UNITED STATES WRESTLING ASSOCIATION
Fantastic event, but I have to say one small thing. Going back to the Mid South days, Ted Dibiase has always been just this close to actually going big time over at the Superdome. In fact, it was here a year ago that he lost to the JYD and had to leave the Territory only to come back and avenge the loss again. I guess my point is... this was a chance to really put Dibiase over... like in the biggest way possible and then set up him and Dusty. JYD doesn't need a title and is already going to be major over no matter what... but Dibiase has to get his due at some point and I think you may have missed that opportunity here. Especially with Reed in the match, there could have been a lot of to come out of this and some really great stuff for the future. Now that is just my two cents... in reality... the show is fantastic. Dibiase is still a star and can go on to face Dusty. Reed and JYD can still have a helluva feud and you can even do some tag teams. The Perfect Alliance and Von Erichs still have steam and you have got a star studded roster that still have a lot of weight to pull together some amazing cards. So long story short, my input is focused on one small detail... when in reality there is nothing "wrong" but rather just another way to go with an already solid card.

National Wrestling Alliance Press Release
Vince McMahon: I would like to take a moment and make a statement on the merger of Lutte International and the National Wrestling Alliance. While the WWF does not currently have association with the NWA, we have worked together in the past and I can see future projects working in both of our favors. I speak on behalf of Commissioner Bruno Sammartino and the WWF Board of Directors when I say that we wish Lutte International the absolute best of luck with their future endeavor with the NWA. As a sign of our gratitude, we will be holding a very special two-day event on December the 8th in Montreal at the Forum and December 9th in Toronto at Maple Leaf Gardens. This event will be a 16-tag team tournament for $50,000! There will be 8 teams from the WWF and 8 teams from Lutte. Also on the card, we will have a special main event of Rick Martel taking on Greg Valentine and then a WWF Heavyweight Championship match with Hulk Hogan taking on Ivan Koloff! Here is the current lineup of first round matches... Roddy Piper & Bob Orton vs The Wild Samoans The Zambuie Express vs Jack & Jerry Briscoe Mad Dog Lefebvre & Richard Charland vs Big John Studd & King Kong Bundy Jimmy Snuka & Andre the Giant vs The Barbarian & Jake Roberts The Rougeaus vs Haku & Tonga Krusher Kruschev & Nikita Koloff vs Hot Stuff Inc (Billy Robinson/Doug Somers) The Midnight Express vs The Hart Foundation The Sheepherders vs The Caribbean Connection Vince McMahon: We would also like to announce that the WWF will be back in Canada on February the 5th for our first television taping from the The Civic Centre in Brantford, Ontario, Canada! We will be touring major cities in southern Canada and northern New York and then running a show on Saturday from Montreal and Sunday from Toronto. Like I have stated before, we wish the best to Lutte International and the NWA and we look to end our relationship on a positive note with his huge joint showing in December.

