Lutte Internationale/International Wrestling July 1986
An Adias match with no Sunny War Cloud? Good win for Goto though. OMG has been having a rough time of it lately. Brito is always somebody I like to see. Paul E. being sat on by OMG is a great visual. Candido could learn a lot from Satanico. Martel in short matches seems like a good idea, let the guy rest. RnRs vs. Rougeaus is a really fun matchup and the match would have been great.

NWA World Wrestling Council July 1986
They are for different purposes. The TV is to get the next generation of stars (Santana/Express/TNT) and the new foreign talent I cycle in (Battens, RPMs, eventually the Fantastics) over and give guys nationally televised maintenance wins after high profile losses. Throw in a main event worth watching and the announcers to talk about the major things going on and frame the narrative. Then add in the interviews with Rickin guiding the wrestlers to the major talking points and the Sports Shop to showcase Chicky's charisma. He is easily the most charismatic guy in PR. But with a very Tully Blanchard sensibility. I am going to alter the TV a little with some snippets of house show stuff from the past week and setting up the next week. May end up cutting a squash to do it. The house shows are 80s house shows. It's where I make my money and the TV is so you go see those and watch the major (and minor) feuds unfold. Will also be running one or two towns that don't have major arenas per loop too, just wanted to hit the big ones this time. Most of it is within 15-20 miles of the major arenas anyway, so you can cover it pretty easy with the big arena shows.

