  1. With the Olympics going on - I have been thinking about UWF. I am rooting for Backlund to be the baddest dude on the block here. the stadium shows are always special... you've delivered. Love the use of your gifs... they make everything easier to get into!
  2. The Rock baby! Love Don Muraco after seeing some of his recent promos... dude could turn it on when he needed to. Rock N Roll are here to stay... and they could definitely make a big splash which could up the AWA's tag team scene. Terry Taylor... you've floated around but finally found a home here... could he build back up to some semblance of star power. Could a Hogan v Terry Taylor feud draw?
  3. Big John and Baby Doll is something I would have liked to see IRL because of how big she was. They would tower over everyone. The Road Warriors and Garvin are not your average used car salesmen and they are going to make the Horsemen pay... 2 Cold has been a great player for you... love seeing him on the rise.
  4. I hope Hercules doesn't no sell the powerbombs from the Master and ruler of the world. Looking forward to Doom being the most un-fuck-withable team in the world soon. Kerry vs Luger is something I wouldn't have mind seeing IRL. The age old question is when should have Sting or Luger took the title IRL. 1989 GAB sting was pretty fucking hot... this may have been the time to switch the baton and see just what he could have done but it is all about who he has to challenge him next.
  5. August 5th WWF Raw Our soft open sees Jimmy Hart in between Dino Bravo and Greg Valentine. This stems back to the issue last week in which Bravo was “eliminated” by Valentine. Tonight Valentine takes on Tito Santana with the winner going on to face Muta at SummerSlam. We have the special privilege of Jack Tunney joining Gorilla Monsoon at ringside… he is holding the new US tag team championship belts. He announces we’ll see a special tournament to crown new champions at SummerSlam. Tonight we’ll see eight teams take part in four tag team matches… Tito Santana vs Greg Valentine w/ Jimmy Hart Needless to say - there may still be some rough feelings as we saw the arguing earlier on before the show with Valentine and Bravo. Earthquake and Honky tried to get involved but they ended up pushing and shoving as well. Now, Valentine comes out with Jimmy who is all torn up. Valentine and Tito lock up in a simple contest that doesn’t really do too much… but once Bravo comes out… well then it gets interesting… Jimmy is trying to back Dino off but Bravo gets up on the apron and then Valentine gets tossed into the ropes and Bravo goes flying into Jimmy. Valentine is screaming out of the ring but when he turns around… here comes Tito Santana with a huge flying forearm and the 3-count! Valentine and Bravo are now about to throw fists up the aisle as Honky and Quake come back out to stop things… the Hart Foundation is imploding before our very eyes… Tito has won a chance to go to SummerSlam! Not so fast my friend… we saw Tito celebrate for a moment but it was only a moment… Muta showed up out of nowhere and spewed the green myst right in his face and Tito was selling like crazy. The visual with his hair and the myst was fantastic… US Tag Title Qualifier The Rougeau Brothers defeated The Bushwhackers in the first qualifying match. The Whackers are fun and they have got some momentum with the fans but not enough to stop Jacques and Raymond! US Tag Title Qualifier The Z-man & Koko Ware went to a 15-minute draw with Mike Rotundo & Mr. Hughes - WOOF! It wasn’t pretty… Koko and Zenk have some rhythm but just no momentum right now… Rotundo is trying to carry Hughes as much as he can… and well… they aren’t there yet! Brother Love show with Jimmy Snuka… Rick Martel comes out to say that he is taking over for Snuka since he can’t even speak. He runs down Snuka for being a cannibal and a savage while Martel is sophisticated and the vision of perfection and excellence… Snuka doesn’t take too kind to it but starts to play with the Million Dollar Title but Martel smacks his hands away once… twice… but the third time Snuka grabs his hand! Oh man… Martel goes to swing but Snuka ducks and then headbutts Martel right in the nose! The Million Dollar Face of Rick Martel has been busted wide open! Snuka makes the “I Love YOU!” US Tag Title Qualifier The Skyscrapers and the Twin Towers went to a double DQ in a hard fought contest. Again, they give us a taste of what could possibly happen with these four men. The finish sees Slick nail Bossman with the nightstick on accident… which leads to Spivey nailing Gang. Paul E and Slick then got into it. It was pure chaos. US Tag Title Qualifier The Steiners defeated the Powers of Pain in the final qualifying match… Rick Steiner looked to be in very rough shape throughout and had his arm heavily bandaged. The Powers of Pain worked on the arm but didn’t seem to be overly motivated. Barbarian takes the Frankensteiner… lands on his head and eats the 3-count. The Steiners move on and we hear that they will be facing the Rougeau Brothers for the US tag titles at Summerslam due to the other two matches being draws! Event Center We hear about the SummerSlam card thus far… US TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS The Steiner Brothers vs The Rougeau Brothers TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP The Rockers vs Demolition INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP The Great Muta defends against Tito Santana KING’S COURT MATCH Hacksaw Duggan vs King Haku BATTLE OF THE GIANTS Andre the Giant challenges The Giant Gonzalez TAG TEAM BATTLE The