He gets a good ovation from the Brantford crowd as many are surprised to see him. Gorilla and Bobby put over how he has come up to the WWF for the toughest competition and he is going to find it. we see him finish off Boone with a big side suplex for the 3 count. Dino is full on babyface here as he goes out and works the crowd. *COMMERCIAL* Ron Bass w/ Jack Lanza defeated Terry Daniels -Ron Bass is back in action tonight as we get an inset interview with Blackjack Mulligan who lets us know that he has got a big time right hand waiting for Ron Bass whenever he sees fit to give it to him! Tonight Bass is about as good as they come when he hits a huge Bulldog on Terry Daniels to finish him off. *COMMERCIAL* EVENT CENTER Mean Gene: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the WWF Event Center, I am Gene Okerlund. Fans we are one week away from two of the biggest nights in the WWF. First on Saturday the 16th, from East Rutherford, The WWF and NBC Present: THE MAIN EVENT! It is a special showcase show with the World Heavyweight Champion, Hulk Hogan set to do battle with Ace, Cowboy Bob Orton. Special added stipulations for this one… if Orton wins, he gets the WWF Championship… if Hogan wins, Orton must leave the WWF! On top of that, outside the ring, we will see Andre the Giant handcuffed to Rowdy Rodd Piper! A lot on the line in this one, lets hear from the competitors… Roddy Piper: You know a lot of people have been asking me… why Roddy… why would you accept this kind of match for the Ace? Well let me tell you something right now… this man right here… huh…. This man is one of the toughest competitors in the sport of professional wrestling. He is 6 foot 2 and 255 pounds of pure mean man. He comes from Kansas City, Kansas. He doesn’t sit out on the beach like Hulk Hogan, he fights in bars and goes to the gym. Let me tell you something Hulk Hogan… I have got all the faith in the world that this guy… Bob Orton… he is gonna do you wrong man. He is going to put you down and then ol Bobby decided he was going to give me his prize. HAHA! Andre the Giant, you wanna be handcuffed to me… well lemme tell you something pal… you don’t throw rocks at a man with a machine gun pal and big boy, you just try me one time and see if you don’t have to PAY THE PIPER! Hulk Hogan: Well you know something brother… when it comes to the WWF and NBC, it could only mean big things dude and it doesn’t get any bigger than the Hulkster defending the WWF Championship against Bob Orton in PRIMETIME! Lemme tell you something right now Bob Orton, you may have grown up double tough but you are looking at the man who is the biggest and the baddest dude to step into that ring. This WWF Championship says I can go toe to toe with the best of them and Ace… let’s just say I have got the ACE UP MY SLEEVE! (Enter Andre the Giant) This is the big man who is going to keep charge out there and make sure there is no tomfoolery dude. Andre The Giant: Roddy Piper…haha…you are going to have to pay the GIANT not the PIPER! HAHA! Hulk Hogan: AND WHATCHA GONNA DO WHEN THE BIGGEST MAN IN THE WORLD AND THE BIGGEST ARMS IN THE WORLD RUN WILD ON NBC ALL OVER YOU!! Mean Gene: You can tell Hulk Hogan is ready and so is Andre the Giant. The Main Event is set to be a spectacular broadcast coming to you on NBC at 9pm Eastern time. The next night, the WWF heads home to Madison Square Garden and on tap, one of the most anticipated tag team matches in recent history. Gino Hernandez returned to the WWF last week with the Mexican National Tag Team Titles and says he has got a partner who is coming with him to win the WWF Tag Team Championship. The British Bulldogs of course think otherwise. Also on that card, the return on the Macho Man Randy Savage, he is set to defend the Intercontinental Championship against Greg Valentine. Let’s hear from them on that contest. Greg Valentine: I am not some guy off the street Savage… I was born into this business and that Intercontinental Title has got my name written all over it! Jimmy Hart: That’s right baby… Randy Savage thinks that woman Elizabeth is going to keep him whole, well here is the Hammer to break you apart baby! Greg Valentine: And Savage… I have been waiting a long time to get my hands on some gold in the WWF and even longer just to see what you are made of! Randy Savage: I guess when you get a title around