NWA World Wrestling Council July 1986
Original Airdate: 7/25/86 (Originally airing in Spanish on WAPA Channel 4 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This broadcast is translated to English where applicable.) The opening montage featuring highlights of Carlos Colon, Chicky Starr, Invader 1, Invader 2, Invader 3, Abdullah the Butcher, Hercules Ayala, Bam Bam and Dutch Mantell plays. Carlos Colon doing a cartwheel and coming up fists at the ready leads to the WWC logo as the music ends. NWA and Capitol Sports Presenta Los Campeones De La Lucha Libre Con Tus Luchadores Favoritos De Fama Mundial Rickin Sanchez and Hugo Savinovich sit smiling at the commentary desk in Coliseo Municipal Pedro Rodriguez Gaya De Catano. Rickin: Welcome to another exciting week of WWC action fans. Tonight we have another in a series of great main events. Hugo: Yes! Six very big names in that one! Rickin: That is very true Hugo. Before we get to that you will see WWC Light Heavyweight Champion Owen Hart in action. Hugo: Always a treat! Rickin: If he would wrestle within the rules yes. Invader 2 will also be in singles action. The Caribbean Express will be wrestling tonight as well. Hugo: They are a very exciting young team! They have had some bad luck in big matches though... Rickin: Bad luck manufactured by Chicky Starr. Hercules Ayala will be joining me at the desk before he wrestles tonight. Hugo: I hear he has a big match to talk about! Rickin: I'd call that match big as well, yes. We'll wait and allow Hercules Ayala the opportunity to tell us about it. Ricky Santana will be joining me at the desk for a conversation. Hugo: We both know who that will be about! Rickin: I can't imagine after all the talking Owen Hart has done, he doesn't have something coming back his direction. El Profe will visit Chicky Starr in his Sports Shop, I'm sure to crow about his client's win over Gama Singh. Hugo: As much as I don't like the man, he did find a way to turn a predicament into an advantage. Rickin: This is true, even if I don't like it at all. Carlitos Colon will be out to join me at the desk before our main event. In that match Carlitos will be teaming with Jos LeDuc and Invader 1, taking on Abdullah Tamba and los Primos Starr. Hugo: Like we said, HUGE match! Rickin: We are getting close to our first match as Owen Hart emerges from the dressing rooms with the WWC Light Heavyweight Title around his waist. The crowd immediately lets Owen know what they think of him. Hugo: Owen Hart is a great wrestler! For a man his age to be that good is very rare. These fans should show him some respect! Rickin: I don't think Owen has shown anyone, including his own older brother, any amount of respect since he has come to Puerto Rico. Except maybe Chicky Starr. Hugo: He likes you! Rickin: The man plays with me as if I were a toy. If you listen to him, he respects people. If you watch what he does, you know the truth. Hugo: Yeah, there is that. And his brother Bruce.. Rickin: Exactly what I mean Hugo. Owen Hart lied to his own brother in order to have an ally against Ricky Santana. And not just once, over and over again for a month. Hugo: That always made me a little uncomfortable. Rickin: And it should. No man should abuse the trust of his family that much. Now Hart is fussing with referee Ricky Vargas about his belt. Hugo: Championship belts are important! Rickin: More important is adding prestige to the belt with your behavior while you hold it. Hart is finally in the ring and Vargas just called for the bell. Armandito Salgado vs. Owen Hart Hart controls with fast-paced technical offense. He cuts off a comeback from Salgado with a rake to the eyes and hits a side suplex after a kick to the gut. Hart climbs up top and hits the missile dropkick for the three count. Owen Hart by pinfall in 4:18 with a missile dropkick Rickin: Impressive showing by Owen Hart, less the attack to Salgado's eyes. Hugo: It's one of the fastest ways to slow a man down! Rickin: It's also against the rules and Hart had no need to do it. He was in control of the majorit of the match without cheating. When we return I'll be talking to Ricky Santana. following that interview Invader 2 will be in singles action. Don't go anywhere fans. (Commercial Break) 0:00 - 8:30 Rickin: We're back fans and I am joined by Ricky Santana. I don't even need to guess who you want to talk about. Santana: Rickin, I tried doing things the right way. I really did. I didn't want to win a title or keep it by cheating. But things didn't work out that way. And that's the way people like Owen Hart want things. They want to drag you down to their level. Rickin: It is an unfortunate fact of life, yes. Santana: Well, I finally decided to embrace it. If Owen Hart wants to throw the rulebook out the window, then so will I. I signed a contract for my rematch against Owen Hart for the WWC Light Heavyweight Championship on September 20th in Ponce. In a street fight. Anything goes, anywhere in the building. Rickin: Well, it worked for los Invaders against los Pastores. Santana: It did. If a man is going to break the rules every chance he gets against you, there is no other choice but to beat him at his own game. Rickin: And you are aware that Owen Hart has no intention of giving you any more rematches after that? Santana: I heard. It's funny that he has been calling me a coward every chance he gets. It doesn't matter. I'll only need one shot to take the belt that is rightfully mine back from Hart. Rickin: You seem very confident. Santana: I've always been a good fighter. I can mix it up with anyone. But in wrestling there is more finesse involved. And I embraced that opportunity to improve my skills. Now isn't the time for that. Now is the time for Owen Hart to learn what happens when you push me too far! Santana stalks off towards the back as the crowd cheers him on. Rickin: It seems Owen Hart has angered Ricky Santana. Hugo: It's about time!! Rickin: You like this side of Santana. Hugo: If he had been that way all along he'd still be champion!! Rickin: True enough, but the fans would not embrace him the way they do. Speaking of the fans embracing a wrestler, Invader 2 is on his way to the ring. Hugo: I've never had a problem with Invader 2. He's a very good wrestler! Rickin: Just Invader 1. And yes, Invader 2 is a very impressive wrestler and athlete. Hugo: There are a lot of great light heavyweights in the WWC besides the champions we have had recently. Super Medico 1 qualifies as a Light Heavyweight, as does TNT! Rickin: Both members of the Caribbean Express, Huracan Castillo Jr. and Miguelito Perez, are light heavyweights as well. Hugo: And of course Invader 2! He has a deadly cross chop to the throat! Rickin: Yes, it is one of those moves that can come out of anywhere. As long as Invader 2 is on his feet he can hit you with it. Hugo: That makes a move very dangerous! Rickin: Yes, the top rope moves have a lot of impact, but we often see them reversed to the detriment of the man doing the move. Hugo: Exactly! It's much harder to see the double throat chop coming! Rickin: Invader 2 is in the ring and referee Tomas Marin has called for the bell. Domingo Robles vs. Invader 2 Invader 2 uses his beautiful left hooks and babyface technical offense to control early. Robles goes to the eyes to gain control but Invader 2 hits a dropkick to stop the comeback. A few roll-ups by Invader 2 get close. Robles hits a few punches and bounces off the ropes, right into a double throat chop from Invader 2, who covers for the 3. Invader 2 by pinfall in 4:11 with a double throat chop Rickin: Invader 2 showing us how versatile the double throat chop can be. Hugo: Domingo Robles thought he had something going there! Rickin: And then it was over. Up next El Profe will be in the Sports Shop and the Caribbean Express will be in tag team action. (Commercial Break) 8:30 - 15:30 Rickin: It's time for Hugo's favorite part of the show. Hugo: Bam Bam Bigelow is here?!? Rickin: No, the other one. Hugo: Oh!! It's Sports Shop Time! The Sports Shop intro plays and we cut to Victor the Bodyguard and Abdullah Tamba on the Sports Shop set. A voice-over by Hugo Savinovich plays. Hugo: Welcome, ladies and gentlemen to the most watched wrestling program in Puerto Rico!! This is Chicky's Sports Shop and I'm pleased to announce your host, the most charismatic, best dressed man in Puerto Rico today, Chicky Starr!! Chicky walks in wearing his athletic gear and his WWC Caribbean Tag Team Title over his shoulder. He picks up a microphone and sits down with an angry look on his face. Chicky: I would just like to point out that last week that big Canadian oaf Jos LeDuc was out of control in the main event. He was attempting to injure my bodyguard Abdullah Tamba at the behest of Invader 1 and Carlitos Colon. Luckily Abdullah Tamba is a tough man and has no lasting damage. To top it off the man came after me. And I wasn't even in the match! In the end, all was well as my cousin Ronnie pinned that musclehead Hercules Ayala for the one, two, three. Chicky pauses. Chicky: Tonight, Abdullah Tamba, my cousin Ronnie and I will prove again how great we are. We will make Invader 1, Carlitos Colon and that ridiculous Canadian lumberjack look like the idiots they are in front of all their fans. Well, more like idiots than usual. And we'll be sure to give them a chance to make it a good show, because Chicky Starr always puts on a good show. Just look at my Sports Shop. Chicky nods off-screen. Chicky: My guest this week is the one and only El Profe. The man who can influence the outcome of a match from a cage suspended above the ring. El Profe comes in and shakes hands with Chicky. Both sit down. Chicky: That was an impressive strategy. You lured Gama Singh into your trap, no easy thing to do. And you used something that came to you from the fans to pull it off. Profe: The fans that were so vigorously supporting Gama Singh. Chicky: That does make it even better. Profe: It wasn't all that difficult to fool the fans, that's for sure. Chicky: Invader 1 and Carlitos Colon have had them fooled for a long time. Profe: It hardly matters. You don't need the fans on your side to make money. As long as you can out-think your opponents. Chicky: Which you seem to be doing. The WWC has made life more difficult with the 6-month ban on championship matches after injuring a man. Profe: Hardly an issue. TNT and the cobra dinamita are feared now in the WWC. As much as I hate to admit it, Ricky Santana and Dutch Mantell did us a favor by not letting TNT bring Gama Singh out of the hold. Chicky: Still, it's never wise to let people get away with sticking their nose in your business. As much as I respect Dutch Mantell I think that was a mistake. Profe: You have something there, but that's for later on. When TNT comes back we'll be making sure to let the fans and all of the wrestlers in the locker room know that TNT is still a man to be feared. Chicky: I was sold on that right away. You've got yourself a great client. TNT should be a big name in the WWC for years to come! That's all for the Sports Shop this week. Next week will be a little bit of a letdown after these two excellent shows. I'll be hosting los Super Medicos. Under the condition that if anything happens to them while they are on the Sports Shop my cousin and I forfeit our titles. The WWC made me sign that little piece of paper as if I would use the Sports Shop as a way to injure my opponents. Now back to your