Skyscrapers will take on the Twin Towers In a special WAR ZONE match… Terry Funk, Jake Roberts, & Rick Rude will take on Randy Savage, Dusty Rhodes, & The Ultimate Warrior. The War Zone is introduced as a six-man cage match. The first period sends one man from each team in for five minutes - then alternating team members will come in every two minutes. Once all six-men are in - the War Zone begins… where it is the first team to have all three members exit the cage or the first team to secure a pinfall or submission is the winner! Funk, Roberts, & Rude all put over the War Zone and talk about wanting to be the first one from their team in the ring so they can dish out the most damage! Funk talks about all three men but Savage is his target… he says that he may be a Savage but Funk is middle aged and crazy and he will be the one to drop him on his head and finish him for good! Roberts says that the American Dream has come and gone and he’s tired of the lies that Dusty Rhodes has told these fans… he’s tired of the false hope he’s given to the people and now it will come back to bite them and the bite will be deadly for the Dream. Rick Rude then pumps up the Warrior and says he can’t believe he crawled out from the beyond to come and get dealt with inside the cage. Rude is the World Champion for a reason and he’s going to wipe the ugly face dry of the Ultimate Warrior… give the Dream a Rude Awakening… and show Savage who the real Macho Man is! Rhodes, Savage, and Warrior… well… it is crazy…Warrior is just pacing back and forth… Rhodes says he’s got a bone to pick with everyone and he is going to pick each and every one of them one by one and he’s going to show them all that the power of the American Dream is the most powerful force in the world! Savage goes off about wanting Funk with the passion of 1,000 fires… Roberts is the one who will get Snake Bit and then Rude won’t have anything left when all is said and done to defend the WWF title and soon Savage will have it back!... Warrior makes it clear… he’s back for the title… he has walked through the desert for 60 days and nights… he bled, sweat, and prayed to the gods… they showed him the path to valhalla and it is through the War Zone!
  6. Raw July 29th Raw opens with a camera running in the back… we see a busted open Dusty Rhodes being held by the SST… then out of the shadows comes… JAKE ROBERTS?!?! Jake the Snake is here… he tells Rhodes that he did the stupidest thing in the world paying his fine… because the Snake is back and he’s here to end the American Dream forever! We cut to Jesse and Vince who put this over in a huge way. We find out that tonight we will see a big 20-man battle royal as the ring is beginning to fill. We will find out the two final competitors and they will face off next week with the winner going on to SummerSlam to take on the Great Muta for the Intercontinental Championship! Also tonight, The Great Muta teams with the Skyscrapers against the Michael Rotundo & The Twin Towers… and we were scheduled t see Dusty Rhodes and Randy Savage taking on the Samoan Swat Team… but now that Jake Roberts has shown up and put the boots to Rhodes… will he be able to continue? Let’s go to the ring as our 20-men are filling up! 20-man battle royal - last two will face off next week to go on to SummerSlam to face Muta! Tito Santana Koko Ware Z-Man Barbarian Warlord Bushwhacker Luke Bushwhacker Butch Honky Tonk Man Greg Valentine Curtis Hughes Kamala Jimmy Snuka Davey Boy Dino Bravo Earthquake Scott Steiner Jacques Rougeau Ray Rougeau Nikolai Volkoff Boris Zhukov A simple enough battle royal with a couple of storylines playing out. The biggest were the showdown from Kamala and Earthquake which brought the fans to their feet. This was only strengthened when Davey Boy eliminated both men much to the delight of the crowd but then fell prey to Dino Bravo who acted like he won the world title! The Rougeaus’ beat the hell out of Scott Steiner leading to his elimination. We hear that Rick Steiner may be on the shelf. The finishing moments see Dino, Tito, Valentine, and Koko go toe to toe. Dino and Valentine hit a double elimination on Koko but then try to double team on Tito before Santana fights back with a huge passion. Tito then hits the flying forearm on Dino and sends him flying out of the ring on the apron. Valentine comes with a huge elbow but Tito ducks and Valentine sends Bravo flying! The referee calls for the bell as Valentine and Tito are the two final competitors! Bravo is pissed outside the ring and now he’s going for Valentine! Honky, Earthquake, and Jimmy are out there to break it up! The Million Dollar Champion - Rick Martel defeated Tugboat in a fun little contest. Martel is really selling this gimmick and he’s got the fans just eating it up. Martel can’t get the Boston Crab on Tugboat but hits a nasty top rope dropkick on him that just destroys Tugboat’s nose and then Martel with the 3-count! Jim Duggan and Haku went one on one and it was a shit-show from the beginning to end. It ended up in a double count out and then we saw the Samoans come out and here comes Demolition… needless to say it was a fun segment for a brawl… but not much else! We see Mean Gene in the back with Randy Savage and he says he’s checked on Dusty and the Dream will be there tonight… he will team with Savage and now that the deck has been set… it is time for Randy Savage and Dusty Rhodes to pull out the trump card! They know about Rude, they know about Jake, they know about Funk but what those guys don’t know is who Savage and Rhodes have for a partner! We see Duggan and Demo show up and