  1. AWA is so excited they just jump spots to get POLISH POWER!
  2. Mid South is going to finish up the draft with Jose Lothario and officially drops the rest of the rounds. I am going to HIGHLY ENCOURAGE everyone to try and finish this by Sunday! That way we can start using these guys as soon as possible. A rule of thumb to follow, I currently have 28 of the 36 cap. Whomever doesn't get drafted from my roster will come back to me, and then I need to cut down to 36. For the NEW promotions, if there is someone you are hell bent on getting, draft them, but if you are just picking jobbers for jobbers sake, you can do that through free agency once the draft continues.
  3. I like that idea Dex... almost align it with the roster cap bumps to give everyone at least 1 free rookie and if they want more they will have to drop. So like April 1st, we would have a draft in which everyone from January through April would be available and then another in July. Now with bias, I am going to not be overly big on this idea as there is no hiding the fact that I will draft Gino Hernandez and instead of being able to use him in May, I know have to wait three more months and he's already on borrowed time which kind of stinks. But if it is best for the group, let's do work.
  4. Rick McGraw to mid south
  5. I appreciate the feedback guys. I think everyone has a good point on the drafts. Those of us int he draft just had our influx and as you can see from the fresh face lists... there definitely needs to be some research done to boost those numbers as there had to be more people who started off in some of those months. I don't think there needs to be a poll but this is an easy place to just put your opinion. I do think we move this draft to May and start it on May 1st. That gives those of us who just drafted time to maneuver people around and build that talent. Then we can draft in May and start the guys out in June. Then we could do the 85 draft in January of next year and keep that system in place as long as the project continues.
  6. I agree. I don't want people to get bogged down with too many people. If anything the 36 is great... perhaps some bigger names can be cut if they aren't doing work. We have to be willing to go that route.
  7. Let's add Owen and regal to the fresh face draft then...
  8. I will not be able to update tonight I am doing a broadcast for Wrestling I apologize. I will update asap
  9. No this would be a one time draft of all the 1984 rookies
  10. The only addendum would be for Stampede to move up, but with the way we put it, he would go to the back since he is the "newest" but he also got the first pick in the big draft so it kind of cancels it out.
  11. http://prowrestlingonly.com/index.php?/topic/32526-discussion-3-fresh-face-monthly-drafts/ I put it out for discussion. It was a way of removing the defunct promotions and moving people upwards.
  12. Mid-South - AWA - Southeastern - Big Time - Memphis - WWA - Florida – MACW - Stampede -
  13. I think if we did the draft it would have to be mid year though right? To kind of play off the ones who have started and the one who will start? I am game for either... I'd hope we'd keep the fresh face order that we just agreed upon as I just need to add MACW then Stampede to the list.
  14. This one should be done by the end of the weekend... Sunday that is. Then we can set up the January draft upon its completion... that one should go quicker. I will work on getting it set up as soon as this one concludes.
  15. I don't know... but I guess I am going to go with Eddie Hogan aka Brutus Beefcake... he doesn't quite fit my mold but I have got some ideas for him.
  16. I agree... just slipped my mind to put them in there from the get go. I didn't view them as part of a dispersal draft of all existing talents. That's on me.
  17. I just want to make sure someone didn't NOT get someone from free agency by throwing them in there so late as they weren't part of the start of the draft is all I meant.
  18. Actually the free agents were not part of this draft. They were not intended to be mixed with these talents but I have added that group to the list for those interested. S.D. Jones is returning to Mid South.
  19. Stampede is currently up and has about 12-minutes to pick as per the 12 hour rule for the remaining rounds. After those 12-minutes AWA is allowed to move forward and Stampede can jump back in with his two picks when he gets back on. For the rounds with just Stampede and MACW, following the order... one individual will actually two people per round... but with the snake order, MACW will pick two people then Stampede will pick two to finish that round and then two to start the next round and this process will go on until we conclude.
  20. The Japanese guys would be for will if he got back in for us to loan.
  21. That probably does it for the night. Stampede will pick when he gets back on. Would anyone be opposed to Stampede and MACW picking two people at a time for those last 10 rounds turning it into 5 so we can get back to business?
  22. I know that Boris Zhukov had that kind of affect on people!
  23. Scott Casey to Mid South
  24. This may be a formality but I wanted to address it to the population here. I know that there was a lot of resistance by others to have our rosters grow to the lengths that they have along with getting some bigger named talent like we have. I want to stress what our product is and how you have to take things into account when bringing in some of these new people. It may be difficult to just jump in and try and have a brand new roster for all intensive purposes but I want to give some help with it. For me... I have got three more shows before I go on "break" for December to the new year. I looked back at results from Mid South in real life. Most of you should have access to some kind of results from your various territories. I then looked at the people I have picked and decided which of them could jump into the promotion with little to no need of development. Guys like Duggan, Magnum TA, and Bundy are known in Mid South so they can be introduced a little easier than someone like John Studd. John Studd has up to this point in "real life" never wrestled in the Mid South area outside of the small stint that WCCW had. This is going to be an opportunity to try and build him as a character and spend time on it. My biggest fear for everyone is that you try to do too much too quick. We have already seen a ton of burnout for one reason or another. Long story short, this isn't an overly easy thing to do and to commit to and to be good at. The biggest thing to look at over the next three months is to look at all the individual with whom you have drafted and spend time bringing them in. I know for Mid South, I am going to have 2-3 months of television and house shows to start to get guys like the Moondogs and Zhukov introduced in Mid South at this point in their careers. Remember that this is a marathon and work well on the development of these characters and invest time in them to make them special. This is an AWESOME shot in the arm for the project to have this talent influx on our rosters... like I said, I just want to make sure everyone takes the time to build these characters and build your promotions. If all else fails... cut down on some of the "main" people and slow down with your roster and then build back up. Remember this is a territory system and utilizing new talent and developing talent is the key to success.
