  1. Love this segment. Both guys play their characters so well and it helps get over the WM7 match even more.
  2. Hase/Sasaki are a really fun team. Normally I'm not all that into Kensuke, but he looks pretty good and I won't complain that he got to come in and hit some of his big stuff. He always makes that look good, even if the in betweens don't impress.
  3. Taue bites off a little more than he can chew knocking Misawa off the apron. OR DOES HE? Wait, no, Misawa is massacring him with those elbows and I think he did. Kobashi and Kikuchi double teaming the entire opposing team into oblivion and then the dive fake-Kikuchi dive is so awesome. Kikuchi making the big comeback is great stuff as well. Taue really comes out of this match looking good.
  4. Great match I thought. Jarrett and Pritchard work really well together, even if I think Pritchard could come out with the advantage on one or two exchanges right away. Not often a screwjob finish makes the babyface look stronger, but this one does.
  5. I liked the intensity and stiffness of the exchanges a lot. I also think they went back to Flair taking a back body drop or somebody grabbing a quick headlock far too often. Even if they worked in those headlocks, it just seemed like both guys had more they could have done.
  6. This was an unexpected match, but in such a good way. Honaga will sink to whatever depth he has to in order to beat Liger. And boy does LIger get PISSED about it! A fired-up Liger comeback is always great, made even better when his opponent goes out of his way to earn it.
  7. I like Nogami a lot. He keeps things simple and tends to go more for a solid story in a match instead of looking for big reactions. No exception here as he is pretty focused on Liger's leg injury and they work a great match around that.
  8. Really strange match. At first I thought they didn't have a lot of time so they were just getting their shit in. Then they started stalling between bursts of real offense, then came the "nobody can hit a signature move" part. Certainly fun in parts, but not great as a whole.
  9. If you must do a heavyweight bomb-fest, this is how it ought to be done. Not my cup of tea, but I do get why there are those who love it.
  10. Billy is a really good matwork guy when he needs to be. Still a better puncher though.
  11. Not a huge fan of the "Thank God for Kids" deal, but mostly well done and a great tribute.
  12. Brutal finish, I've always wanted to see Tanaka do more. He seems like a really good wretsler when he's not playing up a martial arts Asian gimmick to the hilt.
  13. I thought they worked a really good match, but forgetting the glove on the pole for the entire second half was not ideal.
  14. Terry going off the rails is just as entertaining as any on point promo I've ever seen. I'm pretty sure it works with the Terry Funk character.
  15. For it being a Freebirds match in 1991, this was pretty good. Hayes and Garvin both threw some very good punches. Finish was a little wonky, but it was as good as it could have been.
  16. He meant Van Halen with Sammy Hagar as the singer. Good, short Memphis match. No big surprise when the rest of the Texas guys come out.
  17. Loved the teased dissension between Dundee and Young. Young as a babyface is surprisingly good.
  18. I wish the ending hadn't been so overbooked, because they had a really good match going. Shawn and Perfect seem like they have really good chemistry.
  19. This match works in ways that wrestling matches usually do not. The intentional lack of teamwork, subtly laying groundwork for the turn at the end was great.
  20. Sting can really deliver as a fired up babyface. It's just a shame he never had that going when it mattered. Great stuff from both guys and I wish there had been more of this from Sting during the last year.
  21. This match really puts Casas right on Santo's level (if he already wasn't). It's good, but not near what they can do.
  22. Pritchard in the ring is far better than his announcing. Really good feud starter and I like the loaded boot spot.