say they have got Savage’s back in case Haku and the others get involved! Muta & Skyscrapers w/ Paul E take on Rotundo & The Twin Towers w/ Slick in a six-man that gives the fans a great taste of what is going to be here with these six-men. The highlight is seeing Mean Mark in there… you can tell he’s got something special. Bossman is really coming into his own and looks amazing. Muta is head and shoulders above the rest. We see Mr. Hughes comes out and then we see Zeus get involved. Without the Midnights, the Dangerous Alliance is down on numbers but they still bring the fight. The finish sees the Skyscrapers and Towers battle outside the ring and then Muta with a nasty shining wizard on Rotundo for the 3-count! Then we see Zeus break loose and he starts beating the shit out of the Skyscrapers. Officials come out and break things up but Paul E looks scared for the first time… Zeus looks indestructible! We get a special Brother Love show in which The Giant Gonzalez comes out with Fuji and the Powers of Pain… nothing much… here comes Andre… the visual is still incredible… it is official that there will only be one giant at the end of the SummerSlam! Our main event had a little bit of everything… we saw Dusty Rhodes and Randy Savage take on the SST w/ Bobby Heenan. We saw Haku come out and join Heenan… we then saw Rude, Funk, and Jake Roberts come out and they got some serious heat. Demolition came out with Duggan to even the oddsish… the finish saw Savage get a huge backslide on Samu for the 3-count… then… First we had Funk, Jake, Rude, and Haku come in and begin the fight but Demolition and Duggan evened it up for a moment… then the lights went out. A familiar tune then hit the PA and it hit like a ton of bricks… lasers shoot throughout the arena and then the lights come back on and HERE COMES THE ULTIMATE WARRIOR! OMG! Warrior runs in and clears the Samoans… nails Samu… backdrops Jack… clotheslines Funk… then he picks up Rude and press slams him over the ropes onto the heels! The fans are going absolutely ape-shit right now as Warrior is working the crowd and then he helps up Savage and Rhodes… he grabs the microphone and lets the heels know… “COME SUMMERSLAM… WE’RE COMING FOR YOUUUUUU!!!!!!!”
  7. WrestleRock was an Incredible event. Hogan winning sets a stage that AWA could have only wished to ascend to IRL. Nikita is a guy I have got my eyes on right now... I feel like he's got a red rocket strapped to his back... but don't count out our good friend Mr. Hansen... there is a lot to be determined here... tune in folks!
  8. July 22nd WWF Raw Quick Raw recap - thanks to a camping trip… The Skyscrapers defeated Michael Rotundo and Curtis Hughes in a tag team encounter. We saw Zeus come down and hammer on the Skyscrapers but then Muta came out to even the odds. Here come the Twin Towers and the Dangerous Alliance has to retreat. Jesse and Vince put over how the Midnights haven’t been seen since the Rockers defeated them at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Who will the Dangerous Alliance bring in to even the odds? Davey Boy Smith & The Steiner Brothers defeated Dino Bravo and the Rougeau Brothers via DQ when Jacques and Raymond attempted to break Rick Steiner’s shoulder on the ringpost. We saw the paramedics come out and a big ruckus. Dusty Rhodes came out and gave a haliburton briefcase to Jack Tunney… but then Randy Savage came out and told Rhodes he had something to show him… The Samoans defeated the Bushwhackers and then Haku made them bow down… Duggan then came out and challenged the King Haku to a one on one match next week! The Rockers cut a good promo talking about winning the US tag titles back and how silver is sweet… but gold is sweeter… they put the challenge out to face Demolition at SummerSlam… they will give up the US tag titles to get their shot and if they don’t win they will go to the bottom of the tag team ranks and work their way back up! They leave the US tag titles with Jesse and go to the back… what could happen there?! Kamala w/ Mr. Fuji killed some jobbers… he threw them out of the ring to Giant Gonzalez who then punished them more! Tito Santana defeated Boris Zhukov with the flying forearm. Rick Rude cut a promo with Bobby Heenan but was interrupted by Dusty Rhodes and Randy Savage. The crux comes out to Savage and Dusty both being challengers for the title… but now the snake in the grass has come to light and it wasn’t one snake but two… Rhodes says to hit the footage… we see the King of the Ring match in which Dusty Rhodes was DDT’d by a masked man with curly black hair… everyone thinking it was Jake Roberts… however… there was special footage in the back in which Rick Rude was celebrating with the Heenan Family… and the masked man then took off his mask to reveal it was… TERRY FUNK! Funk has been in cahoots with Rude and Heenan the entire time and helped Rude win the title but also keep it when he went against Rhodes! Dusty and Savage corner Rude to tell him they don’t fight 2 on 1… but next week they will be here and it is going to be 2 on 2 and brother it is going to be fire! Jesse and Vince pump up next week… We’ll see a six-man with Muta and the Skyscrapers taking on Rotundo & The Twin Towers! Jim Duggan takes on King Haku! Rick Martel, the Million Dollar Champion will be here… plus a 20-man battle royal with the last two men earning a one on one match to decide who will go to SummerSlam to challenge the Intercontinental Champion. Demolition will be here to answer the challenge of the Rockers… finally, Dusty Rhodes and Randy Savage take on The Samoans! We’ll see you next week!
