I agree. And the idea of a full, albeit swift, overview of a whole career in one sitting is appealing to me.

I wonder how different Schiavone found RF's 'ask questions flatly from a sheet with no follow up whatsoever' from Conrad's prepared, thorough grilling. I have my issues with Big Conrad at times but he puts an honest effort in, and to be fair he works better with Schiavone anyway.

Really enjoyed the discussion on both episodes.

To be honest, it's a relief that the show isn't weekly anymore, and unless he has a new cohost I tend to skip the top 10, and I'm selective about which interviews I listen to BUT I still think there's enough worthwhile stuff most of the time to pick through.

The Hog Wild episode is off to a really compelling start, with Conrad going hard at Heenan for working drunk and Schiavone questioning his own avoiding confrontation as a producer back then.

Enjoyed the Hansen/Dillon interviews. Lots of plugs on these podcasts though...

Just listening to the ranking the years segments now. Allan, I don't know if you were tape trading with Rob Butcher back then, but I picked up the 'Best of WCW - The Hogan Years' tapes. In three 4 hour tapes he covered the Best matches from july 94 to May 96. Bargain!

It wasn't discussed directly on the episode here, but I always got the impression that Schiavone would get annoyed on air that Heenan was clearly checked out and didn't care about much apart from slipping in one liners.

That's some high praise for steamboat-Luger at the Bash. I'll have to rewatch it.

Listened to the Heenan episode. I'll say the same thing as I did after listening to a schiavone podcast on the same topic 3 years ago. Tony, pick up the f***ing phone and ring him.

In terms of preparation, detail and actually having something to say, Foleys RF shoot in 2004 or early 2005 was very good.
