Mid South Wrestling on Tour Jan. 1984
Power Pro Wrestling Sunday January 22nd Vince McMahon: Welcome ladies and gentlemen to Power Pro Wrestling. I am Vince McMahon and what a night we have planned for you this evening. We will see highlights from the big number one contender battle royal from Mid South Wrestling this past week. Plus we will see the Mid South Tag Team Champions in action. We will have words from the Junkyard Dog and Ted Dibiase, plus the announcement of two big matches to the card for the Superdome Extravaganza on February the 4th! Right now we have action from the double tough Russian… Boris Zhukov! Boris Zhukov defeated Victor Rivera -Vince and Ross put over Boris as a tough guy. It appears as though he is regaining some favor. Tonight he looks tough against Victor Rivera. Boris with some big offense and then a nasty bearhug into a slam for the 1…2….3! Boris works the crowd as Ross and McMahon put over how he will be in Krusher Kruschev’s corner this week on MSW when he takes on Hacksaw Duggan! *COMMERCIAL* -Power Pro returns with Vince putting over the big battle royal from MSW this week. He then turns his attention to a new tag team on the block. He puts over Rex and Spot… the Moondogs. They are two of the most unpredictable wrestlers in the world. He talks about the two of them being former tag team champions. He cuts to a video of them and then we cut to the ring…. The Moondogs defeated Dennis Stamp & Steve Lombardi -Rex and Spot aren’t in the best shape in the world, but neither are those bones they come to the ring with. They are mean and ruthless but they work the fans and there appear to be getting a little love. Vince and Ross put them over in a big way and we see an atomic drop by Rex as Spot runs with a big headbutt for the 1….2…3!! The Moondogs work the crowd and they may be on the something here…. *COMMERCIAL* -Power Pro returns with Vince McMahon running down the card for the Superdome Extravaganza on February the 4th… NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIP LOSER LEAVES TOWN FOR ONE YEAR The Junkyard Dog vs Ted Dibiase © MID SOUTH TELEVISION CHAMPIONSHIP Mr. Wrestling II © vs Scott Casey MID SOUTH TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP The Fantastics © vs Dick Murdoch & Adrian Adonis Andre the Giant vs The Executioner Wahoo McDaniel vs King Kong Bundy -Vince puts over the addition of the two matches of Andre vs the Executioner and Wahoo vs Bundy. He talks about the big feuds and says that Andre is filling in on a threat that Dibiase says no one can beat the Executioner one on one. He says that Andre will be in the arena this week on Mid South Wrestling and is said to have some words for Dibiase and the Executioner. Vince then puts over the Fantastics and their big contest with Murdoch and Adonis in the Superdome as we see them in action… The Fantastics defeated The Shadows -A nice showcase for The Fantastics as they go move for move with the Shadows. It is a fun little contest with Fulton and Rogers showing some tag team excellence as Ross and McMahon say they will be tough to beat when push comes to shove. The Shadows do alright but the Fantastics are able to finish it off with a Rocket Launcher for the 1…2…3!! Fulton and Rogers show the titles to the fans. They have got a showdown in the Superdome with Adonis and Murdoch… will they be able to keep the gold? *COMMERCIAL* -Power Pro is back and Vince is putting over the battle royal we are about to see. He they pumps up this week’s MSW and talks about a big one on one contest with Hacksaw Duggan taking on Krusher Kruschev, Bobby Fulton taking on Dick Murdoch. We’ll see a rematch of El Bracero and Jose Lothario taking on Rick Rude and Superstar Graham. McMahon then puts over how Ted Dibiase and the Junkyard Dog will be in the house along with Andre the Giant and the NWA World Heavyweight Champion… Ric Flair. It will be an episode of MSW you can’t afford to miss. He pumps the Battle Royal one more time as we see the clipped version of the match… MAIN EVENT WINNER GOES ON TO FACE FLAIR FOR THE NWA TITLE Hacksaw Duggan, Bruiser Brody, Krusher Kruschev, King Kong Bundy, Wahoo McDaniel, Masked Superstar, Tully Blanchard, Magnum TA, Executioner, Don Muraco -This one has been built up so much. The top ten guys in Mid South have the chance of a lifetime here tonight. Ross and Watts put this over for the fans and we see some great action. Early on, it is the Executioner and Brody just throwing some huge bombs with one another. Magnum TA and Tully Blanchard have really got some hatred for one another. Wahoo and Bundy finally lock up and it brings the crowd to their feet. Kruschev is almost like a mercenary, going around, helping and hitting when he needs. Hacksaw Duggan is trying to fight off Superstar and Muraco. We then see Wahoo and Bundy outside the ring fighting around a crowd of officials. On the other side of the ring… Magnum TA throws Tully Blanchard out but the referees are locked up with Wahoo and Bundy. Blanchard sneaks back in the ring and comes from behind Magnum and tosses him over the top by the officials and gloats. Brody comes from behind him and tosses him out! On the other side of the ring, Duggan with a huge double clothesline and out go Superstar and Muraco! It is dwindling down here with only four men remaining. Duggan and Brody taking on Kruschev and Executioner! We get a nice brawl with these four but Tully Blanchard isn’t done… Brody is close to the ropes and Blanchard pulls them down as the Executioner nails him with a huge boot and Brody goes over the top to the floor! It is down to three and Executioner and Krusher are doubling up on Duggan who ducks and comes with a big shoulder block on Krusher and he goes to the corner. Executioner is close and Duggan comes with a huge clothesline and Executioner is out. Here comes Krusher but Duggan ducks and tosses him over his back, over the ropes, and to the floor! DUGGAN HAS WON IT! DUGGAN HAS WON IT! The crowd erupts as JYD comes out to celebrate with him! Vince puts this over and says that Flair will be in the arena this week and Duggan will officially challenge him for the World Title this week on MSW!