  9. WWF Presents: Saturday Night’s Main Event from Syracuse, New York! Brutus: Everyone saw me get a piece of your long locks on Monday night Raw… but tonight… Saturday Night’s Main Event… haha… I am coming for everything… your hair and your title! Rude: Promises, promises, Brutus Beefcake, you’re dreaming right now… if you think you’re going to touch this hair, you’ve got another thing coming. This is the WWF title. I am the WWF Champion. And You’re In for a Rude Awakening! Andre w/ Demolition: Tonight we put an end to Bobby Heenan and his family! That’s right tonight we set em up and DEMOLISH them all! Heenan w/ Haku & SST: It would take the colossal connection of the biggest athlete in the world, Andre the Giant, and the WWF tag team champions, Demolition to even put a chink on our armour… but tonight is not your night boys… you will all three bow to the King and the Royal Family! Rick Martel: A million dollar smile… a million dollar body… a million dollar belt… haha… I am the only man with such means and tonight Z-Man I am going to show you why everything I touch turns to gold! Sherri w/ MXE: Tonight my Midnight Express won’t need three falls…. Or two falls… they will just need one fall to tear you apart Rockers… tonight they rip you in half and don’t even give you a chance to smell these titles! Rockers: Tonight is the night, we’re going to Rock N Roll, Strut N Stroll… we’re coming like greased lightning and tonight is the spot when the lightning strikes and the world catches fire. The Rockers are coming for their US tag titles and there is nothing that can stop us! Vince and Jesse pump up this hugh night of action… we’ve got three titles on the line… we have heard that Randy Macho Man Savage will be here in the Brother Love show and what does he have to say about his attack on Terry Funk?!? Tonight Rick Rude defends against Brutus Beefcake who took a cut of his hair the other night… could he take more this evening? The US Tag Titles will be decided in two out of three falls… who does this give the advantage to? The champions could walk out with more than the gold tonight… or could the Rockers fulfill their destiny to win back the US tag titles but also send the Midnights on an express lane out of the WWF!? It is now time to head to the ring for our first title match… here we go! The Great Muta defended the Intercontinental Championship against Jimmy Snuka in a fun 8-minute contest. We saw Paul E get involved but Snuka gave him a headbutt that sent him flying into the barricade. We then saw the Big Bossman and Slick come down to the ring and they handcuffed Paul E to the railing while Muta continued to wrestle in the ring. A Green Myst to the face on Snuka led to his confusion and then a huge Shining Wizard from Muta for the 3-count. All the while, Paul E couldn’t get away from the guardrail! Jesse is standing by with Rick Rude who puts over his WWF title defense. He says that Brutus Beefcake is on the front of mind with nothing else being as important. Tonight he is going to end any hopes and dreams that Brutus has to be champion and even end his career tonight with the rudest of awakenings! We see a little clip of the Skyscrapers hauling the guardrail to the back with Paul E handcuffed to it! Mean Gene is standing by with Brutus Beefcake who lets the world know that he has got really Rude intentions for the Ravishing One tonight… it is going to be a night full of sleepless thoughts and dreams but Brutus is going to make sure that Rude wakes up a new man with a new look and no WWF Title! Rick Rude defeated Brutus Beefcake and defended the WWF Championship tonight due to a count out. Brutus was more than up for the challenge tonight and gave Rude a lot to handle but Bobby Heenan served as a great backup for Rude. Rude ends up kneeing Brutus in the back, outside the ring, and he floors into the barricade. This leads to the count out win and Rude celebrating until Brutus got back in the ring with the sheers and sent the champion packing! Jesse is standing by in the back with Rick Martel who says he wears the mask for protection against his million dollar looks. Jesse agrees and Martel says that tonight he is going to give Tom Zenk too much to handle and put an end to high hopes as an equal to Rick Martel! Rick Martel defeated Tom Zenk in a fun 11-minute contest. Zenk got some nice fast paced offense in… but it was Rick Martel hitting him in the face with the mask and then put it back on before locking