  1. I really love the direction you're taking with this. Great work, Boon! Are we going to see the Flame threatening to shoot Bob Armstrong soon???
  2. I personally think that's a setup.
  3. If you have a PS2 from that region I would look up King of Colosseum 2. Probably the best game out there in the fire pro mold, made by the same company.
  4. Really good TV, I like the TV title setup.
  5. Next you're going to tell me the Sheik isn't Iranian and Krusher Kruschev isn't Russian..oh wait... It's almost like you an't trust wrestling nationalities or something.
  6. Briscos vs. Funks is a must-see match. As is Steamboat vs. Savage. Although Savage is probably driving Steamboat nuts right now going over all of the details. I laughed at the glacier slow match as well. As always your WWF announcer quotes are absolutely spot on.
  7. Petipas has a tough mountain to climb to get back at three Cubans, or two Cubans and Bobby Bass, whatever.

  9. Several people will be happy to know that Goldie Rogers has been written into a bigger role on three out of my next four shows leading to a match I added to my October 1st supercard.

That was some great TV! Lawler getting injured, aping the ICW angle with a jobber and a big brawl to end it.
  11. I think that's more a Vince Sr. thing that worked well enough for his son to keep. Backlund and Sammartino were around before Vince and drew a lot of money in their time.
  12. September 5th, 1983, Colisée de Saint-Jean, Saint-Sean-Sur-Richelieu, QC (2,751, sellout) The Kay Brothers defeated Etienne Bergeron & Fredric Tremblay with a Rudy Kay elbow drop on Bergeron Invader 3 defeated Alex Gerrard with a running senton Dave Kochen defeated Goldie Rogers with a schoolboy as Rogers was posing for the crowd Gilles Poisson defeated Tony Ricco with a bearhug Gino Brito & Tony Parisi defeated Armand Rougeau & Rene Goulet with a side suplex/flying senton combo, both teams shook hands post-match The Can Am Express & Invader 1 defeated the Tongan Terrors & Mad Dog Lefebvre with an Invader 1 heart punch to Lefebvre, Poisson and Invader 3 ran in post-match to touch off a 4 team brawl with Lefebvre joining late after the heart punch
  13. Great ending to the show with a lot of angles furthered.
  14. 15. I am liking the Mid South resurrection. JYD is going to get a holy shit massive pop when he finally goes over Ted.
  16. Why announce it? Just have him show up and challenge a guy who he feuds with for a few weeks. It would fit your booking style much better.
  17. Several great points so far. I have read more than a few people's reviews of matches that coincide with my own and found a good amount of really good to great wrestling as a result. You just start to get a feel for why you like wrestling and when you see other people write about similar stuff you are more likely to look into said matches, promos, etc. I think it is important to long term viewing that you look deeper into the why of it also. I know immediately if I enjoy a wrestling match or not. I get glimpses of the why as I go, but second and third viewings tell me a lot more about what catches my eye both good and bad. Through that I get a better idea of why I like pro wrestling and have a better idea of what matches to watch based on others' reviews. And for myself, when I started posting here I very much caught only surface type stuff. I think having the forum with all of the thoughtful looks at different styles of wrestling has helped a lot in my own ability to look at a wrestling match and see the details and overarching stories more than just the great execution of moves. Don't get me wrong, a well-executed suplex or even down to a really good wrestling punch or elbow drop get me excited. I just look at more stuff while that is going on than I used to.
  18. Gagne is gaining a lot of momentum as a heel. Soon he's going to be taking on Jake and Reed, which is actually very intriguing on both sides.
  19. Goldie Rogers was supposed to be a midcard guy without any kind of feud for the first bit, just running over jobbers and lower midcarders until his feud started. Fan demand may change the booking up a bit.
  20. I dig how you are using your highlights show. It's like an extra spotlight you shine on the big things either at the big show or leading into it.
  21. I continue to enjoy the way your shows work. Lots of good tag action and some hot feuds to boot.
  22. Oooh, who is next up for Eddie Gilbert? I'm also intrigued as to who Mr. Mexico is. I do want Tully and David to get their comeuppance, but I have to say I think the Fabs and Duggan are going to have a few more hurdles to get over first.
  23. Man, that main had to be something. I hope both JYD and Darsow were bleeding in that double chain match. After repeated chain shots of course.
  24. The above mentioned stuff plus a six man tag with Hogan make this a great show. Looks like Garvin will be forced to actually defend his title now.