1983 Project General Chatter Thread
After speaking with Patrick, it appears as though he will officially take over MACW effective today. He is working on his roster and we will post that on here and the deals that have gone through. I know he will be dropping some guys and picking some up from free agency in the switch. Once he gets that finalized, we can open up the Roster spots for the jobber packs. All you will need to do is simply say the four people your picking up... should be that simple.

Some good/bad news... The good... I want to congratulate Gene on promoting an awesome show in his home state of Alabama and his recent real life promotion at work. Seems like things in the real world are going great for him. The bad... Gene may not be able to stay on with MACW. With the real life running wild in good ways, the fantasy world may take a hit or go away for the time being. The good (again)... I have spoken to Patrick about taking over MACW. He would be in control of Ric Flair and the NWA title to start things out. Along with making some possible changes to the MACW roster... dropping some guys and picking up some free agents to get him going. (Which I am not opposed too... nothing major but just some cosmetic changes to suit his style). We will see how this develops over the next couple of days and make a ruling as soon as possible.

Proposal - Jobber Section
To devil your devil, why would a jobber be in such demand? If I have someone in my pack, if some one wants him, just ask. Easiest way to solve it.
-
Proposal - Jobber Section
It would need to be arranged with the companies for something like that. I mean, if I have a guy as a jobber or on my list he's under contract to me. If someone wants him, then they contact me to get him type deal.
-
Proposal - Jobber Section
I know my list would be interchangeable month to month... so if this passes... I am going to go ahead and pick up 4 more jobbers to go with Israel and Castro for my cycles. I don't think it needs to be complex enough to draft.
-
Proposal - Jobber Section
I think so. So if I were to go on the list and pick up one set of 3 (Ben Alexander, Bill Armstrong, & Brady Boone) My other set of 3 would be (Israel Matia, Raul Castro, and Frank Williams) Those two sets would essentially take Israel Matia and Raul Castro's "spots" on my 36 and count towards just jobbers.
-
Free Agency Wire
Dennis Stamp finished up his television tapings with Mid South last night and has been released. Tom Zenk has been picked up by Mid South.
-
Proposal - Jobber Section
Essentially yes... You just have some cases where a guy may be a job guy but you always want him around (Dennis Stamp) so he takes up a roster spot if you want.
-
Proposal - Jobber Section
Let's revisit this... so my proposal would be for our 35th and 36th spots to be "jobber pack" spots in which we would get three jobbers a piece for each of those sections. These Jobbers would be hired to come in for tv or live shows just for their purpose... to job. This way they don't take up too much space on the roster and you can designate two spots for 6 full time jobbers and if you have some guys who may be on the cusp of coming up, they can be in one of the other 1-34 spots. Long story short... Keep the cap at 36 for roster spots. Use the 35th and 36th spots for 3 man jobber packs as just talent who will be losing week in and week out. We can keep this going as we continue to do our +1 roster spots every couple of months.