in the Boston Crab for the submission! We’re in the ring and Brother Love brings out Randy Savage and Elizabeth. They put over the issue with Terry Funk. They talk about the problems with Rick Rude and the WWF title. Savage then says that he holds Brother Love responsible for a lot of this which draws a great pop from the crowd… but the promo is stopped when we see a video package play through the arena… It is Terry Funk and he is in the hospital with his arm in a bandage… he puts over how Savage burnt his arm which led to a staph infection… they had to do immediate surgery or Terry Funk could have lost his damn arm. Up until this moment Randy Savage, this has been business but now it is personal. I was out here just having some fun, promoting a movie, giving you a good challenge but this is war now. War is hell and the wrath of Terry Funk is going to wipe Randy Savage from the FACE OF THIS EARTH! Security and nurses come in as Funk is going nuts inside the hospital room. Mean Gene is with Andre and Demolition. They put over the six-man and Andre says he can't wait to crown the "King"! Andre the Giant & Demolition defeated King Haku and the Samoan Swat Team via DQ after it looked like Haku had pinned Smash. This was after an attack from Samu on Smash with the scepter and the referee called for the bell. The biggest moment happened after the match when the Giant Gonzalez went out to the ring with the Powers of Pain trying to hold him back… but Gonzalez came in and attacked Andre… well he chopped him a couple of times on his shoulders and then began choking him down. Fuji was screaming for Andre’s end! Demolition were attacked when trying to help. We saw the Powers of Pain and SST “trying” to get Gonzalez off but it was Jim Duggan and the 2x4 that stopped the action. The shot of Gonzalez being held back by the heels screaming towards Andre was a sight to behold! Jesse is with Sherri and the Midnights and they put over their complete dominance here in the WWF since they arrived. They said the titles will be re-done to have their names imprinted on them because they aren’t going anywhere! Gene is with The Rockers and they put over how no team can beat them twice in one night. It is going to be the brawl for it all tonight and only one team can survive and it will be the Rockers! In the first fall, it was the Rockers who set the stage going up 1-0 after a double superkick put Stan Lane down and out for the 3-count. This was a great 13-minute fall with these two teams balling out in the middle of the ring. In the second fall, it was the Midnight Express who evened up the odds 1-1 in the Texas Tornado match after 10-minutes. There was a lot of double teaming and underhanded tactics by the Midnights. In a pretty bad spot… Bobby Eaton flew off the apron and nailed Shawn Michaels into the guardrail throat first. This left Marty Jannetty to Stan Lane who was putting him through the ringer before Jannetty came back with a big superkick but didn’t see the nasty left hand of Bobby Eaton which set up the Rocket Launcher for the 3-count! The final fall is an elimination bout with the winners getting the US tag team titles. This fall lasted about 9-minutes with the first elimination coming after Marty Jannetty was tossed into the ring post and then Stan Lane put him out with a superkick of his own. Lane and Eaton then went to work on Shawn Michaels but this young stallion fought gallantly and eliminated Stan Lane with a backslide out of nowhere. The final fall was between Bobby Eaton and Shawn Michaels and they left everything in the ring. We saw an Alabama Jam and 2-count which shocked the crowd. We saw Eaton kick out of a diving elbow drop. The final moment saw Eaton go for another Alabama Jam but Michaels moves and then hits the ropes and nails a RUNNING SUPERKICK for the 3-count! The Rockers win the elimination match and the third fall to become the NEW United States Tag Team Champions! The crowd is going nuts for Shawn and Marty who earned those titles tonight. The Midnights even get some love from the crowd on their way out. Jesse and Vince put this through the roof… we’ll hear from Randy Savage when we come back! In the final segment… Randy Savage was with Mean Gene and Savage says that everything Funk does and says is a lie… he is tired of the lies… he is tired of the talk… it is time to settle this in the ring and it seems like SummerSlam is the best place for it to happen! We’ll see you at Monday Night Raw!