WWF On Tour November 1984
WWF Superstars Vince McMahon & Jesse the Body Ventura Matches from St. Louis, MO – Kiel Auditorium {Superstars opens to the WWF offices where the “press” is standing by. Gene Okerlund is at the podium and he talks about one of the all time greats in professional wrestling. This is a man who is known around the world as one of the most prestigious champions of all times. He is a man who held the World Championship for over 7 years and he is the NEW Commissioner of the WWF… ladies and Gentlemen… Bruno Sammartino!} Bruno: It is great to be back with the WWF and I look forward to working with all these great competitors and standing firm as the commissioner. Everyone wants to know what that role is and I think I am going to learn as I go. I look forward to getting out there and watching the action and helping put things together. This is going to be a great journey and something that will change the WWF. {Bruno then answers questions from the “Press” on topics like Hulk Hogan, Nick Bockwinkel, Bobby Heenan, and the commitments to Japan. Bruno does say that he is in contact with both Hulk Hogan and Nick Bockwinkel to finally put together this match, and he knows that he must recognize the title of Nick Bockwinkel in order for it to go through but he says that Bock does have some ground to stand on, but it is going to crumble around him. He thanks everyone and puts over the big shows in Boston and Miami this weekend.} *COMMERCIAL* King Kong Bundy w/ Bobby Heenan defeated Rick McGraw -A good showcase for Bundy who looks to be an unstoppable monster right now. He hands Rick McGraw like nothing and gets the 5-count for good measure. We hear Vince and Jesse put over how Bundy and Studd have got the chance of a lifetime to become the NEW tag team champions when they face the Russians! *COMMERCIAL* {We get to see footage from the Funk attack on the Briscoes at Madison Square Garden. For the first time, we get to hear from Terry Funk and Dory Funk on the matter as they talk about their suspension…} Dory: You know there are a lot of people out there who have been calling us every name in the book. They have tried to chastise us for our actions but less they forget about the actions of the Briscoes no more than a year ago. They were the ones who broke my brothers arm in three different places and almost ended his career! Well let me tell you something Jack and Jerry… this is no longer just a feud… this is a BLOOD FEUD! This has to come to an end and it looks like the WWF just doesn’t have the mustard to put it together to finish things off! Terry: I am not going to come out here and call a horses ass a horses ass but Bruno Sammartino is the biggest horses ass I have ever seen! Bruno, you come in here flexing you muscle, well why don’t you show the world that you got a brain in that head of yours! We just want the match… give us the match… GIVE US THE DAMN MATCH! Dory: Now Terry may be a little big more animated than I am about the matter but nonetheless, we feel as though we have been cheated. It says that you should do onto others as they do onto you. Well we did a fraction of what they did and we have been kicked out for it. Let us make a promise right here and right now… we have talked to the lawyers… we have talked to the powers that be… and this is going to happen. Terry: Whether it happens in the ring, the courtroom, the parking lot, or the Double Cross Ranch in Amarillo, Texas… Briscoes you can run but you can’t hide. We are coming for ya and we are coming for REVENGE and to AVENGE the Funk name! *COMMERCIAL* The Guerreros defeated Dominic DeNucci, Bob Bradley, & Tony Garea -A good six-man showcase with the Guerreros this week. Vince and Jesse talk about the show in Houston next week in which the Russians will take on the Guerreros in a Six-Man Texas Death Match. Jesse says he has never seen anything like that before and is going to be a huge event. Chovo Guerrero with the Gory Special on DeNucci and that is all she wrote! *COMMERCIAL* Hulk Hogan & Big Fred Ottman vs The One Man Gang & The Barbarian w/ Kevin Sullivan -This one has been building for quite some time and we get the big blow off here, or so we think. It is Hogan and Big Fred really working well together but it is nothing special. We get to see the Gang and Barb showcase their skills but the highlight is seeing Hogan and the Gang in the ring together. They pull no punches and throw some big shots as the match begins to wear on. The final moments see Hogan with a huge bodyslam on the Barbarian and a leg drop for the 1…2…3 but that is nowhere near the end. Once again we see Sullivan and the Gang attack Hogan and then out of the back we see Nick Bockwinkel and Bobby Heenan run down with a briefcase and they NAIL HOGAN from behind! The Hulkster is down and possibly out right now as this is a brutal beat-down. We see Bockwinkel give Sullivan the briefcase and it is full of money! These guys are just tearing into Hogan as they have got Big Fred tied up in the ropes. The crowd then pops when BRUNO SAMMARTINO RUNS OUT TO THE RING! -The ring clears as Bruno comes down with his officials and agents! Bockwinkel is looking at him and Bruno tells him that he is outta here and so is the Gang! What does this mean?!? Jesse and Vince are going wild on commentary putting this over as Bruno is in charge and he is flexing his authority right here and right now!

UNITED STATES WRESTLING ASSOCIATION
Big time USWA stuff coming up with the Superdome on the horizon. I like the inclusion of the women as it is a legit difference maker in our world of wrestling. Don't quite know if it is main event material, but definitely something fun. A triple threat match in 1984 would be ground breaking... especially for the North American title... with Dibiase, Reed, and JYD... pure craziness.

Lutte Internationale November 1984
A lot of momentum for the Lutte/NWA push. You just automatically make all of these guys more legit even moreso then a slight WWF partnership. Look for Vince McMahon to hold a press conference on this whole matter in coming days.