Mid South Wrestling on Tour Jan. 1984
Mid South Wrestling is coming to you on its Fox Affiliates throughout Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. Action is coming to you tonight from the Civic Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Jim Ross: Welcome everyone to Mid South Wrestling! I am Jim Ross alongside Cowboy Bill Watts. Bill… tonight is perhaps one of the most important nights in Mid South. Tonight we will see a huge ten-man battle royal with the winner getting the chance of a lifetime against Ric Flair in the Superdome on February the 4th! Bill Watts: That’s right Jim. Tonight, you’ve got 10 double tough men who are going to leave it all in the ring. One man is going to be left standing. Ross: We know who the ten men are. We will see them in our main event tonight and without a doubt Bill… it is anyone’s ball game. Watts: I have got to agree with you there. These guys all have a chance and anyone could walk away with that shot and there’s a couple of these guys who could walk out with the chance to get that title from Ric Flair. Ross: Any man on any night has a chance to make something like that happen. We will see who walks away with the chance. Right now, we have action in the ring, the North American champion Ted Dibiase is in action! Rick McGraw vs Ted Dibiase -A nice little contest for Dibiase. He handles McGraw with little to no issue here. We see him work the neck and the knee. He nails the piledriver and then locks in the figure four and McGraw isn’t moving as PeeWee Anderson stops the contest! Dibiase works the crowd and says that the JYD is going to pay… the hard way! *COMMERCIAL* -MSW returns with Ross and Watts hyping the big battle royal coming up. All of a sudden, Scotty Casey walks out and he is hooting and hollering up a storm. He walks over and he’s screaming at Watts and Ross. He is talking about how his hair isn’t growing back, how he is blaming Wrestling II, and he is saying that he deserves a chance at the Television Championship. Wrestling II walks out to an eruption from the crowd. Wrestling II says he has no problem defending the title against Casey and says he will do it on the biggest stage in the Superdome and he will do more than just shave his head when this is all said and done… whatever that means…. Ross and Watts put it over and then cut to the ring for another contest… El Bracero & Jose Lothario vs Rick Rude & Superstar Graham -An interesting contest here. Bracero and Jose are really blending well as a team. We see Rude and Graham doing alright, but they are not on the same page in the middle of the contest and it leads to a huge miss-communication. Rude is holding Jose who breaks free before Superstar nails him with a big right hand, sending him out of the ring to the floor. Here comes El Bracero with a top rope cross body on Graham for the 1…2….3!! Bracero and Jose work the crowd. Rude however goes up to Graham and he is ripping into him something awful. He walks away as Graham is trying to figure out what’s going on. Ross and Watts are confused and wonder what this means… *COMMERCIAL* -MSW returns as Fulton and Rogers, the Mid South tag team champions are here. They work the crowd a little before talking about their next big match against Adonis and Murdoch in the Superdome. All four men put over just how dangerous Murdoch and Adonis are. They talk about the recent 30-minute time limit draw that they had. They asked Watts to give them 60-minutes in the Superdome and that may just not be long enough with these four men. They put over the battle royal and the big once in a lifetime chance to face Ric Flair for the title as we cut to the ring for our next matchup! ThunderBolt Patterson & S.D. Jones vs Adrian Adonis & Dick Murdoch - A pretty good contest with these four tonight. SD and Patterson compliment one another quite well and it works in their favor against one of the best tag teams in the world right now with Murdoch and Adonis, who are just a step ahead. Fulton and Rogers put this over in a big way and then we see Murdoch grab something out of his tights and it is a very tight shot to the through on SD Jones… Adonis grabs him for a DDT and the 1…2….3! Murdoch and Adonis have got the shot against the Fantastics… it is set in stone for the Superdome… now we get to find out who faces Flair? *COMMERCIAL* -MSW returns with Watts and Ross putting over the battle royal in the biggest way. They talk about the matches already signed… JYD vs Dibiase, Wrestling II vs Scott Casey, and The Fantastics vs Adonis & Murdoch. They talk about more matches being announced next week and then they talk about favorites for the battle royal. Ross says that Brody or Wahoo has the best chance… perhaps the Executioner. Watts wonders how Magnum TA will do and says that Blanchard could be the man to beat. They cut to the ring and it is time for this huge match! MAIN EVENT WINNER GOES ON TO FACE FLAIR FOR THE NWA TITLE Hacksaw Duggan, Bruiser Brody, Krusher Kruschev, King Kong Bundy, Wahoo McDaniel, Masked Superstar, Tully Blanchard, Magnum TA, Executioner, Don Muraco -This one has been built up so much. *COMMERCIAL* -The match returns and we see Wahoo and Bundy outside the ring fighting around a crowd of officials. Bill Watts joins them in the ring! -Watts puts over the big match and Duggan says he is going to bring that NWA title right here to Mid South. He says he is going to do whatever it takes to bring it to Flair. We then see Krusher and Boris come out. Krusher is saying Duggan cheated. Duggan says if he wants a fight he can come and get it! JYD puts over Duggan and says he is going to take that title from Flair and JYD is going to take it from that old dirty dog Ted Dibiase and send him packing for a year! Watts puts it over and says he is going to sign Duggan vs Krusher for next week right here on Mid South!