  10. July 15th WWF Raw Raw opens this week with Vince McMahon in the back and we’ve got a commotion with agents and officials breaking up a brawl between Funk and Savage… looks like it is a hangover from last week! We cut to Gorilla and Jesse who put over a big night of action including Demolition taking on the Midnight Express… plus Slick says he has got a special insurance policy for the Skyscrapers! We’ll also see the Giant Gonzalez in the ring against 3 men! Plus Brutus Beefcake takes on Samu… right now let’s head to the ring! Tito Santana defeated The Night Stalker with the flying forearm! We go over to Mean Gene who is standing by with Dusty Rhodes who is one again going on a tirade against Jake the Snake Roberts. He says that he was given word from Jack Tunney and WWF officials that Jake Roberts has a $50,000 fine that must be paid before he can be reinstated…. Dusty says he will crawl through glass and walk through the desert to get Jake Roberts in that ring and will do whatever it takes! The Giant Gonzalez w/ Mr. Fuji made his debut and beat the hell out of 3 ham and eggers. The Powers of Pain were out there to control him with Fuji. The Rockers are joining Mean Gene at ringside and they put over that they didn’t let the full cat out of the bag last week… it may be a 2 out of 3 falls match against the Midnight Express… but it’ll go like this… the first fall… a regular two on two tag team match, the second fall… will be a TEXAS TORNADO TAG TEAM MATCH! The third fall… if it gets there… will be an ELIMINATION TAG TEAM MATCH… the winners walk out with the US Tag titles… We’re back on Raw and Slick is in the ring with Brother Love and the Twin Towers. He’s pumping up the feud with the Skyscrapers… he says Paul E is nothing but a low rent fool and Sherri needs to find the Slickster if she wants a man who will treat her right… but now… Slick wants to introduce to the world… his insurance policy that will ASSURE that the Skyscrapers will never touch him again… ladies and germs… he stands 6’10”! He weighs 325 pounds! THIS IS ZEUS! We see this monster make his long awaited debut (I’ve had him for like 18-months). He looks like a million dollars and walks out and goes almost eye to eyeish with the One Man Gang and stands over the Bossman. He isn’t alone we also hear Slick put over his new team of Michael Rotundo and Curtis Hughes… they will be extra security for him but the main story is that of the big man… Zeus… he’s here… now in the back… we see Paul E with the Dangerous Alliance and Mean Gene! Paul E is standing by with Gene and he’s got The Midnights, Skyscrapers, Sherri, and Muta. He points out that Zeus may be one of the most destructive individuals in the history of professional wrestling… but this is not a business about destruction… it is about titles and money… right now… the titles are here in the Dangerous Alliance… Paul E says tonight the Midnights will wipe the floor with Demolition… at Saturday Night’s Main Event… Muta defends the IC title against Jimmy Snuka… but next week… right here on Raw… The Skyscrapers will be in the ring and he hopes Slick can bring something down to the ring because whomever he does won’t be walking back! Raw is back with Jesse and Gorilla putting over the debut of Gonzalez in the ring plus the debut of Zeus… we still have the tag title showdown… we’ll see Funk and Savage in the ring… but right now it is time for the WWF Championship number one contender… Brutus Beefcake taking on Samu! Brutus Beefcake defeated Samu w/ Bobby Heenan in a decent little contest. We saw Haku and Fatu get involved which led to Rick Rude coming out and beating the hell out of Beefcake all before Demolition and Hacksaw Duggan ran out and the brawl ensued. The highlight of the moment was seeing Rick Rude getting held by Demolition for Brutus to cut a piece of his hair off! The crowd went nuts… Rude was irate… is this a preview of what will happen at SNME?!? We’re back on Raw… Vince McMahon is in the right with officials and agents… he introduced Randy Savage and then Terry Funk. We get some good jaw jacking with Funk then coming out and saying he’s sorry. He’s sorry for costing Randy Savage the title. He’s sorry for showing the world the kind of weak champion that he was. Funk says he never meant to hurt Savage or make Elizabeth look like the jezebel that she is… that gets Savage hot and he comes over but officials stop him… Funk says he wants to shake Savage’s hand a bury the hatchet once and for all… he offers his hand but then Savage goes to shake it before Funk pulls him in and smacks him in the face! Savage nails Funk and he goes out of the ring… the officials are holding Savage back while Funk goes out of the ring and wait a minute… he lights up the damn branding iron! It’s on fire! Funk is bringing it in the ring and the officials and agents scatter before Savage and Funk throw hands… Funk swings the branding iron but Savage ducks and then atomic drop and Savage grabs the branding iron… Savage goes and plants it right into Funk’s arm and he goes nuts! The skin is smoking! The officials break them apart. The branding iron is on the mat smoking… Funk’s arm is bleeding…. This is pure chaos! In a thrilling encounter between the Midnight Express and Demolition, the two powerhouse tag teams battled it out in an epic match that went the distance, ending in a 30-minute draw. The crowd was on the edge of their seats as both teams showcased their skills and determination inside the ring. The Midnight Express, known for their technical prowess and cunning tactics, clashed with the brute force and dominance of Demolition. The match was a back-and-forth affair, with neither team willing to back down or give an inch to their opponents. As the clock ticked down, the intensity of the match reached a fever pitch. The Midnight Express utilized their speed and agility to outmaneuver the powerhouses of Demolition, while Demolition relied on their strength and unity as a team to keep the Midnight Express at bay. In the final moments of the match, both teams threw everything they had at each other, trading near falls and high-impact moves. Despite their best efforts, neither team could secure the victory within the time limit, resulting in a rare but exciting 30-minute draw. The audience erupted in applause, showing their appreciation for the incredible athleticism and tenacity displayed by both teams. The Midnight Express and Demolition left everything in the ring, proving why they are considered two of the top tag teams in professional wrestling. There was a sense of respect among the teams as Gorilla and Jesse put it through the roof before we fade out.