your waist you become a hunted man… and a hunted man is what I have become. It was only a week ago at the King of the Ring that I was poised to capture the crown and become the Macho King but just like THAT! BOOM! DDT! LIGHTS OUT! Jake Roberts… don’t think for a second that I have forgotten about that brother, don’t think for a second that I don’t remember the pain that went through my body. But like a snake in the grass… when it comes to attacking something that may not be full strength, here comes Jimmy Hart and Greg Valentine. Well let me tell you something right now Jimmy Hart… I know your game… I know your ticks… Valentine… the only hammer that is going to happen is me putting this elbow right through your chest DIG IT! You see this title Greg Valentine, it says MACHO MAN YEAH! It doesn’t say VALENTINE and it never will… no no… IT NEVER WELL! *COMMERCIAL* Tito Santana defeated Jeff Gaylord -A fun showcase for Santana who hits the flying forearm on Gaylord. We get a little promo from Jimmy Hart talking about how he has got Brutus and the Hammer poised to put the finishing touches on Tito when the time is right! *COMMERCIAL* Ivan & Nikita Koloff defeated Ken Raper & Bart Sawyer -The former tag team champions look to be getting right back on track tonight. We hear from Ivan who says that Nikita is going to be unleashed and what we’ve seen thus far is nothing in comparison to what he will do to anyone in his path. That must be bad, because tonight he hits Ken Raper with a Russian Sickle that almost breaks his neck… leading to a stretcher job… The Russian Nightmare is about to be unleashed!
  3. Yeah the whole 88 minute thing is definitely crazy but that is what you've got going in your promotion, so it fits. Surprised to see the Briscos on top on their way out. One would have to wonder if Jack would have retired earlier with all the snow in Canada
  4. Really enjoyed a minority condensed version of your product this week. You are giving us a quick description without going overboard and it is a smooth easy read. Good stuff as USWA is in a good direction.
  5. I second that... Lawler to the freelancers is good by me as a permanent move... adds more work for Edgar if he's up to it.
  6. I think if it went to draft... we'd probably throw Lawler and the RnR into it... but if people would prefer them as freelancers, I'd be cool with that. Whatever works best for the group.
  7. As someone who gave up Hercules, John Studd, & The Guerreros to the draft, I wouldn't mind having them all back, but I don't know if that would be "best for business" rather than just putting the entire list into a draft and doing a 5 round pick em to sort things outs. Perhaps round 1 is America only and then Round 2 we randomize it with Japan and Mexico involved. Something along those lines so they still have some dibs on top guys as there is plenty to go around with these rosters. At this point, we have the 47 roster cap... we could pop it up to 48 a month early to hold the draft on April 1st so everyone gets a "free pick" if you will and then you can fill out your roster with whatever spots you have left. Perhaps we could do something along the lines of "giving up" someone for the draft in order to get a 6th pick and so on if you want to do a total refresh. Those individuals would have to put put in at the beginning of the draft though and if they are not picked, they would become free agents. So say for instance I wanted to move Ron Bass and get someone different. I would add him to the draft in order to get an extra pick in the 6th round. Now if Bass was available, I could pick him up, but I would probably be using that pick on someone different. Does that make sense?
  8. In two weeks, if Larry doesn't pop back in, I move Lawler and the Rock N Roll become freelancers until April 1st? I think they are the top tier in terms of bookable talent for promotions right now. I think Lalwer as a freelancer for japan Mexico and us could be quite fun and evenjoy a team like the rnr to do the same would be a great element
  9. Oh no I'd still send guys no problem, I was just wondering what your stance would be on the matter with the entire Japanese market cornered.
  10. Would your need for gaijin be the same with such a loaded roster?? I like the jwa idea but right now no one is jumping up so well see how the next two months go.