Dirt Sheets
- As fans in Amarillo and Lubbock Texas saw this weekend, Mid South Wrestling took its show on the road Sunday and Monday. The wrestlers have Tuesdays off to get back to television on Wednesday. Bill Watts sent Jim Ross and Joel Watts to oversee the production due to the recent issues that Watts had with Ross and his production of Power Pro. Speaking on Power Pro, Vince McMahon is said to have the full lead on the show at this point with Bill Watts underneath him, but having the final say. Bill Watts then runs MSW weekly with Vince, Jim Ross, and Joe Watts all serving as minor producers for the program. - Speaking of Power Pro, Watts was very happy with the second incarnation of the program. He is excited to see what Vince can do and the money that will be saved by having some matches before MSW weekly and then after as dark matches for the fans and taping them for Power Pro. -Bill Watts held meetings with television companies out of New York, Los Angeles, Boston, and Phoenix this past week. Vince McMahon was said to be instrumental in these meetings to try and get Mid South seen throughout the country. Watts isn't afraid to try anything once, but he could be grasping at straws to try and push this group of talent on that stage. - Gino Hernandez is said to be in the final stages of signing with Mid South Wrestling at this point. He is asking for a lighter schedule and more pay... some say he's worth it while others are wondering if his contract could be picked up by someone else in the coming weeks. Bill Watts is said to be taking calls on Hernandez as of this writing. - As seen this past week, Bill Watts has booked Ric Flair to defend the NWA World Championship in the Superdome on February 4th. There is going to be a big battle royal this week on MSW to see who will face Flair. Bruiser Brody is said to be the favorite.

I am still waiting to see video footage of JYD vs Michael Hayes from the Superdome in 1980, but I have had zero luck. I did see the angle leading to it when JYD was blinded but nothing after.

He is helping me with my developmental house show loop to kind of get his feet wet. His name's Patrick and he's awesome.