regularly scheduled boring show. Cut to the arena with an exasperated Rickin. Rickin: There are certain comparisons I could make that I feel are very accurate for interviews like that. Hugo: Award-winning TV shows?!? Rickin: Not exactly. The Caribbean Express is on their way to the ring and they are interacting with the fans along the way. Hugo: Castillo and Perez have gained quite a following! Rickin: Do you believe it is due to their fathers as Barrabas would say? Hugo: No. The fans really started to get behind them when they stopped bringing Miguel Perez Sr to ringside! Rickin: I recall you were skeptical about the move right away. Hugo: I was! But these boys have really grown up since then. Rickin: I think you will agree that the World Wrestling Council forces you to grow up quickly or get lost in the shuffle. Hugo: Yes! The Caribbean Express and Ricky Santana have shown how quickly that can help you improve! Rickin: Well, when it's sink or swim I can't imagine going with the former. Both members of the Caribbean Express are in the ring and ring announcer Eliud Gonzalez is finished with his introductions. Here we go. Mr. W & Z vs. The Caribbean Express The Express uses their smooth teamwork and quick tags to control the action. Z gets a short comeback but is cut off by a Castillo clothesline. Castillo tags Perez and sends Z off the ropes right into a Perez powerslam. Perez covers for the three. The Caribbean Express by pinfall in 5:24 with a powerslam (Perez) Rickin: Another win for the Caribbean Express. They have been a lot more confident since beating Jonathan Boyd and the Crusher. Hugo: That's a tough team to beat! Those kinds of wins really build confidence in young teams! Rickin: And they ought to. Barrabas may not be my favorite man to talk to, but Boyd and the Crusher are a very dangerous tag team. Up next I'll be joined by Hercules Ayala before he heads to the ring for his match. We'll be right back. (Commercial Break) 15:30 - 25:00 Rickin: I am now joined by the former WWC Caribbean Heavyweight Champion, Hercules Ayala. That was a tough loss to Bam Bam Bigelow on July 5th. Ayala: It was. I give all the credit in the world to Bam Bam Bigelow. We knew he was very big and very agile. He fought me tooth and nail to keep me away from that injured leg, and that was all the difference. Bigelow showed a lot of toughness and heart in that match. I have no shame at all about that loss. We both gave it everything we had. Rickin: So the question is, will there be a rematch? Ayala: It's already signed. No stipulations, just me taking another shot at a man I think I can beat. Rickin: So the strategy will be different than last time? Ayala: I'm not sure. I think I was close enough that it wasn't a bad way to handle him. Maybe a few small changes. Rickin: In the meantime, you did take a loss to Ron Starr after a very blatant low blow. Ayala: He did. And we have a match coming up on Sunday, one on one. How about we up the ante a little bit and make it a taped fist match? Rickin: I'm not sure it's wise to challenge Ron Starr when you've got your hands full with Bam Bam Bigelow. Ayala: Bigelow and I have a date on September 20th. And you already know, but it's time to let the fans know. Two weeks from today I'll be teaming with Invader 3 to take on former NWA Light Heavyweight Champion Chris Benoit and current WWC Caribbean Champion Bam Bam Bigelow in the main event on TV. Since I've got time to spare, how about we make it a best of 5 taped fist matches across Puerto Rico between Ron Starr and Hercules Ayala next week? Rickin: I'm sure the WWC will approach Chicky Starr about the idea. I doubt he will approve. Ayala: If I know Ron Starr at all, he'll be up for it. Thanks for your time Rickin. Ayala heads to the ring to cheers and interacts with the fans. Rickin: Well, that went an unexpected direction. Hugo: YOU brought up the Ron Starr thing! Rickin: I did. And I suppose there is no love lost between Hercules Ayala and the Starr Corporation. Hugo: No, I don't think that would be true at all. Ayala broke Al Madril's leg! Twice! Rickin: He did, and with good reason. Ayala must be frustrated that he is struggling with Bam Bam Bigelow, regardless of Bigelow's size and agility advantage. Hugo: Ayala more than held his own! He was giving away at least 100 pounds and came very close to winning! Rickin: Yes, and he seems to be confident he can win in a rematch. It's good to see some respect being shown to an opponent once in a while. Hugo: Well, I don't think you'll see that from Barrabas or El Profe. Rickin: Or Chicky Starr. Hugo: He respects Dutch Mantell and Gama Singh! Rickin: He says he does. You can't trust what comes out of Chicky Starr's mouth. I trust Hercules Ayala. Hugo: It's hard not to respect Bam Bam Bigelow! Rickin: That might help, yes. But Hercules Ayala is a man of his word. Ayala is in the ring and there is the bell. Mr. X vs. Hercules Ayala Ayala runs over Mr. X with brawling and power wrestling, giving him no offense. Ayala works on the leg for a bit, then puts on the reverse figure four for the submission. Hercules Ayala by submission in 3:48 with the reverse figure four Rickin: Ayala is a dominant wrestler when face with most opponents. Hugo: Well, he is an experienced veteran who throws heavy punches, has great technique and weighs 270 pounds! Rickin: Those are all attributes that make a man dominant in the ring, yes. Up next I'll have a conversation with Carlitos Colon. Hugo: And then the main event!! Rickin: Yes, Colon will team with Jos LeDuc and Invader 1 to take on Abdullah Tamba and WWC Caribbean Tag Team Champions Los Primos Starr. Hugo: What a big match!! You really don't want to go anywhere!! Rickin: We'll be right back. (Commercial Break) 25:00 - 31:30 Rickin: Fans, I am talking to Carlitos Colon for the first time since that horrific beating he gave Abdullah the Butcher on July 5th. Do you regret doing that when you think about the consequences? Colon: Not one bit. The man, if you would call him that, tried to permanently blind me. There is no going back after that. Rickin: So you have no regrets about the WWC Universal Title being held up? Colon: I do, but I had to ask myself something. Could I really stand before these great fans as their champion knowing that I hadn't taken my vengeance on Abdullah the Butcher for what he tried to do to me? If he had succeeded I would have had to retire and live the rest of my life as a blind man! Rickin: That is unforgiveable. Colon: Yes it is. And I will never forgive it. As a man I had to show Abdullah the Butcher what happens when I am attacked on a level that personal. I know Abdullah and I have had a lot of fights in the past and I have wanted nothing more than to drive him from Puerto Rico forever. But to permanently blind a man is going too far. Rickin: And the fire match, do you think it is a wise choice? Colon: I'm not worried about wise. I want my Universal Championship back and I want to hurt Abdullah the Butcher. I get to do both. I know the dangers and accept them. Rickin: I can tell you based on my conversations with fans, the amount of support you got in the hospital and the turnout for your return that you have the unanimous suppport of the WWC fans. Colon: That is such a great thing. People like Chicky Starr are driven by money and fame. Abdullah the Butcher and los Pastores are bloodthirsty. I want to give these great fans what they want, justice! And that's what they will see on September 20th in Ponce! Colon goes to join Invader 1 and Jos LeDuc in the aisle, but is mobbed by fans and takes the time to shake hands and briefly greet them. Rickin: Carlitos Colon has been known to go to great lengths when he is pushed too far. We saw that on July 5th in Hiram Bithorn Stadium. Hugo: He definitely went a long way in Hiram Bithorn! But after a man has tried to blind you how far is too far?? Rickin: Definitely a worthwhile question. I wonder if Colon won't be distracted by the similarity between Abdullah Tamba and Abdullah the Butcher. Hugo: It could happen! And it could cost his team! Rickin: It very much could. If he is too focused on Tamba the Starrs could take advantage of that. Hugo: And they will! Rickin: But then again, Carlitos has to believe that Chicky Starr had something to do with the attempt to blind him and that could be foremost on his mind. Hugo: Yes, and I'm not so sure I believe Chicky wasn't involved. Rickin: Speaking of Chicky Starr, here he is and the fans are greeting him. Hugo: Chicky has really learned to enjoy the boos and garbage being thrown at him! Rickin: This is an important thing? Hugo: If the crowd isn't going to cheer you, yes! Rickin: I suppose. You do often say that there is more than one way to feed off of a crowd. Hugo: Because there is! Rickin: I have been aware of that for some time, I simply don't agree with it. Hugo: Next time you talk to Chicky ask him if he wants your agreement. Rickin: I know very well that Chicky Starr gave up on that long ago. But he has always shown me a certain amount of respect. Hugo: You two have mutual friends! Rickin: Fair enough. Ron and Chicky seem to be discussing strategy. Hugo: Probably trying to make plans for how to take advantage of Colon being too aggressive! Rickin: It would be a smart way to plan. Referee Victor Quinonez has called for the bell. Jos LeDuc, Invader 1 & Carlitos Colon vs. Abdullah Tamba & WWC Caribbean Tag Team Champions Los Primos Starr Colon is under control right away as the faces control the match by isolating Chicky Starr. Chicky hits a few punches on Invader 1 to make the tag to Ron, who immediately gets into trouble. Finally Abdullah Tamba hits the ring illegally and LeDuc is quick to intercept. Things break down as Colon attacks Chicky and they go outside. Tamba hits a dropkick to send LeDuc outside, leaving Invader 1 and Ron in the ring. Ron goes low on Invader 1 to take control and hits his big running knee. Tamba punches LeDuc down outside and they double team Invader 1 while Quinonez shouts at Colon to stop punching Chicky and get back to his corner. The match settles into Ron and Tamba giving Chicky time to recover. Invader 1 finally tags Colon and the crowd goes nuts. Colon goes right after Tamba, which lets the Starrs double team him and Tamba hits a splash off the top on Colon. LeDuc breaks up the pin just in time, which touches off another brawl. LeDuc ends up catching Tamba in the one-armed backbreaker for the three count just before Ron can break up the pin. LeDuc, Invader 1 & Colon by pinfall in 14:39 with a one-armed backbreaker (LeDuc) Following the match, the Starrs get Tamba out of the ring and retreat to the back. Chicky is not at a loss for words towards the 3 men in the ring as he backs away from the ring. Colon raises the arm of both LeDuc and Invader 1 in victory. Rickin: More bad news for Chicky Starr and his Corporation. Hugo: That was a wild finish! Colon's unpredictability ended up making things go right for his team! Rickin: It could have gone either way. We are out of time fans. We leave you with the cards for our big show in Ponce on September 20th. Main Event: Abdullah the Butcher vs. Carlitos Colon for the vacant WWC Universal Heavyweight Title in a Fire Match Los Super Medicos vs. Los Primos Starr (C) for the WWC Caribbean Tag Team Championship Hercules Ayala vs. Bam Bam Bigelow (C) for the WWC Caribbean Heavyweight Championship Dirty Dutch Mantell vs. Hangman Bobby Jaggers in a Cage Match