This one also gets a little bit of time and we continue to see Bret Hart rise to the occasion. He and the Anvil are on a different level tonight and the Bees just can’t seem to catch up and before too long it is the Hart Attack and that is all she wrote. The Bees just couldn’t get it going tonight, probably thanks to Jimmy Hart’s shenanigans outside the ring. Gorilla and Bobby put over the big night tonight in Boston and the big main event tomorrow on Superstars with Hogan and Big Fred taking on the One Man Gang & Barbarian!- WWF On Tour November 1984
He had an agreement with New Japan to go and then once 85 rolled around they slowed down. However, in 1985, from January 1st through Feb 6th, he is in an unscheduled tour of Japan, but also has some US dates in there. It is all screwed up. I don't know how I am going to book him for the month of January, perhaps just have him off the road or have "taped" promos for him.- WWF On Tour November 1984
With Hogan in Japan, it is the only true BIG TIME main event I could come up with. The worst part is that in Hogan's Japanese tour, he gets "injured" the first match and then doesn't wrestle the whole time and is on a break.- 1984 Japanese Tour Dates

I think I have this updated with your requests.- The Project's General Discussion
Just a heads up for anyone who is interested, we had the Memphis Territory in the 1983 game open up and you'd have the Rock N Rolls, Lawler, Mantell, Dundee, and Landell along with a nice crop of some others to get going. Additionally, we have talked about opening up Japan. With the 1983 game we send the workers who were on tour to Japan but we never see what they do there... so if someone wanted to jump in and run a 1984 All Japan or New Japan you'd be more than welcome. Not trying to poach anyone, but like Grimmas did with us, just letting you guys know about an opportunity to do something similar in the 1983 project (even though we are about to approach 1984). PM Me if you'd like to discuss more.- 1983 Project General Chatter Thread
Gene officially dropped this weekend, which means Memphis is open. I think there are some guys in the 1995 game that could maybe pop over and we could open up Japan a little bit more with the tours to have our guys not just disappear for months at a time. Still no word from Boon.- Dirt Sheets
WWF NOTES -There was some tension at the most recent joint WWF & Lutte Shows. Vince McMahon is said to be pretty unhappy with the Lutte move to the NWA. This may cause McMahon to become more aggressive in his Canadian expansion. There are many in Lutte trying to keep McMahon happy with the agreement as the invasion of Toronto and Montreal could hurt the market. - Speaking of Toronto, this past weekend we saw AWA star Tito Santana on the show as he was a surprise entrant with Hulk Hogan's team. The AWA may not be too excited to hear how he was used in regards to a talent deal with Lutte. Word has it that the WWF has sent compensation to AWA for use of Santana on the show. - Terry Funk returned to the WWF last weekend in a big angle with the Briscoe Brothers. Everyone in the WWF has been waiting for Terry to pull the trigger on his return and it went over in a big way. Expect this to be a highlight feud for the next couple of months to cap it all off. - There is word that the WWF is looking to bring back Bruno Sammartino to be an authority figure and also do PR for the company. Bruno has been on and off with the WWF recently but has said to have some interest in the role but wants to bring David with him. Not sure what that would look like. - This may be one of the final tours for Hulk Hogan as Vince is trying to get complete control of his dates even with his Japanese commitments. This may bring up bigger issues with the Bulldogs and Andre in the future who also go to Japan quite regularly.- WWF On Tour November 1984

Not a problem Rain. I just posted my weekend results for the WWF. I have been slammed with work but I think I keep everything going with the quick results. Just keep doing work. If Boon or Gene aren't able to come back over the next Month... we may look to do a different kind of trade draft for their rosters... you would need to give up someone to draft someone and you wouldn't be able to put jobbers in, they would have to be legit roster spots for you. Something I am toying with to keep their rosters afloat in case someone else pops up. This would be separate from the Fresh Face draft. I will keep you guys posted.- WWF On Tour November 1984
WWF Superstars Vince McMahon & Jesse the Body Ventura Matches from Poughkeepsie, NY – Mid-Hudson Civic Center Randy Savage w/ Elizabeth defeated Tony Garea -Savage continues to look strong here as he is priming himself for another run at the IC Title. Jesse and Vince say that his next shot may be his last if he cannot take the title from Gino Hernandez! Masked Superstar defeated SD Jones -Masked Superstar continues to be relevant by defeating Jones. He is big and strong and someone not to be messed with. The Russians defeated Rick McGraw, Johnny Rodz, & Brady Boone -Some fun six-man action with the Russians jumping all over these guys. The real star is Nikita who rips McGraw’s head off with a Russian Sickle for the 1…2….3! -Footage was show from Terry Funk attacking the Briscoes the other night in MSG. We see the aftermath of the beat down and subsequent suspension of Terry and his brother Dory from the WWF for their actions. **However on Superstars we hear that the WWF Board of Directors is looking to put a commissioner in for the WWF as a leader and someone to call the shots. No Word on who that will be yet. Big Fred Ottman vs The Barbarian w/ Kevin Sullivan -A nice main event to continue the secondary feud of Hulk Hogan on television as his buddy, Big Fred takes on the Barbarian tonight. Before too long it turns into a down and out brawl as the One Man Gang comes out as they attempt to dismantle Big Fred before Hogan comes down to make the save. We get a special announcement that NEXT WEEK, we will see Hulk Hogan and Fred Ottman teaming up against The Barbarian and the One Man Gang right here on Superstars!!!- WWF On Tour November 1984