  11. Hey everyone, I wanted to make a ruling in regards to these two promotions we have that are currently not active. I know we were hyped about the possibilities of Larry and Steve, but it appears as though we won't see them continue. What I want to do is put a timeline on this... on April 1st, we will put these rosters into a draft and move them around to permanent homes. Now with regards to Japan and Mexico, I am looking for ideas on how they could be a part of the draft while not fully holding control of some of the American talents. Now, over the next two months, if Larry or Steve do pop back up, we want to keep them in. If someone else shows interest and wants to take over a roster, we can go about it that way. If we have someone who wants to come in and run All Japan, lets do that. On April 1st, I just want to have those rosters put into "permanent" homes after such influx over the past year with that group of wrestlers. The draft would be randomized between those participating and not. Everyone would receive 2 picks, and then if you want more, you would have to put people up to draft in order to receive more picks. I can explain that a little more once we get to it for those who don't understand. Can this work or should we do it a different way?

  15. WWF Superstars Vince McMahon & Jesse the Body Ventura Matches from Hamburg, PA – The Fieldhouse Vince McMahon: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to a very special edition of WWF Superstars, I am Vince McMahon. Last night history was made in Los Angeles as a WWF King of the Ring was crowned. We will have updates from that event along with highlights from the 2/3 Falls tag team match and the big world heavyweight championship that ended with a lot of controversy. I want to first take a look at our opening round of action but before that… let’s talk about the major bombshell that Bobby Heenan had yesterday on Wrestling Challenge… let’s go to footage… Bobby Heenan: Let me tell all the humanoids out there something very quickly… as a man who prides himself on being the best, I always look for the best and the best is what I get. I spoke with the Barbarian the other day and even he has been dealing with some nagging injuries. This guy wrestles 7 days a week and twice on the weekends, it is bound to happen. Now I have my suspicions about who tried to hurt him… these masked guys… not sure who they are but I am going to figure it out… however… the real story is who is taking his place and I have found a man who epitomizes the sport of professional wrestling. He has been a champion everywhere he has wrestled. He is known throughout the world and he will be known here in the WWF as the King after tonight… ladies and gentlemen, and I use that term very loosely, HARLEY RACE!!! Harley Race: Don’t adjust your dial folks… what you see is reality. I spoke with Bobby Heenan and we have negotiated a contract that is fulfilling both of our needs. Number one… I am in the King of the Ring tonight and I will bet anything that I will win. Number two…. Once I win the King of the Ring, I am going to be the number one contender for that World’s Heavyweight Championship that Hulk Hogan carries around. You see right now Hogan it is just a belt, but when I get my hands on it, it becomes the real world title. I have beaten everyone in my path. I have destroyed careers. I have won titles. Tonight I win the King of the Ring and then… yes then Hulk Hogan… I am coming for you! ROUND 1 Randy Savage w/ Elizabeth defeated Bret Hart w/ Jimmy Hart Jake Roberts defeated Ron Bass w/ Jack Lanza Tito Santana vs Greg Valentine w/ Jimmy Hart went to a double DQ Harley Race w/ Bobby Heenan defeated Jay Youngblood *COMMERCIAL* -We see Bobby Heenan with Vince McMahon… Vince McMahon: Bobby Heenan, what in the world are you doing here? Heenan: McMahon… history was made last night and I am here to maybe let the humanoids know exactly what happened. Vince: We just saw highlights from the first round… of course your man, Harley Race was very effective. Heenan: Race is a former World’s Champion McMahon…. This guy has done it all everywhere he’s went. What he is going to do here in the WWF is going to set records and change everything. Vince: Well let’s take a look at the second round and what we saw… ROUND 2 Randy Savage w/ Elizabeth vs Jake Roberts -A very interesting matchup here as we see both Savage and Roberts get cheered by the crowd. Inside the ring, there is a 30-minute time limit and these guys go almost the full extent. We see the psychology of Roberts and the athleticism of Savage comes into play as these guys fight all over the ring and outside ring area. The finishing moments see Jake Roberts go for the DDT but Savage dumps him over his back. Savage goes to the top rope for the double axe handle smash but Roberts kicks him in the gut and then goes for a short arm clothesline but Savage ducks and pulls him over for a backslide and the 1…2…3!!! Savage is moving on! Savage is going to face Harley Race for the King of the Ring! *COMMERCIAL* Vince: Well fans, Bobby Heenan said he had business elsewhere for the time being but I want to take a moment and talk about the two out of three falls tag team championship match… let’s take a look at how it went down… WWF TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP 2 OUT OF 3 FALLS The British Bulldogs vs The Russians © The FIRST FALL was decided when the Russians doubled up and hit Davey Boy Smith with the Russian chain outside the ring and he was not able to make the 10-count. Russians up 1-0 The SECOND FALL was decided when the Dynamite Kid hit a superplex on Ivan Koloff while Davey Boy held Nikita’s leg from outside the ring. Tied 1-1 The FINAL FALL was decided when Ivan Koloff was holding Dynamite, and Nikita Koloff went for a Russian Sickle but Dynamite ducked and we saw Nikita take Ivan’s head off! Dynamite then tackled Nikita outside to the ring as Ivan got up and then fell prey to a huge powerslam by Davey Boy for the 1…..2…..3!! WE HAVE NEW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!! -We then see Gino Hernandez walk onto the set and he has got some title belt with him…. Vince: Now what in the world are you doing here? Gino Hernandez: Let me tell you something McMahon… I left 1984 without the gold but here I am in 1985 with another title around my shoulder and jack I have got plenty more space around this perfect 10 of a body. You see right here… this is one half of the Mexican National Tag Team Championship. Vince: Who is the other champion? Gino: That is for me to know and for you to find out McMahon. You see I am here right now to put a challenge out to the NEW Tag Team Champions, the British Bulldogs. On Sunday September 17th, I am coming to Madison Square Garden and brother I am bringing the best damn partner in wrestling. If the Bulldogs have got an inch of guts in their bodies they will show up and put the titles on the line. Vince: How about that fans… a challenge here from Gino Hernandez for the tag team champions… when we come back we will see the finals of the King of the Ring with Randy Savage taking on Harley Race… plus the World Championship match with Hulk Hogan defending against King Kong Bundy! *COMMERCIAL* FINALS Randy Savage w/ Elizabeth vs Harley Race w/ Bobby Heenan -An instant classic here tonight with Savage and Race leaving it all on the line. Harley’s WWF debut has not gone unnoticed and he is primed for something but, but not so fast as Randy Savage is here and he shows Race that the crown isn’t his! This one has a 1-hour time limit and these guys go about 32-minutes and you can tell Race has seen better days in terms of endurance, but his mental abilities are something special. We see Bobby Heenan continuing to try and get involved and even tries to put his hands on Elizabeth. This is causing a distraction for Savage but the crowd pops when Jake Roberts comes down to the ring! He comes out and pushes away Heenan as the fight is outside the ring. Race goes back in the ring while Savage goes over to Heenan and then Roberts and him shake hands. Harley Race is talking to the referee and then Roberts turns Savage around and DDT! OMG! ROBERTS DDTS SAVAGE OUTSIDE THE RING! Roberts yells at Elizabeth and then puts Savage in the ring and walks off. Harley Race goes over and picks up Savage and PILEDRIVER! 