NWA World Wrestling Council July 1986
WWC House Show 7/24/86 Coliseo Hector Sola Bezares de Caguas, Caguas, Puerto Rico Brad Batten w/Bart Batten vs. The Crusher w/Jonathan Boyd & Barrabas Batten started hot, but the Crusher managed to overpower him. A few back and forth pinfalls then the Crusher hit a big rib breaker on Batten. While he was celebrating his move for the crowd, Bart (dressed identically to Brad), rolled Brad out of the ring and played dead. The Crusher walked into an inside cradle by Bart when he came in arrogantly to finish him off and referee Ricky Vargas counted to 3. Barrabas and Boyd, who had also been working the crowd with the Crusher, had no idea what went on. The Caribbean Express/Ricky Santana vs. Owen Hart/Los Mercenarios w/Chicky Starr Santana and the Express tried keeping the match in the ring, but los Mercenarios would move it to the floor every chance they could. Santana got isolated and Owen gave him a good working over with the Light Heavyweight belt while referee Tomas Marin's attention was elsewhere. Perez took a big hot tag and cleaned house. A bloodied Santana attacked Hart viciously and almost threw Hart down the stairs leading to the dressing rooms before los Mercenarios saved Hart. Mercenario 2 covered the retreat with a chair on the narrow staircase and the babyfaces had their arms raised in victory for a chering crowd. Victor the Bodyguard & Abdullah Tamba w/Chicky Starr vs. Super Medico 1/Carlitos Colon w/Super Medico 3 Colon went after Tamba from the opening bell and things never eally settled down much. Victor and Tamba were able to work over Medico 1 briefly, but he made a comeback on his own before tagging in Carlitos. The crowd went nuts as Colon cleared the ring and focused his attention on Tamba. Invader 1 hit a plancha on Victor and referee Victor Quinonez counted both teams out as they brawled on the floor. Bart Batten vs. Hercules Ayala This bout was wrestled legally and saw Bart Batten make a good showing against Hercules Ayala, but lose to the reverse figure four leglock. Boyd and the Crusher were out to avenge their earlier defeat, but Ayala helped Batten fend off the attack before the two shook hands. WWC Caribbean Tag Team Championships Los Invaders (1 & 3) vs. Los Primos Starr (C) This match had two distinct paces early on. Los Invaders got a hot start and used their fast-paced, smooth teamwork to work over Chicky Starr's arm. Chicky hit a low blow on Invader 1 and the Starrs used slower, more methodical teamwork to keep Invader 1 in their corner. After Invader 3's tag in things went roughly the same, with Ron landing the low blow on Invader 3. Things broke down after Invader 1's tag and the Starrs narrowly avoided a few pinfalls, with Ron barely saving Chicky from being pinned after a connonball from Invader 3. Ron pulled Chicky out of the ring and the Starrs collected their belts and left. Los Invaders stood tall in the ring to close the show despite not winning the tag belts.