  11. "Sayama celebrates his victory after shaking hands with Maurice Smith, who earns a solid applause from the fans in attendance. Sayama thanks the fans for coming and promises to bring more Shooto events to them in the future! The WOWOW commentary crew recap the matches and seem quite excited by what Sayama has been developing behind the scenes at his gym. They do their usual sign-off with the rolling credits concluding the broadcast." This is a very fun part of the story to follow. Sayama has success here... can he grow that success? We'll see.
  12. July 8th WWF Raw Rockers & Midnights Raw opens this week with a recap of the King of the Ring - we see a quick still highlight video showcasing the matchups and then the big battle royal. We see Haku pulling out the victory before being crowned as the King of the Ring! We cut down to Gorilla and Jesse who are ringside putting over the big night of action including the coronation of the King of the Ring… Haku! Plus, we’ll see the US tag team champions, the Midnight Express taking on the Bushwhackers… the Twin Towers taking on the Steiners…. Rick Martel will debut his Million Dollar Championship against Maniac Matt and in our main event, Davey Boy Smith will be taking on The Honkytonk Man! Right now let’s head to the ring for our opening contest… Koko Ware & The Z-Man vs Michael Rotundo & Curtis Hughes A pretty basic opener… Koko and Zenk get the crowd going… Rotundo and Hughes get heat. They are in their suit and tie attire which gets some heat from the crowd. We see a slick finish when Koko comes off the top rope with a cross body and backs Hughes up and then they go over the top rope to the floor! Zenk can’t believe it but when he turns around Rotundo with a very low kick and then a Fisherman’s Suplex for the 3-count! Hughes and Rotundo with the win and the fans are giving them the business. We go to Mean Gene who is standing by with Dusty Rhodes and he goes on a tirade about Jake Roberts and says that enough is enough… the time has come for Roberts to pay his dues and Dusty wants him in the middle of the ring. This brings out Patterson and Brisco… along with Jack Tunney… they tell Rhodes that Roberts has been suspended indefinitely due to his actions and will not be a part of the WWF for the foreseeable future… Dusty follows them to the back pleading his case! US TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP The Bushwhackers vs The Midnight Express w/ Sherri Another decent tag team encounter. The antics of the Bushwhackers does draw the Express off their game… but Sherri does a great job in bringing them back in. This one goes about 12-minutes and we see Luke and Butch work but in the end it is the Express showing off why they may just be the best tag team in wrestling… Sherri is able to grab Luke which pulls him out of the ring and he goes over and starts licking her but this leaves Butch open to the Rocket Launcher and the 3-count! The US tag champions retain and Sherri gets a bath for good measure. We’re with Mean Gene who pulls up with the Rockers… Marty and Shawn both pretty fired up call out the Midnight Express and talk about challenging them at SNME. They said there’s a special little add on… and well they will let the cat out of the bag later on. We see our good friend Brother Love out here and he is talking up the Million Dollar Champion… that is of course Rick Martel! We then see him introduce him to the crowd and Martel comes out with the belt and works the fans. Maniac Matt is in the ring working the fans… looks to be in great shape… just as the bell is about to ring… Martel pulls out a damn mask! He’s got a mask on to protect his face! Maniac Matt Borne vs Rick Martel Martel is really working this gimmick… he’s got the belt and the fancy clothes but now the mask to make sure he keeps his good looks. Maniac Matt plays along and does what he can to get the mask off but Martel shows off his prowess and ends up nailing a nasty high knee right to the mush… then Martel locks in the Boston Crab for the submission! EVENT CENTER In the Event Center we hear about the big SNME show on the 20th of July. We will see the Midnight Express defend the US tag titles against the Rockers in a 2 out of 3 falls match… we’ll see Dino Bravo take on Davey Boy Smith… plus Ravishing Rick Rude will defend the WWF Championship against Brutus the Barber Beefcake. The Million Dollar Champion, Rick Martel puts his title on the line against his old partner, the Z-Man Tom Zenk! Andre the Giant will also team with Demolition to take on Haku and the Samoan Swat Team…. We’re told the Giant Gonzalez will be barred from ringside! The Steiner Brothers vs The Twin Towers w/ Slick Big time tag team contest with the Steiners starting to really take stride here in the WWF and they go toe to toe with the Towers even if they can’t go eye to eye. Scott Steiner has got rockstar written all over him… Rick takes no shit from anyone. Bossman is slimming down a little bit and looks great while the Gang has settled into his role of being a big bad dude. As things start to break loose… o.m.g… the Skyscrapers are here! Paul E brings out Spivey and Mark and they walk down and grab Slick! They are putting the beatdown on him outside the ring to the delight of the crowd! Bossman goes out to help and here comes the Gang. It is a brawl in the aisle way and the referee calls for the bell. The match is awarded to the Steiner Brothers, officials and agents have come out to break up this brawl… Haku’s Coronation What a moment for Haku… we see him walk out with the Samoan Swat Team leading him… Heenan right behind him… Rick Rude