1…..2….3!! HARLEY RACE HAS WON THE KING OF THE RING! Heenan is going nuts right now! He goes and grabs the crown and hands it to Race who holds it high in the air! Vince: I suppose that you find nothing wrong with that Harley Race won that contest Bobby Heenan… Heenan: Please… if Savage didn’t have that jezebel down there… Vince: Bobby Heenan, you take that back… Heenan: I speak the truth McMahon and with her down that… that distracted Savage… Vince: How about Jake Roberts? Heenan: Well sounds like Savage has got a couple more enemies that he imagined…. Anyways… Harley Race is the King and we all know exactly what he has got planned…. Vince: We will hear more about that in a moment fans when we return! *COMMERCIAL* WWF CHAMPIONSHIP Hulk Hogan © vs King Kong Bundy w/ Bobby Heenan -A great way to cap off the evening with Hogan and Bundy going toe-to-toe for 18 solid minutes. Bundy really works over the ribs and back of Hogan and softens him up in a big way. The biggest moment of the match happens when we see Roddy Piper and Bob Orton come down to the ring! They speak with Heenan as we see Bundy looking to finish. He even throws Hogan out to the wolves and Piper and Orton get their shots in. They toss Hogan back in and it is Bundy who is looking to put the final nail in the coffin if you will as he nails the AVALANCHE IN THE CORNER! Heenan is screaming FIVE COUNT! FIVE COUNT! FIVE COUNT! Bundy hits ANOTHER AVALANCHE IN THE CORNER and Hogan is out and goes down. Here comes a BIG SPLASH and that may just be all she wrote as Bundy covers and Heenan continues to scream FIVE COUNT as we see 1….2…..3…4….KICK OUT! KICK OUT! Hogan kicks out and he HULKS UP! We see Piper, Orton, and Heenan get involved before they get hammered and go to the floor. Hogan then with a big running double axe handle smash and he BODYSLAMS BUNDY! Hogan with the LEG DROP for the 1….2….3!! HOGAN HAS WON IT! Bundy is going nuts but now Heenan is complaining to the referee that Bundy had a 3 count! It is pure insanity here at the King of the Ring as we see Hogan pose for the crowd to finish things off. Heenan: There it is McMahon… you saw it… Hogan was pinned! Vince: What I saw was you screaming 5 count and the referee followed your orders! Heenan: Why in the world would I want a five count when Bundy could have won it at 3? Vince: I think that is what most people are trying to figure out Heenan… Heenan: Well listen to me McMahon… that Chump Hogan… he is calling himself a champion and trust me when I saw he is NOT! You saw it right there… Bundy beat him… plain and simple… -Just then Hulk Hogan comes into the scene! Vince: Welcome in here WWF Champion Hulk Hogan!! Hulk Hogan: Vince McMahon… I am going to make this short and sweet brother. Bobby Heenan… you listen to me and you listen good… everyone saw Bundy pin me… but his hand wasn’t raised. I pinned Bundy and my hand was raised. Now if you want to call that into question brother, I have no problem answering the call. I heard someone say something about the 17th of February in Madison Square Garden… well Brother… I am going to be there and you can tell Bundy that I will meet him inside a 15-foot high steel cage and we can settle this thing once and for all! Heenan: It would be your funeral Hogan… but know this… it won’t be for the title… it is going to be around respect… King Harley Race has already said he is coming for the title and Hogan… you’d better be ready for what Bundy is going to do to you inside that CAGE! Vince: There you have it fans… what a night it was last night and what a show we’ve had here tonight… on the 17th, from Madison Square Garden… Hogan vs Bundy inside a cage and the tag title challenge from Hernandez to the British Bulldogs… we will have more on this next week!

