Wrestling Eye Podcast - Episode #6 Talking Powerslam Magazine with Rob Butcher, John Lister and Greg Lambert
The same. Really enjoyed this, and a lovely little peak behind the curtain from 20 years ago. Loved getting Rob's updated tape trader sheets and planning my next 4 or 5 tapes based on his star ratings.

Bam Bam Bigelow
Have to admit, I took a deep breath before championing Kurt Angle.....

WWE Network... It's Here
You were expecting something as classy as a PBS Doc from WWE? Come on......
-
Rick Martel
Isn't that '85? And yeah, great match. Like Martel a great deal in the AWA set. His stock went way up with me.
-
Abdullah the Butcher
Can you recommend so stuff? He hasn't made a big impression on me over the years but I'm open minded.
-
Chris Candido
Dylan, has anyone had their argument enhanced strongly by an ECW run? I haven't seen it used as a positive so far here.

Bam Bam Bigelow
"Bigelow was the second-best big man after Vader" doesn't hold up to scrutiny. PWO is allllll about scrutiny.' Damn right it is. My head will explode before this project is finished.....

WCW ongoing thread
How's that, El-P?
-
Hiroshi Hase
Now their careers are junk?! You just don't know when to stop, do you Chad?
-
Sting
The fun police! Got a good chuckle outta that. Sting had some good matches in TNA with Angle, Aries and Roode. It exists. Damnit, when will you people realise it exists!

That would be great, Loss. Don't want to derail this, but is it just me or do NJ heavies in the 90s not get enough love lately?

I think his babyface work in 1993 WWF is a nice counterpoint to the criticisms of 1988-91. He seems a more serious performer, and does less bumping, I assume because of the back injury. Liked his matches with Bret, Michaels, Doink and Martel from that run.
-
Ted DiBiase
Nicely argued. I never had a problem with AJPW Ted, thought he was fine there.
-
'Dr. Death' Steve Williams
Interesting theory, Joe. Although, credit those guys with being tough as hell to last in AJPW too.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
Nice! Born in 1978, first generation wrestling fan in 1990 - and knew no other wrestling fans.
- Mike Rotunda

Scott Steiner
Still love the tags from 1989-95 (They got a bit lazy afterwards). That's gotta count for something with me.
-
Chris Benoit
I can separate the matches from the events of June 2007. I think he deserves serious consideration as a top 20 wrestler for me.
-
Brock Lesnar
Voting for Lesnar 2012-date, is like voting for Undertaker based on 2008-13. I can see both in my list.
-
Dory Funk Jr.
I've watched quite a few of his early 80s AJPW tags too, enjoyed that. Let the Dory renaissance continue!
-
Kurt Angle
I'm paraphrasing, but someone mentioned that KENTA only has one speed, but it's a good speed. Feel the same with Angle. He's not a darling around here, but I enjoy his matches, flaws and all. I also think TNA seems to be a blind spot with a lot of posters, and would recommend his matches v McGuinness, Kennedy, Hardy, Storm, Aries and Roode. Just to get you started
-
Bruiser Brody
I don't hate Brody. Liked a lot of his tags with Hansen and his matches with Terry and Dory, Blackwell, Abby, Flair. He's by no means a top 100 lock, but I don't spit every time I utter his name either
-
Triple H
Wow! Now we're talkin'! I don't want to rehash all the politics etc from early on. In his favour - 08 feuds with Hardy and Orton, matches with legacy in 09, Undertaker at the 2 Manias (hey, I liked them), 2 good Lesnar matches, Bryan at Mania and the 2 Shield matches after that.

Kerry Von Erich
That - the metric shit ton of fresh footage since 2006 - sounds like a lovely podcast idea for you Dylan.