with the World Title in tow… in the ring we’ve got Dino, Valentine, The Rougeaus, The Powers of Pain, The Russians, Rotundo, Hughes, & Earthquake! We hear Heenan recite some poetry and Haku being the true King of the WWF In the ring, a warrior stands tall, Mighty Haku, ruler of them all. With strength unmatched, he reigns supreme, In the world of wrestling, a powerful dream. His grip like iron, his spirit untamed, Opponents tremble, feeling ashamed. A king in the ring, a legend so grand, Haku's power echoes across the land. From suplex to slam, he dominates the fight, A true wrestling monarch, shining bright. In the realm of the WWF, his crown gleams, Haku, the one true king of wrestling's dreams. May his legacy forever ring true, Haku, the ruler, we bow to you. Haku then gets the treatment on his way out of the ring on the sedan… but as he goes up the aisle… he is stopped… by Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Demolition! They tip over the SEDAN and King Haku goes flying! Here come the heels… Duggan and Demo work the fans… what a moment! We get a fun promo from Brutus Beefcake as he calls out Rick Rude and talks about challenging him for the WWF title at SNME! He says he can’t wait to cut and strut into the ring and then cut those ravishing locks before strutting out with the WWF title! Brother Love with another promo… here comes… can you believe it… Terry Funk! Funk goes on a tirade about how he has been wrongly accused of targeting Randy Savage… he says that he has simply been trying to help him… he even opens up an invitation for Savage go join him in the ring next week and shake hands to bury the hatchet! Davey Boy Smith vs The Honky Tonk Man w/ Jimmy Hart Davey Boy looks like a million dollars… Honky does a great job in putting him over and selling everything he does. Jimmy gets involved but only gets knocked to the floor for his pleasure! Honky gets some heat on Davey Boy but when he goes to Shake, Rattle, but Davey rolls through and then hoists him up for the POWERSLAM and the 3-count! Davey Boy puts on a show and he is without question on a skyrocket right now! Raw ends with Vince McMahon in the ring and here comes the Macho Man Randy Savage. The point is simple… he wants Terry Funk, one on one… he says he cost him the WWF title… the King of the Ring… he has gone too far and now Savage is going to go too far. Vince has to back Savage up a bit… he talks about Funk asking for a discussion next week… Savage says why wait!?!? Vince says we’re running out of time. Wait a minute… Funk… Funk is walking out but he’s being held back and that damned branding iron is on fire! What’s going to happen next week?!

  14. I love seeing Backlund in this setting - along with Shamrock - some guys I can get behind. I would have loved to see Karelin go legit MMA - could he have been beaten?
  15. WCW back on the block they never really left at the end of bad street. I have to go on a little bit of a run here with the Kerry Von Erich and Freebirds thing... I loved it. The Freebirds / Von Erichs is storied and so is Kerry v Flair so blending all of those stories together works really well. Kerry has a lot left in the tank and is a name of names who still stands out in this NWA landscape. I hope to see his rise all the way to the top without the eventual downfall we know will happen.

Next, the Twin Towers… Bossman and One Man Gang… you have looked over the heads of every competitor in your path but today… you look eye to eye with two men who scare you to death… down to your very core. Jack Tunney Announcement: Jack Tunney: I have a number of different situations to address here this evening and I am going to go through each of them and the rulings from the WWF board of directors. The first order of business was just brought to my attention. It appears as though The Rockers, Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty, lost the WWF United States Tag Team Championships. That match was not held at a WWF sanctioned event and thus I am accepting the title reign of the Midnight Express… however they will need to defend the titles next week against the Rockers on Superstars of Wrestling! Another topic that has come up is the event that was held on June the 3rd from the Nassau Coliseum. During that event, Jake Roberts came out of the crowd and delivered a DDT to Dusty Rhodes that has caused major head damage. Due this attack, Jake Roberts has been released from his preliminary contract. Roberts was supposed to join the WWF after some injuries but instead chose this course which will end up keeping him out of the WWF indefinitely. In addition to that beginning on July 1st, the WWF will be taking to the Road and presenting a weekly episodic television program called Monday Night Raw! Vince McMahon and Jesse Ventura will serve as hosts for the program while Gene Okerlund will conduct interviews along with special segments from the likes of Brother Love and others. Lastly, On June the 3rd, we saw WWF Champion, Randy Macho Man Savage lose the WWF Championship to Ravishing Rick Rude. There was a lot of controversy surrounding that match due to the interference of Terry Funk. After reviewing the tape and the contracts, the WWF will recognize the title change due in part to Terry Funk being an official during the match, thus his interference, while unwarranted, does not count as a disqualification. Rick Rude is the new WWF Champion and will need to defend the title against Randy Macho Man Savage on July 1sts inagural episode of RAW!! We will see you on July 1st for the inaugural episode of WWF RAW as we come to you from Meadowlands in New Jersey!