  17. WWF Wrestling Challenge Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby The Brain Heenan in studio Matches from Hamburg, PA – The Fieldhouse Greg Valentine w/ Jimmy Hart defeated Johnny Rivera -A nice showcase for Valentine. We get an inset from Tito who says he is going to settle the score tonight with Valentine and win the King of the Ring!! *COMMERCIAL* KING OF THE RING EVENT CENTER Mean Gene: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the WWF Event Center, I am Gene Okerlund. Fans we are just hours away from the King of the Ring and it is going to be one of the most exciting WWF events of all time as we will see the top eight men in professional wrestling go after not only a crown and scepter but also the respect of everyone in the WWF. Before we get to the King of the Ring, I want to take a quick moment and talk about what happened last week on Superstars when we saw the debut of Blackjack Mulligan! Mulligan came to the aide of Sam Houston who was being beaten down and hurt by Ron Bass and Jack Lanza. Mulligan had these words for Bass… Blackjack Mulligan: Well lemme come right out and say it feels GOOD to be in the WWF and it feels even better to come out there and start a fight with a no good outlaw like Ron Bass. Bass you come out here and talk about being a true cowboy… well pal you must have fallen from your horse a couple times too many. Never before has a cowboy disrespected another like what you did last week. So now you walk out here with Jack Lanza, a man I know very very well and you act the way you act. You run down Sam Houston. Hell, I will take the courage of Sam Houston over anything the two of you have got combined! So Ron Bass… I am here… I am calling you out boy… one way or another… it is going to be time for us to take it out to the bunkhouse and see just who is the biggest and the baddest around! Mean Gene: I certainly wouldn’t want to be in Ron Bass’ shoes right now, but he does have a chance to show the world what he’s made of tonight in Los Angeles for the King of the Ring, but as we saw last week on Wrestling Challenge some people won’t get that chance. We saw the big battle royal for the final spot and in that battle royal; it was Larry Z who got shocked when Jay Youngblood dropkicked him over the top. Now, Larry Z has filed a full on complaint about the issue and says that it was David Sammartino, who did appear, that cost him the match and the spot… let’s hear from Larry… Larry Z: Now I know all you 9-5ers out there don’t know what it is like to live a life of luxury and be the best in the world at what you do, but you don’t understand what it feels like to have all of that taken away from you by a good for nothing punk who only has a job because of his daddy! David Sammartino, I am going to do to you what I did to your daddy a long time go and finish the job. You don’t belong in this sport. You don’t belong in the WWF. I came here for one thing and one thing only and that is the make sure that the Sammartino name goes down in disgrace as second best to Larry Z! Mean Gene: You have to say that Larry Z is definitely ready for a fight there. We will hear from Commissioner Sammartino next week and see what he has to say on the subject. Now we talked about Jay Youngblood getting his chance at the King of the Ring… however, his opponent, the Barbarian has been ruled out by his manager, Bobby Heenan. Heenan says that Barbarian is out, and he is about to tell us just who will take his place. Bobby Heenan: Let me tell all the humanoids out there something very quickly… as a man who prides himself on being the best, I always look for the best and the best is what I get. I spoke with the Barbarian the other day and even he has been dealing with some nagging injuries. This guy wrestles 7 days a week and twice on the weekends, it is bound to happen. This is going to be a historic evening and we will have all the outcomes right here on Superstars tomorrow fans! *COMMERCIAL* Bob Orton w/ Roddy Piper defeated Tony Zane -Heenan is just going nuts putting over Race but Gorilla wonders what will happen if Bundy wins tonight or even Piper down the line. Heenan says it doesn’t matter as long as the title isn’t around Hogan’s waist! Inside the ring, we see the Ace defeat Zane as Piper continues to run down Hogan to the fans. *COMMERCIAL* The British Bulldogs defeated Tony Falk & Terry Daniels -Tonight the Bulldogs get a real chance at glory when they face the Russians in a 2/3 Falls match. The crowd is one hundred percent behind them as they defeat Daniels and Falk today. What can they do against Ivan and Nikita tonight from Los Angeles? *COMMERCIAL* Tony Atlas vs Haku -A fun way to finish things off tonight as Heenan puts Haku over in the biggest way. We see a fun 8-minute match and the finish is great. Haku is looking to finish after he kicks Atlas in the throat. Atlas goes out of the ring and to the floor while Haku is talking to the referee. The referee then goes outside the ring to check on him while two masked men come out from under the ring and then hit a double clotheslines on Haku and a double suplex! Oblivious to all of this, the referee is able to help Tony Atlas to get back in the ring and make the cover for the victory. Heenan is going nuts about a conspiracy and wants to get to the bottom of this as we see Atlas try to recover and get a nice ovation from the fans. We finish the broadcast with a special hype video for tomorrows Superstars in which we will see the results of the King of the Ring!