Los Guerreros vs The Russians Chavo, Hector, & Mando Guerrero vs Ivan Koloff, Nikita Koloff, & Krusher Kruschev SOLE SURVIVORS: Nikita Koloff *Nikita tore Mando’s head off his body. Chavo hit the Moonsault on Krusher Kruschev to a huge pop! Team Savage vs Gino’s Mercenaries Randy Savage, Afa, & Sika vs Gino Hernandez, One Man Gang, & Masked Superstar w/ Woman SOLE SURVIVORS: Randy Savage w/ Elizabeth *Savage came back from 3-1 and was last in the ring with Hernandez who fled after Savage tried to hit him with the flying elbow! The Samoan vs Roddy’s Rowdys Jimmy Snuka, Tonga Kid, & Haku vs Roddy Piper, Bob Orton, & Samu SOLE SURVIVORS: Roddy Piper *Piper got some MAJOR heat throughout the match and pinned Snuka with a hand full of tights. Briscoe & Bulldogs vs The Hart Foundation Jack Briscoe, Dynamite Kid, & Davey Boy Smith vs Dory Funk, Bret Hart, & Jim Neidhart SOLE SURVIVORS: The British Bulldogs *The Briscoes and Funk were pure chaos as loud chants of TERRY were heard but he was nowhere to be found. Can-Am Connection vs Heenan Family Tony Atlas, Jacques Rougeau, & Ray Rougeau vs Rick Rude, King Kong Bundy, & Hercules w/ Bobby Heenan SOLE SURVIVORS: Rick Rude & King Kong Bundy w/ Bobby Heenan *Rude and Heenan mended their differences and the team worked out quite well here. There was some miscommunication with the Rougeuas and Atlas but ultimately it was Bundy’s size that told this tale… Hulkamaniacs vs Heenan Family Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, & Tito Santana vs Nick Bockwinkel, Big John Studd, & Greg Valentine SOLE SURVIVORS: Hulk Hogan & Andre the Giant *Tito Santana and Greg Valentine were double dq when they fought out into the crowd! Bockwinkel ended up by himself with Andre and Hogan and endured a nice beat down before going down with the Leg Drop from Hogan!- WWF On Tour November 1984
WWF Wrestling Challenge Gorilla Monsoon & Bobby The Brain Heenan in studio Matches from Poughkeepsie, NY – Mid-Hudson Civic Center The Hart Foundation w/ Jimmy Hart defeated The Youngbloods -Good showcase for the Foundation who are firing on all cylinders right now. Bret is really progressing in the ring and the Anvil is pure power. -Footage was show from Terry Funk attacking the Briscoes the other night in MSG. We see the aftermath of the beat down and subsequent suspension of Terry and his brother Dory from the WWF for their actions. Tony Atlas defeated Dominic DeNucci -A good showing from Atlas who is getting bigger and stronger by the day. Bobby Heenan is pushing the Hercules feud big here. Jake Roberts w/ Kevin Sullivan defeated Barry Horowitz -Jake continues his dastardly ways through Horowitz this week. He is starting to get over with the fans even with the heat that Sullivan brings. Nick Bockwinkel w/ Bobby Heenan defeated Jim Brunzell -Bockwinkel is top notch here with his “REAL” World Title belt and Heenan is going nuts putting him over. Brunzell does a good job making Bock look like a million dollars but he doesn’t need to do much. Bock works the neck and finishes with a nice sleeper hold for the submission. He gloats around with the title belt asking about where’s Hogan? Where’s Hogan?- WWF On Tour November 1984
Brutus is going to have a similar run as someone else who would have arrived in the WWF in around 1986/1987. He may not be best suited for his role right now but something could change to make that better. - WWF On Tour November 1984