AWA results for June 1986
Buddy Rose gets a win the Buddy Rose way. Zenk vs. Tanakashould help both out. I love the Sheepherders in a No DQ Barbed Wire match! Perfect use for them! Adams & Garvin vs. the Bullies is another amazing matchup in your tag team division! Piper's Pit is on such a roll. Slaughter too. I wonder who will slow him down. Steamboat getting the first win over Bigelow in the AWA is such a HUGE deal. Great booking on all of your storylines going on here.

Great American Bash 86
Gilbert's first match as TV champ is exactly what I would want it to be. The Mega Stars get a necessary win on a big, big show. Dr. D winning the Battle Royal was the right choice if you ask me. Street is not going to let this one slide. Andre going over was the right choice, even if it's not exactly rocket science. Brody/Hansen against the Road Warriors? I'll be there for that one! Great WarGames with the heels falling apart afterwards. I like Schultz's revenge on the Koloffs. Big win by Kerry!! The Russian NIghtmare is finally over. But the Koloffs have some legit gripes that will not go away so easily as well.

1983 Project General Chatter Thread
Maybe things go smoother with the way the NWA is working now. Since there is such cooperation and sharing of talent, having these guys seen all across the country wouldn't be such a blow to the way the NWA works here as opposed to the way it affected the way the NWA actually worked. If you saw a late night WCCW show in Canada or a Lutte show in Texas there wouldn't be a huge disconnect. It would also mean you would have multiple promotions trying to air shows in different markets and the competition that would engender might hurt that cooperation (in a real life scenario). But it could be a deal where most everything was seen in a lot of areas of the country and everybody basically had the prime time slots/ratings in their home area too.

Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling July 86
One of these days Casey will get a win over a high profile opponent. He's earned it. I like Mark & Chris getting a squash win so soon after Chris's return. Always love seeing SBS in action. Big win for Bad News! And big way for Lewin to get some heat by dragging in a jobber. Hot 6-man with the Assassins getting one over on Hot Property and DJ Peterson. Is the Great Gama next in line to get his arm destroyed by the Professor??? Loved Cooley getting the hot tag and not Johnson in the tag titles bout. Orndorff and Mulligan is a great, great main event.

The WWC would like to book Abdullah the Butcher on August 8th.

1983 Project General Chatter Thread
A thought hit me and I did some research. In 1980 there were 28 cable networks (or channels I suppose). Deregulation by the government in 1984 led to that being 79 by the end of 1989. There were 53 million homes wired for cable at that time. We all know the territories were affected greatly by cable and how different promoters handled it. Do we want to work that into how things go as we get closer to 89?