  18. This could be arranged... I hear they had to flee Mexico due to threats and may have brought the titles with them!
  19. WWF NEWS -Word out of the WWF right now is that Sam Houston's time may be coming to an end. He was brought in as a favor for Jake Roberts but Houston isn't what the WWF is looking for, hence the arrival of Blackjack Mulligan. Mulligan fits the mold if you will and he has also been linked to the "machines" team that has been on house shows but yet to appear on television. -The call for the machines come from Japan as they have been prominent in New Japan and the WWF has decided to keep the gimmick going. -There is talk of about big card after this weekend's King of the Ring. The WWF will be hosting a televised event in cooperation with NBC called "The Main Event" and on that card, there is talk of a Piper vs Hogan or Orton vs Hogan World Title contest with Piper being involved in some way. This is being used as a way to promote "WrestleMania" which will be held on March the 31st, 1985, the next time the WWF tours the North East. No word on what "WrestleMania" is going to be yet, but there has already been talks of using Antonio Inoki on the show along with some other very big names. -The WWF is looking to bolster their tag team division in the coming months. With the Russians firmly at the top and the Bulldogs right behind them. Look for some more additions to the ranks as seen with the rise of the Youngbloods and the arrival of the Machines. -Speaking of tag teams, there is talk that Gino Hernandez may be headed back to the WWF after his time in Mexico is done... no word on if Chris Adams will be with him or not. - The Barbarian suffered an injury this week on the road, not sure if he will be good to go for the King of the Ring or if there will be a last minute replacement.

We see the Killer Bee with both me hitting flying shoulder blocks for the 1…2….3! *COMMERCIAL* Bob Orton Jr defeated SD Jones -The Ace, Cowboy Bob comes out with the Hot Rod. He handles SD with little to not problem and then hits the piledriver for the 3 count. We then have Piper get on the microphone and start to run down Hulk Hogan. He is running him through the ringer and just berating him with every word. Jesse just loves it up with every syllable. Piper says that if Hogan wasn’t such a coward, he would come out right now and face him… just then we hear the music hit and the crowd goes absolutely WILD! The problem is that who comes out… isn’t Hulk Hogan. It is some skinny guy impersonating Hogan. Piper is running him down and talking about the “gardener snakes” instead of pythons. Piper then asks Hogan to challenge him and the actor goes after him but Piper ducks and then he throws him to the ropes and hits the big boot followed by the leg drop. Piper rips his shirt off like Hogan and the crowd is just going nuts throwing things at him! *COMMERCIAL* KING OF THE RING EVENT CENTER Mean Gene: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the WWF Event Center, I am Gene Okerlund. Fans it was just last night that history was made… it was Jay Youngblood who walked into that huge King of the Ring battle royal and eliminated Larry Z to earn the spot of a lifetime at a chance to change his career forever… let’s hear from Youngblood… Jay Youngblood: I gotta tell you something man… I would have never guessed it. I have not had the best string of luck in the WWF but this… this is the moment that changes that for the future. I am looking to turn this win into a streak… a streak that could take me right to the King of the WWF! In my native culture, we don’t have kings and queens but rather chiefs and brother I don’t need a crown, I don’t need a scepter, all I need is the respect and the best way to get that is to earn it and I am going to do that in Los Angeles, so look out! Mean Gene: Looks like Youngblood is ready and rearing to go. He of course has to face the Barbarian … that is no easy task. Let’s take a look at the bracket one more time… First Round Randy Savage vs Bret Hart Jake Roberts vs Ron Bass Tito Santana vs Greg Valentine Jay Youngblood vs Barbarian Mean Gene: Also on that card we’re going to see the big two out of three falls match with the British Bulldogs taking on the Russians. It is going to be a huge contest and anything could happen. Plus we will see a big contest with Hulk Hogan