, just testing the waters. Like I said, it's not every day you have something big drop in your lap. If I don't ask I'll regret it later.
  23. I don't want to see Parv go. I think he did an amazing job with the WWWF. The way he managed his talent was very, very interesting to watch given the results. And his shows were always entertaining as a result of his own writing as well as the workers he had. But he had a very keen business sense going into his decision making that I should probably take a lesson from. Thinking about it, if Low Blow clearly doesn't want to take over the WWWF for Parv I think maybe it should go. It would add to the fantasy booking element for it to be gone. Yes, I gain, but it's not often that you get a big windfall and throwing them away isn't exactly smart. Sometimes you have to take the opportunities that come your way and make them work for you. I think that the ideas I have already proposed that I would do with the territory are beneficial on both sides. Low Blow would get his means to build Mid South up faster. The majority of a huge roster would become available for a big draft after the five or six guys I picked off the top were gone. Just something to think about.

I thought Horiguchi was one of the better character guys in the Toryumon matches I have watched. He's always got some oddball comedy thing that you don't expect going in. Very enjoyable performer.
  25. The last two matches were really, really good. Hogan continues to be awesome in the parallel universe.