Portland Wrestling July 1986
I will be the first one to tell you that TV squashes are the way to go. Keeps everybody heating up even with house show losses. The Bodies vs. the Sawyers seems like it could be a good midcard feud if you wanted to go that direction. Ranger Ross getting his own vignettes signifies he's going to mean something within the territory. Glad to see you're getting the wrestlers you need to run your big shows. Rip Oliver in Portland warms my heart. He was such a fixture there. Graham advances, but at what cost? And will the Samoans leave his next match be? I for one doubt it.

WWF On Tour July 1986
Of all of the great house show matches, I'm sure that Arn & Tully vs. the Bulldogs would have torn the house down. Hogan, Tito & Wahoo against the Horsemen less Flair would have been right up there. Agreed that Bunkhouse Buck in the WWF is a little strange in theory. Those battle royals will definitely bring the fans in. Not me particularly as I never cared much for them, but they seem to work. Hogan being announced for next week is always a big deal. Big win for Muta and it's awesome that he's getting over in New York and Texas. Wahoo vs. Studd should be a good program for both. Speaking of good feuds, the Nasties and Blade Runners should be beneficial to everyone involved. Hacksaw taking on the Horsemen is definitely going to get him over and fast.

World Class Championship Wrestling July/August 1986
Muta is getting a nice push in Texas so far. Regal going to a DCO against Killer Khan is impressive. Houston/Beefcake/Putski is n odd team, I wonder how the fans reacted. Glad that Street is getting some of the attention he deserves. Really good in-ring and I feel like he has been underused in the project. Hansen/Brody are champs! I wonder waht that means in the long run. That ended up being quite the extended squash for Dusty and the LOD. I'd bet that main was all kinds of stiff and violent. Just the way I like my wrestling.

I always like your opening recaps of the big events. Adonis and Street wrestling will be more spectacle than the Cotton Bowl can handle. Olympia and Andre is a great team-up to take on the Headhunters. Loving the idea of Muta in Texas. Gilbert as TV champ! I hoped it would be him. Hansen/Brody has become a pretty common team in Texas. Good for the fans, not so much the wrestlers. That is one loaded card in San Antonio. The top four matches are main events for me. And your Bash tour is stacked as well. Nikita has been a great champion so far if you ask me. Lots of really good matchups all over the NWA. The month of July is definitely a big month for the project!

Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling July 86
I like the build for Snuka. Caspian Empire get a needed win over Stampede Rush. Idol laying Fuller out is going to have consequences. Kernodle eeking out a win over Kirchner keeps things building. Nice. I like Crews working the crowd pre-match and not getting a win with Riddle gone. It puts over the importance of Riddle as manager. Mark Lewin as the next feud for St. Clair sounds like it could be fun. I really like the way you set that up to free Singh up for Orndorff. I like the exciting, fast-paced babyface vs. babyface tag match. It's a perfect setup for the completely hate-filled match that follows. The Freebirds making a surprise run-in is a great way to keep things rolling in more than one promotion.

