Interesting idea for a show. I'm not a big fan of "random" tag matches as a concept though. It's very often done poorly in most promotions.

Eddie Mekka is so screwed. That 8 man tag better make your first commercial tape. Buck Zumhofe isn't getting hurt enough. I hope those Road Warriors learn the value of allies soon. That Valentino seems a little too obsessed with talking to the ladies. Are you sure he's not posing as a ladies' man?

Yeah, Rocket, just throw up some quick results with whatever notes about specifics on each show. There's no reason to feel like you need to do a full write-up on catch-up shows. Just do a x vs. y with whatever details are necessary thing until you are caught up on dates. Unless you want to be done. If you do, then that is your choice and I won't argue. But if you do want to stay, just wrtie stuff up in whatever way you need to to keep up. This project benefits a lot from more people being involved than a small amount of promotions.

Martel vs. Saito and Choshu seems like a great series of mains. Murdoch vs. Valentine sounds like an incredible match. Not entirely sure I'd have run it 30 minutes though.

Hiroshi Tanahashi
He had a great 2004 match against Kazuyuki Fujita. I thought it was one of his better matches as it highlighted his ability to play FIP really well.

Loved the main, Kabuki and Kevin sounds like an awesome brawl. Tito as TV champ is awesome, means we get to see him weekly.

Montreal Supercard & TV Thread
I try to do either 6-man tags with 1 and a half feuds or a singles match with half of a tag feud on the midcard and above feuds to set up the 2 on 2 matches. To me, it doesn't matter what matches you put on a card with feuding teams/people across from one another, as long as it's not the money match on something like a 2,000-3,000 seat house. You may or may not have noticed that the Can Ams and the Tongans, despite feuding, have not had a 2 on 2 match yet. That and matches like Condrey/Rose vs. Jacques/Raymond are saved for the 18,000 seat Montreal Forum shows or something like that. Also, the first Can Ams vs. Tongans match is being used to lend significance to the new title they will be wrestling for in it. At some point I may work a bigger building in Ottawa on a Thursday after a TV taping or something, hit a nice 10,000 gate as a follow-up to the previous night's TV with a marquee matchup or two that gets teased on the TV. It's also the reason why my lowest title is a singles title. The guys who are getting pushes get good experience in a lot of tag matches & six mans to build to the title matches and a chance to work a semi-featured singles match now and again. Gives them the training they need for what will be expected of them on the midcard.

WWF results and recaps
What a great Boston show! I think the only match I'd not care for was the Mil vs. Harley match. Bock at the end is great. I'd put him in my top 3 heels on the continent so far.

Yeah, I can't believe Eddie Marlin is so good to the RnRs. Only way they could hold a candle to the Assassins. So what sort of shenanigans do Ladd and Sonny King have up their sleeve exactly?

1983 Project General Chatter Thread
I feel like I started this more than a little, so I just want to clarify what I was trying to say. I think that after the draft and first week a lot of folks slowed down on this whole deal. Some had other stuff they needed to put time into I'm sure, while others have simply burnt out on the fantasy booking. I feel like we should be very careful about removing territories without the person running them saying they are done. You've all read my shows and how long they get. I am written a month and a half in advance just writing on weekends. I wrote three weeks of TV last weekend while knocking out season 1 of Breaking Bad. If somebody like Rocket, Boricua or Wahoo's really wanted to catch up it wouldn't take very long at all. So I think we should have patience with anyone who hasn't been posting for a while. I also think that those of us who are here more often than others can help by reading through what other people write and letting them know what we think. It's a small thing, but knowing what works for your audience (and that your audience cares enough to reply at all) can be a big help. I've been trying to be better about that lately after having a bit of a lull myself.

No reason to make it an argument. Let's just try to talk it out without throwing anything back an forth in the process.

Yeah, I'm guessing there are several of us who are written far enough ahead that we don't need the shot in the arm. I won't have room for anyone new until at least mid-November. I understand the feeling that all those workers are just sitting there, but we can't just kick people out because we like their roster.

So do we give people a little more time to get their stuff going again? I'm not sure how we want to set the protocol on this because both of the other people who have left have done so voluntarily. The way we handle this is going to determine how it works going forward, so we better be sure it's how we want to do this every time before this is finished.

So Boricua's perfect WWC roster is going to get a boost? Sweet. I imagine that random draw is going to be closely watched given Florida's roster. I tend to agree with Grimmas on the sideways moves also. I don't know if Florida is one of those, but it would be fine for somebody from a smaller territory to move in if you ask me.

Another great show! Tully is easily one of the top heels across North America right now. Khan is gonna give a HUGE rub to whoever puts him away. I'm liking the Tiny Anderson stuff. Gilbert seems like he is in over his head, but I imagine he's gonna find a way to overcome.

Hogan ripping things up in wild brawls is an interesting twist on Hogan. Wild Bills and Road Warriors seems like a great tag team brawler feud. Could Embry become a part of Garvin's stable?

Russians with a clean win is interesting. I'm sure the last two matches were taped and will come out on your first batch of commercial releases? If not, fuck you world.

Mid South Wrestling on Tour August 1983
Way to go Rogers & Fulton! Those Germans are not done yet though. Steve-O is quite the young lion in his way. Wrestling 2 no selling the low blow is a bit odd. Was wondering when we'd get one of them in your booking though. Brody vs. the Sheik is a perfect way to use Brody. Tag championship match looks fun, but I'm no huge fan of Mascaras. Now the main event....you are going to get Ted killed, sir. I hope you don't mind having that on your conscience.

Great lead-in to the Chicago show. Really loaded card with what seem like no throwaway matches in the Amphitheatre. When Bock is in match #2 you know you've got a pretty beefed up roster. Also, Colon vs. Abby with two matches to go seems a bit off. I think the mat is going to be blood red by the time that match ends and probably not very safe to wrestle in.

Georgia Championship Wrestling Cards & Results Thread
Yeah, Georgia is right up there for me too. I'm loving the tag division and the whole Jake/Adonis/GC/Reed/Koko situation. It's a concept I had thought to use right away but will have to wait a bit to employ due to having to remake the entire structure of the roster through the shows. It's one of my favorite promotions to read with Southeast and Southwest neck and neck (and neck?).

MACW - August 1983
Man, what a great Coliseum show. I smell a certain football playing Indian chief coming in sometime soon to make Casey pay for his crimes. Darsow had a great show even if I'm not a fan. Taylor and Guerrero are showing signs of dissension in the ranks, but I would have loved to see that match. Sheik vs. David seemed like it was sort of shoehorned in, but it works for what you were doing during that part of the show. The tag championship match was great and I hope alternate universe me has the good sense to watch that some day. Damn those sneaky Russians anyway. Last two matches were a great way to send the crowd home happy. All in all, I'd say you knocked the big show out of the park.