defending the World Championship against King Kong Bundy. Hulk Hogan sent us this special video from Japan. Hulk Hogan: You know I have got my blood flowing man… it is going 1000 miles per hour right now in my veins. I am ready to just explode! On one hand, I got that big, ugly, ape King Kong Bundy. On the other hand, I got the Hot Scott, Roddy Piper. Brother I could go either way on it and if I could… I would put the both of them in the ring and be rid of the two of them with no questions asked dude. Let me first say this… King Kong Bundy. On February the 2nd, you and me brother, we are going to do the thing right there in Los Angeles brother. They call it the King of the Ring and there may be a crown, but brother right here is the crown jewel and there is no way I am giving it up. Roddy Piper… I think it is time that you and I have a little discussion brother. You wanna run me down, you want to run down the Hulkamaniacs, that’s where I draw the line brother. I think that next week, if you’ve got what it takes, I am going to be here on Superstars in living color and if you got what it takes, come on down and let me know what you think and WHATCHA GONNA DO WHEN HULKAMANIA RUNS WILD ON YOU!!! *COMMERCIAL* Sam Houston vs Ron Bass w/ Jack Lanza -A pretty nice little main event here with some name guys and a feud that has been brewing. The problem comes down to Ron Bass beating the living piss out of Sam Houston but Houston continues to fight back. He brings everything he has got and Vince and Jesse can’t believe it. The real problem is when Houston goes outside the ring and Jack Lanza NAILS HIM with a heavy right hand and busts Houston wide open! Bass pulls him back in the ring and just goes to town on his forehead. Sam continues to fight but really nothing doing and then we see a pair of brainbusters and Houston is barely able to move but continues to try and get up until Bass runs with a flying knee, right to his skull and that is it as the referee calls for the bell. Houston is out of it as Bass is still kicking him. Then we see Jack Lanza come in and do the same! Houston is in a bad way. Wait just a moment…. -BLACKJACK MULLIGAN RUNS DOWN TO THE RING! He gets in and pushes Bass and Lanza away. They back out of the ring and the big Blackjack is looking to throw hands but Bass things twice as he exits the ring. Vince and Jesse put this through the roof as we fade out!

Gorilla and Bobby try to figure him out but they talk about how there is really no rhyme or reason for his behavior but he can get it done in the ring with a nasty DDT for the 3 count. *COMMERCIAL* The Hart Foundation w/ Jimmy Hart defeated Steve Simpson & Terry Daniels -A glowing victory for Bret and the Anvil who continue to show they are at the top of their game. We see them hit the Hart Attack on Daniels and almost take his head off. Jimmy Hart has his men primed… could the Anvil earn a spot in the King of the Ring? We find out when we return. *COMMERCIAL* KING OF THE RING BATTLE ROYAL Tony Atlas, Larry Z, Brian Blair, Jim Brunzell, Brutus Beefcake, Jim Neidhart, SD Jones, Pez Whatley, Mark Youngblood, Jay Youngblood, and Conquistador I, II, & III -A fun battle royal with some stakes on the line here. We get to see a nice little feud between the Killer Bees and Beefcake and Neidhart start up. Tony Atlas looks like a man beast in there, tossing guys out right and left as we see this battle royal wain down. It comes down to Jay Youngblood, Tony Atlas, Larry Z, Brutus, and the Anvil. We get some fun back and forth before it comes to a big double clothesline by Atlas that takes Brutus and Neidhart to the floor! On the other side of the ring, Larry runs over and tosses Atlas! Jay Youngblood runs but Larry ducks and pulls the rope down and Youngblood goes over the top and Larry thinks he’ won it. He starts to strut around before we see David Sammartino run down to the ring with his head bandaged! He is screaming at Larry who gets up on the middle turnbuckle and starts to jaw jack with him. The problem with this is that Jay Youngblood gets back in the ring and runs and dropkicks Larry over the top to the floor! OH MY! Jay Youngblood has won it! He gets his spot in the King of the Ring and Larry Z is IRATE! Gorilla and Bobby can’t believe this as he says that the Barbarian is going to make minced meat with Youngblood next week!