NWA World Wrestling Council July 1986
Original Airdate: July 18th, 1986 (Originally airing in Spanish on WAPA Channel 4 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Rickin: Welcome to another hour of World Wrestling Council action fans. We have a big show for you this week. Hugo: What a main event! Rickin: Indeed we do have a great main event. We have to talk about something that happened last week. In our six-man tag main event Super Medico 1 pinned Chicky Starr after Dutch Mantell had chased Bobby Jaggers backstage, leaving the match essentially as a tag match. Hugo: After Ron Starrr accidentally hit Chicky! Rickin: It's a more convincing way to finish a match than the Starrs usually employ. Despite Chicky Starr's insistence that los Super Medicos are beneath him and Ron Starr as a team, Chicky has been pinned twice in non-title matches against los Super Medicos. Hugo: You said it! Non-title! Rickin: Say what you will, it has to have Chicky Starr worried. Los Super Medicos will be in tag team action tonight. Hugo: Let's see if they can keep that momentum going. Rickin: If they can keep it going until September 20th the Starrs will be in trouble. Tonight we will see Victor the Bodyguard and Dutch Mantell in singles matches. Hugo: Victor had a good debut and he should continue his success here tonight! Rickin: Also in singles action is the new NWA Light Heavyweight Champion Invader 3. Hugo: In a non-title bout. But it's always fun to watch Invader 3 wrestle! Rickin: He is a very exciting wrestler to watch. I'll be talking with los Super Medicos before their match. And I'll be talking with El Profe. Hugo: Isn't he suspended?!? Rickin: TNT is because he injured Gama Singh. El Profe apparently had nothing to do with that. Hugo: Not from what I saw! Rickin: You won't get any argument from me. I'll be talking with Dutch Mantell before tonight's main event. Hugo: I'm sure Dutch will have a lot to say! Rickin: This is his first time addressing the fans since Hiram Bithorn, so I would think so. Chicky Starr will have Owen Hart in his Sports Shop. If that weren't bad enough, I'm sure he'll have something to say about how last week went. Hugo: Probably something interesting! And Owen has been a favorite of Chicky Starr's since he came to Puerto Rico! Rickin: I know. In our main event tonight Hercules Ayala will team with Jos LeDuc against Ron Starr and Abdullah Tamba. Hugo: Big test for Abdullah Tamba tonight! Two big men who have no love lost for the Starrs! Rickin: We'll see how Abdullah Tamba handles that later. Right now Victor the Bodyguard is on the way to the ring with Chicky Starr. Who has a baseball bat. Hugo: Chicky needs to protect himself! Rickin: Or to illegally use the bat to hit someone. Hugo: That works too! Like I always say.. Rickin:...Every advantage counts. I remember several occasions where Chicky Starr was outnumbered at ringside, so I understand this somewhat. Hugo: A man like Chicky Starr makes a lot of enemies. Rickin: Which should tell him something. Victor seems unfazed by all of the garbage being thrown his and Chicky's way. Hugo: He is unfazed by everything! Rickin: That much is true. He doesn't say much either. Hugo: He is very focused on his job! That's a good thing you know. Rickin: So it is. Victor is in the ring and referee Ricky Vargas just called for the bell. Armandito Salgado vs. Victor the Bodyguard Victor controlled with brawling and a body slam. A short comeback was cut off by a Victor clothesline. Victor hit the DDT for the 3 count. Victor the Bodyguard by pinfall in 5:09 with a DDT Rickin: Victor continues to impress. He's done well in his first few matches. Hugo: I'm sure Chicky helped train him! Rickin: I am afraid that might be more true than I like. Chicky is making sure the crowd knows Victor won. Hugo: One of the perks of working for Chicky Starr! Rickin: I'm not sure that will get you anything but more garbage thrown your direction. Up next I'll be joined by los Super Medicos before their match. We'll be right back. (Commercial Break) 0:00 - 8:30 Rickin: Welcome back fans. With me now are two men who have proven they can beat the WWC Caribbean Tag Team Champions on multiple occasions, los Super Medicos. Medico 1: We have to beat them in a title match for it to matter Rickin. Hugo isn't wrong. Rickin: To relieve them of the titles, yes. But those wins have to give you two confidence and momentum towards doing just that. Medico 1: Absolutely Rickin. And we are feeling like our teamwork has never been better. We will be ready to face los Primos Starr on equal terms on September 20th. Rickin: I doubt Chicky Starr will leave things like this leading into that match. Medico 1: We have talked about that and it's something we are on the lookout for. We have our friends watching our backs and that will help. Rickin: Los Mercenarios have openly said they will injure men for Chicky Starr as long as they continue to be paid for their absence. Medico 1: We are aware of that and we keep our guard up when we're at the wrestling venues. These fans need champions they can be proud of and we feel like we can give them that! Rickin: Thank you for your time gentlemen, good luck tonight. Medico 1 & 2: Thank you Rickin. Los Super Medicos make their way down to the aisle as the fans cheer. Rickin: A very confident Super Medico 1. Hugo: They still haven't proven they can win in a title match, but I think they are a good enough team to do it. Rickin: I agree completely. And I think they would make great champions. Hugo: If they can beat los Primos Starr! Rickin: You keep going back to that. Hugo: When the titles were up for grabs, los Super Medicos lost both matches! Rickin: Due to los Mercenarios interfering and Chicky Starr cheating. Hugo: Still losses. That mean the Starrs are still the champions! Rickin: Sometimes you are impossible. Hugo: I like to have fun with you! I think los Super Medicos have as good a chance as any team of beating the Starrs! Rickin: I'm going to leave it at that, easier that way. Los Super Medicos are in the ring and referee Tomas Marin is calling for the bell. Mr. X & Y vs. Los Super Medicos Medicos use superb teamwork to control the match. They smoothly cut off any comeback by Mr. X. Medico 1 slams X down and tags in 2. Medico 1 slams Medico 2 into a senton, which gets the three. Los Super Medicos by pinfall in 5:15 with an assisted senton. Rickin: It's good to see such smooth teamwork by los Super Medicos. Hugo: They are working together very well now! Rickin: Time and confidence will help that. Up next we will visit Chicky Starr in his Sports Shop and Dutch Mantell will be in singles action. Hugo: You don't want to miss any of that! (Commercial Break) 8:30 - 15:30 Hugo: We're BAAAACK and it's SPORTS SHOP TIME!! Chicky walks in wearing his custom suit and his WWC Caribbean Tag Team Title over his shoulder. He picks up a microphone and sits down with an angry look on his face. Chicky: Before we go any further, I am going to take this time to say tha los Super Medicos will learn how insignificant they really are sooner than they think! Ronnie and I had an ill-timed miscommunication and los Super Medicos think that they should have THESE (points to his belt)! Well that's not how it works and if you think for one second that you cold beat us without your friends Jos LeDuc and Dutch Mantell around, you're dreaming! I'm tired of having to deal with this idiocy! Chicky takes a moment to calm himself down. Chicky: Now that I have that out of the way, on to the good news. The WWC has a new Lightweight Champion. The man who should have won the belt in the first place and my friend, Owen Hart! Hart walks on set with his title around his waist and hugs Chicky. Both sit down. Chicky: I wore the custom suit that Ric Flair gave me as a gift for this occasion. It's not often we have such deserving champions in the Sports Shop! Hart: You believed in me from the start and I'll always appreciate that. Chicky: I'll do more than that. We'll go shopping for a suit for you too. You deserve to dress like a champion! Hart: I do. Ricky Santana always talks about how I did this and I did that to him. When the time came to wrestle for this prestigious title, who was the one who cheated? Chicky: Ricky Santana. Hypocrite. Hart: Exactly! And now that I did the same thing back to him to get this belt, I'm sure he's crying to the WWC about a rematch. And giving them some sob story about how he was cheated out of his title. Chicky: When it never should have been his in the first place. Do you think he'll whine about Abdullah Tamba attacking him too? Hart: I know he will. The man will use anything and everything to get his way and I'm getting sick of it. The worst part of it is these idiot fans buy it all hook, line and sinker. Chicky: The fans here are nothing to concern yourself with. They don't know talent when they see it. You have already promised Santana a rematch as I recall. Hart: I have. One match. When he loses he never touches this belt while I still hold it. Like I said I am sick of Ricky Santana. I hate even saying the name. Chicky: He is an irritating, cowardly, hypocritical man. Wrestle him this one last time and put him out of your mind. Hart: I don't put it past him trying to interfere in my matches and cost me the title after he loses. Chicky: He did that very thing when you wrestled Jacques Rougeau. And succeeded. Hart: Yeah. Some people get a little obsessive. Chicky: Invader 1 is that way with me. You find ways to deal with it. Thank you for joining me this week. I don't know if I have told you this but you are my favorite guest. Hart: Really? Thanks. For everything. Chicky: Anything I can do to help a young man find his way. We're out of time fans and you'll be forced back to the boring part of the show. Next week my guest will be El Profe, so it will be another good show. Be sure to tune in! Owen and Chicky walk off the set, talking. Cut back to the arena. Rickin: I always wonder if there is a point to those conversations. Hugo: they have some very real grievances! Rickin: Proportionally, not many. Dirty Dutch Mantell is on his way to the ring. Hugo: And the fans are giving him a lot of support! Rickin: He has fought through a lot and has yet to slow down in any way. Hugo: Hangman Bobby Jaggers will do just about anything to win a match. Is he here tonight?!? Rickin: I don't believe he is. He was told specifically not to be here tonight because of this match. Hugo: Jaggers and Mantell have been in some very vicious fights! It's probably a good idea to keep them separated! Rickin: I would agree. Dutch will be out here later, presumably to talk about the events of July 5th and the upcoming cage match. Hugo: That's what I would be talking about! That cage match is going to be something! Rickin: It should give Dutch ample opportunity to punish Jaggers for his involvement in Dutch's arm injury. Hugo: Jaggers is no slouch in the ring when he needs to fight! Rickin: I know, but Dutch has to be about at his boiling point. And that is a dangerous state to fight any man in. Hugo: Dutch Mantell more than most! Rickin: Exactly what I was getting at. Ring announcer Eliud Gonzalez has finished his announcements and Dutch is in the ring. There is the bell. Domingo Robles vs. Dutch Mantell Dutch is in control with his dirty tricks, brawling and technical offense. Robles tries to make a comeback with dirty tricks of his own but Dutch stuffs any offense Robles tries. Dutch hits the short lariat and the gourdbuster for the three count. Dutch Mantell by pinfall in 3:28 with a gourdbuster Rickin: That was a coinvincing win for Dutch. Hugo: Like you said, any man as angry as Dutch is tough to fight.. Rickin: But since it is Dutch it just makes things that much more dangerous. Up next I'll be talking to El Profe and we'll see NWA Light Heavyweight Champion Invader 3 in a non-title match. Don't go anywhere. (Commercial Break) 15:30 - 23:30 Rickin: Welcome back fans. I have been joined by a man we all know, El Profe. Your client TNT was the first to find out that the WWC meant business when they made their new policy on injuring another wrestler. Profe: Of course they did you imbecile. Do you think they wanted to see wrestler after wrestler carried out of the ring in a stretcher like Gama Singh was after TNT held onto the cobra dinamita as long as he did? Rickin: If you understood this, why order your man to do that? And how is it that you are not suspended for taking part in this situation? Profe: After listening to you and your loudmouth partner these past few weeks I had started to give you both some credit. I can see I was wrong. Everyone respected TNT for his wrestling ability and his skill in the martial arts. Now they fear TNT because of his lethal finishing hold. Like they should have from the start. And to address your second question, the WWC did try to include me in the suspension. Rickin: Yet you are still here. Profe: Don't look so unhappy about it. You never know what I might do if I felt insulted enough. I do not recall ordering TNT to do anything. He is a man, capable of making his own decisions. I just happen to have a friend with several very effective lawyers who let the WWC know what would happen if I was suspended without good reason. Rickin: We all know who that friend is. Profe: And yet you and the WWC were intent on including me in this suspension that has nothing at all to do with the policy that was made. It shows how stupid and foolish the people with the power here are. I'm sure these fans were right along with you, imbeciles that they are. Rickin: Our time is running short, so I'm going to ask you if you are aware that traditionally a man who puts on a hold resembling a sleeper, like the cobra dinamita, brings a man back out of the hold before leaving the ring? Or was that not part of the wrestling you learned? Profe: First, your tradition and mine are as far apart as our intelligence levels. And I would consider my tradition to be as far above yours as well. Second, how do you know TNT wasn't going to bring Gama Singh back? Ricky Santana and Dutch Mantell were out for blood when they ran for the ring and a two on one fight was not what either TNT or I was looking for at that time. So we left. Like I am now. El Profe walks away from the desk and has more than a few pieces of garbage thrown at him on his way out of the arena. Rickin: I cannot believe that man's arrogance. Even while making excuses that are clearly outright lies. Hugo: If there is one thing we agree on, it's El Profe! Rickin: At least there is that. Here comes Invader 3 with his NWA Light Heavyweight Championship around his waist. Hugo: And Invader 1 is coming to the ring with him! Rickin: You never know when somebody from Chicky Starrs corporation might attack. Not Chicky himself, but I'm sure Victor the Bodyguard, Abdullah Tamba and los Mercenarios are expendable for a month. Hugo: You're starting to understand! Rickin: What I wish you would understand is that men like los Invaders and Carlitos Colon don't have men who do their dirty work for them. Hugo: I do! I just don't think that's the wisest way of doing things! Rickin: I recall your way of doing things. Invader 3 is really taking his time to mingle with the fans on the way to the ring. Hugo: They have always loved him. Now that he's captured an NWA belt it's got to make them happier! Rickin: I can tell you the WWC is very excited to have Invader 3 as the NWA Lightweight Champion. That match against Chris Benoit was great. Hugo: Yes! Lots of action! Rickin: And both men kept it clean. Hugo: If Benoit had done whatever was necessary to win he would have kept his belt! Rickin: That's not always the case Hugo and some men don't feel the need to break the rules as a matter of habit. Both wrestlers are in the ring and there is the bell. Mr. Z vs. Invader 3 Invader 3 controls with his babyface offense and some excellent punches. A short comeback by Z is cut off with a beautiful dropkick. Invader 3 slams Z down and climbs up top. A cannonball (top rope somersault senton) by Invader 3 gets the three. Invader 3 by pinfall in 4:07 with the cannonball (top rope somersault senton) Rickin: The crowd is loving Invader 3's win. Hugo: They loved him before the win! Rickin: Even so, the ringside fans are celebrating the win with Invader 1 and 3. Up next I'll be talking to Dutch Mantell and we'll have our main event. Hugo: Hercules Ayala and Jos LeDuc against Ron Starr and Abdullah Tamba!! Rickin: You don't want to miss it, don't go anywhere fans. (Commercial Break) 23:30 - 31:30 Rickin: Welcome back fans, I have been joined by Dutch Mantell. (English) I'm sure there is a lot you want to talk about. Dutch: Damn right there is Rickin. First off I wanna talk directly to that no good, yellow dog Austin Idol. You can use Bobby Jaggers to hire men to break my arm. You can wait under the ring with a riding crop and bust me open behind the referee's back. That ain't nuthin' but feul on the fire. You keep runnin' off like a scalded dog before I can get you in my sights, but that's okay. Come Hell or high water you and I are gonna end up face to face one day. And ain't no way you walk away from that the way you walked into it. I'm gonna give you a whuppin' like you ain't never had before and leave you with a few souvenirs to remember Dutch Mantell by. Rickin: I hope that one day- Dutch: Ain't no hope involved Rickin Sanchez. I just told you and anybody else watchin' that it's gonna happen. That's 100% truth. Rickin: In the meantime, you have a cage match signed against Hangman Bobby Jaggers. We can hope that will ensure a match on equal grounds. Dutch: Equal ground would be a Hell of a thing wouldn't it? But we both know Bobby Jaggers ain't gonna leave it at that. He's gonna do somethin' to tilt it his way and that's fine by me. I can play that game better'n anyone and I damn sure mean to. Rickin: I don't think anyone would hold that against you given the circumstances. Dutch: What makes you think any of that matters right now? That man had a hand in what those Mercenario boys did to me and he's got somethin' comin' for it. End of story. You and all of these people, as much as I do appreciate 'em, can like it or not. Rickin: I can understand that attitude. After Bobby Jaggers do you intend to go after los Mercenarios? Dutch: I ain't worried about what happens after that match. Before I can look at what comes next I gotta take care of what's in front of me. That would be Hangman Bobby Jaggers, and you can bet there's things gonna get taken care of. Dutch stalks off, ignoring the fans cheering him as he heads for the dressing room. Rickin: (Spanish) Dutch is definitely focused on that match. Hugo: He is! If he carries that all the way to the cage match I don't want to be Bobby Jaggers! Rickin: I doubt Dutch will cool off much by the time September 20th arrives. Here come Jos LeDuc and Hercules Ayala, two very strong men. Hugo: Yes, but can they handle the the speed, technique and agility of their opponents?? Rickin: Both are veteran wrestlers. I would say they have both had to deal with men more agile over their years of experience. Hugo: But not many men are as versatile and skilled as Ron Starr! Rickin: True enough. And I would also say tha Abdullah Tamba is a man who is difficult to deal with due to the style he wrestles for a 270 pounder. Hugo: Yes! But you aren't wrong in saying Ayala and LeDuc are veterans. Ayala came very close to beating Bam Bam Bigelow twice by using his experience and changing his strategy. Rickin: Yes, and LeDuc did very well against Tamba before he turned his attention to Chicky Starr for a little too long. Hugo: Every advantage counts! Rickin: And having a man like Chicky Starr in your corner can be seen as an advantage. Hugo: Yes! He will do just about anything to turn a match in favor of his man! Rickin: Reminds me of a manager who retired just before Chicky Starr rose to prominence. Hugo: I know who you're talking about! Rickin: And you should. I'm guessing you had a great influence on Chicky. Hugo: Thank you.... Rickin: And here comes Chicky Starr, leading his cousin Ron and Abdullah Tamba out. Hugo: Don't forget that Ron is one half of the Caribbean Tag Team Champions! Rickin: I couldn't if i tried. If it wasn't you reminding me it would be Chicky Starr. Hugo: It is something to be proud of! Rickin: Not the way they won them. Or have kept them. Hugo: They still have them though! Rickin: So they do. I see the fans are giving Chicky his usual warm greeting. Hugo: He doesn't want your garbage! Or those rocks I see flying... Rickin: There is something to be said for not pushing these fans past their limits. Hugo: These fans should know better than to bring all of that into the arena! Rickin: Chicky Starr should know better than to constantly antagonize the fans, Invader 1 and Carlitos Colon. The fan reaction goes from Chicky Starr to men he represents, like Ron and Abdullah Tamba. Hugo: They don't seem to mind. But you're right! The fans shouldn't treat them like that just because they are friends of Chicky! Rickin: It's going to happen. Everyone is in the ring. Chicky is having a heated conversation with Ayala and referee Victor Quinonez calls for the bell. Ron Starr & Abdullah Tamba vs. Jos LeDuc & Hercules Ayala Starr and Abdullah rush Ayala, but LeDuc is quick to intervene and a 4-way brawl ensues as Chicky Starr scrambles out of the ring. Ayala and LeDuc take over after sending Starr outside. They work over Tamba only for Chicky to distract Ayala again and play face in peril. Ayala makes the tag after hitting Tamba with a few big punches and a clothesline. LeDuc and Tamba are brawling back and forth and it spills outside. Ayala has the advantage on Ron, who kicks him low while the referee is looking at the action outside and ties him up in an inside cradle for the three count. Ron Starr & Abdullah Tamba by pinfall in 13:42 with a Ron Starr inside cradle Ron and Chicky stat retreating to the back as Ayala is recovering, but they have to go back to ringside. LeDuc has Tamba against the guard rail and is laying in big forearms to the chest. Security is watching ringside fans to ensure no one joins in the fun. Ron and Chicky peel LeDuc off of Tamba, but soon have to turn tail and run as Ayala joins the fray. Rickin: Tainted victory for Ron Starr, but as you are known to say a win is a win. Hugo: Yes! But I won't take anything away from Ayala or LeDuc. Rickin: I'm sure Abdullah Tamba would agree in LeDuc's case after that beating he took outside the ring. Tamba may have the quickness advantage, but I wonder how much of an advantage that gives him. Hugo; That all depends where they are in the ring! Rickin: I suppose it does. Fans we are almost out of time. We leave you with the card so far for September 20th in Ponce. Main Event: Abdullah the Butcher vs. Carlitos Colon for the vacant WWC Universal Heavyweight Title in a Fire Match Los Super Medicos vs. Los Primos Starr (C) for the WWC Caribbean Heavyweight Championship Dirty Dutch Mantell vs. Hangman Bobby Jaggers in a Cage Match

Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling July 86
Riddle managing to annoy David without being in the building is solid gold. Brad getting pissed at Tony for bringing up his embarrassment is the exact right tone there. Kirchner and Kernodle in a taped fist match! How much are tickets? Good babyface promo by the Youngbloods (wrestler names here). Mark has been holding down the fort, but now it's time for them to start making waves as a team. Bad News showing no intention of backing down one bit from KKB or Teddy's interference. Perfect. I liked Oliver's promo a lot. Him calling out Jones and Mulligan for the same stuff he was a part of shows character. Or sets everybody up for a swerve. Polynesian Express should make a good showing against the RnRs. Gantner going after the Awesome Twosome should be really good for him. Rude and Manny are both guys who will put over his power before they cheat to put him down. I looked at the matches for the weekend expecting to see a 6-man tag involving the Assassins and the Flame against Hot Property/Peterson and there it is. Funny how that works. St. Clair and Singh are headed for a maybe final showdown? I'm okay with that as long as Orndorff is next for Singh. Great way to send the fans home happy with Idol destroying Fuller.

Can Ams have been on fire lately. God to see Chavo get a win, the Guerreros need one. Tough break for the Youngbloods, but you have to watch Larry Z. British Steel, British Bullies and Black Irish are teams I can't get enough of. Keep 'em coming. Rotundo making the sacrifice is a great bit of booking that should put Spivey over even more. Garvin vs. Bock? Hell yes!

Youngbloods and Can Ams is going to be a lot of fun. I wonder who turns heel. Guerreros not having much luck against the evil bastards who took their 6-man titles. Adams' fortunes have been looking up since Garvin started supporting him. Slaughter is on a mission and I can't wait to see who his big name opponent is. Piper and the Herders in cahoots! Piper and Orton champs! Awesome stuff here. Tanak vs. Hamada would be one Hell of a workrate match. I don't think there is a more babyface team in the world than Steamboat and Martel. Seriously. Sullivan taking the fall instead of Zenk is a great bit of booking and if my understanding of Sullivan is on target it would have gone down that way.

Great American Bash 86
Glad to see Brito get a win. Goto has really gotten a good build. I wonder if Andre is an A-lister. Armand looks strong here. Bundy getting both Adias and War Cloud is a great bit of booking. Here's hoping Martel keeps up his winning ways. He's had a rough go of it lately. Are we teasing a Charland turn on Frenchy? I am hoping Embry has a plan to fix all of this. So very much hoping.

Adams and Taylor would have on Hell of an opening bout. I like the pairing of the Can Ams and Youngbloods. Two really good, young teams. That dastardly Larry Z. Cactus going right along with Jake's new attitude works really well. Slaughter out for revenge is not a man you want to deal with. Just ask Buzz Sawyer, a very tough man in his own right. Piper calling in the troops to soften Steamboat up is a good choice. Bigelow working for Piper is a good use for the big man.

UNIVERSAL WRESTLING FEDERATION (UWF)
Good interview by Lex and Baby Doll. There was a need to keep that one simple. Fuller and Murdoch against Boone and Armstrong sounds like a great match. Can Armstrong trust Boone? Sean Royal and the luchador team both had great showings. Mil and Atlantis against the Devil's Duo is a good introductory feud for them. Love the use of DiBiase here. Great way to put over JYD. Abby as the mystery guest, yes! The match between Williams/partner and Haku/Abby sounds awesome!

Paul E. or Floyd is going to lose their hair. Or so we think. Thankfully security is on to this War Cloud/Adias situation. Loving Kernodle of late, really getting after Jacques. Good way to hype the Bash show with Goto, especially after destroying Frenchy Martin. Speaking of Bash hype, follow up a great match with Jimmy Garvin and freaking Andre coming out. I'm 100% sure Jimmy Garvin will win that belt without help from Andre. 100%. The Ramblers over the Rougeaus is a big, big win. I'm with gordi on the idea of Rougeaus vs. Garvin/Embry/Andre.
