  1. So good news, Beast has agreed to stay on as our resident adviser and draft overseer. He will be able to get us up to date lists of those needed to be drafted for fresh face monthly drafts along with randomizing orders and such.
  2. I agree. This is all a choice. I want to try and work on getting the other guys brought in and get this thing going over the course of the week. It would be amazing to have this all finished up within 2-3 weeks before Christmas but I am very optimistic.
  3. That works perfect then. If you don't take part in the draft, your roster would be fully intact with no issues and you could still get some pieces out of free agency with no concerns.
  4. For sure. I think even looking at someone like Blackjack Mulligan. I have him scheduled until the 17th and would like to continue that booking. If he's drafted, as we've done in the past, It hink it would be beneficial to keep that agreement going until he has finished his bookings with me.
  5. Also don't forget Rain, you could step in for 2 or 3 rounds of the draft and then bow out to not get too much but get what you want.
  6. I will try and work with Kris Z or even talk Beast into staying around as the draft master to unleash the lists and such... he could even randomize our draft order for the 6 monther if he was open.
  7. I agree with the 36 roster cap. Then we do a +1 every 3 months to cap out at 40 at the end of next year. In terms of the draft, I am cool with promotions sitting still. No reason to fix what isn't broken. You and Boon are from the looks of it going to be watching it unfold which is perfectly fine. I know I am taking part to hopefully get some fresh talent in the under part of the card. I agree with the 15 limit and while bloated rosters can be an issue, one has to remember that the cap is just a cap, not a minimum. Some rosters may only have 28 guys and there's nothing wrong with that. In terms of the draft roster... I think one thing to look at is the possibility of saving their first draft pick maybe? Then drafting but keeping those individuals who didn't get drafted specific to those rosters as starting points. I know one thing I thought of is if I were to draft someone from Stampede... I would then send one of my guys to Stampede after the draft was complete to even things out almost.
  8. I agree Dex and Rain. Good points. I think this one is good to go then on the inactivity rule unless someone opposes who is currently on the list of those inactives (Jesse or Boricua)
  9. Thanks for joining up Gene. Looking forward to your contributions here. Gene is 1 of the 4 hopeful newcomers to jump in and get going soon! I have updated the roster database from the last known point. Please let me know any changes that need to be made on there.

  11. I wouldn't worry too much about that in terms of holding off shows... we need more production now than ever. I know regardless of what we have going on, I have booking plans through December 17th and any kind of roster swaps and changes wouldn't be totally effective until after that date. When the draft approaches, it will be a week long at least so these changes wouldn't all have to take place until it was complete. One thing we need to look at is those in the NWA and the world title situation. If MACW did drop out, then Race is still the champion at this point and should be handled as such.
  12. I think the biggest thing right now for all active members is to take part in the discussion over on the game station. Those things were put up so that we could decide on what to do and will be optional for active promotions to take part in. Promotions that have been active, inactive will be closed unless somebody can come in and let us know what the report is for them. Obviously with the holiday weekend it is been difficult to get a hold of everyone however I'm working with a couple of new people and I've got at least two of them signed up with two more on the hopper. I'm trying to finalize all details with them before we get started they will choose Open promotions and be able to save at least 5 people from those and then redraft the rest. The idea behind that would be a change in ownership therefore causing people to move around. Again with the optional redraft those promotions that wish not to take part do not have the rosters changed at all those individuals taking part would get to say roughly 15 people from the promotion while the other ones would be put into a large mega draft with all individuals who are free agents at this point from an active promotions. I am fine with the roster cap however there has been discussion on raising that we can look at pumping it up to 36 for the draft and then raising it by one every 4 months putting it up to 40 at the end of 1984 going into 85 and then revisit.
  13. Regardless, the argument for argument's sake is pointless and unneeded. We can call out people for notations on how someone perceived the typing of a series of events but the fact of the matter is that there is still life here regardless of all the negativity that has clouded this since day one. Do we need rules? Yes. Are we moving towards that? Yes. Everyone has chimed in to tell us how much this suck here... I am willing to step in and try and try to fix things here. If it doesn't work... then it will be finished. It is a lot easier to criticize something instead of digging in and trying to fix it. I will try and put the time and effort in to capitalize on the potential that this has.
  14. I had the territory wars for 7 years and I stopped in May for one reason or another... regardless that's a good run with anywhere from 1 to 10 people writing at a time. Lots if good and bad times but you find a way through. Here, we just have to gain control of the purpose and figure out what is best. We are doing that. Of those three discussions I postrd, the redraft and promotion ones are big and the roster cap / draft order are minor. With these in place though, we have a lot more to build from and more foundational pieces.
  15. But that's what the reality is. Those of us still in are going to go off of what we have as a foundation and build. Sit back and watch it unfold.
  16. That's what we're doing. All will get worked out if parties are interested just takes discussion.
  17. Like I said, I am not big on you dropping as we've done some good work so far and there's more to be done in the future. I do think the game youre looking for will be here soon enough and the door is definitely open in my book.
  18. All the discussion posts are in the game station - word to the wise, you can't use - in your message titles... hence the first post having a dumb title. Let's get talking on there and see what we can do guys.
  19. Discussion #3 – New month drafts One of the concerns I had with the new month drafts was the order and individuals coming in and picking up someone else’ spot they took over for. This is the absolute worst time for me to bring it up but just something to put out there for discussion. WCCW - ASW - ICW - Mid-South - WWC - Stampede - AWA - Southeastern - Southwest - International - Big Time - Memphis - MACW - WWA - Florida - That’s the current list. Could it be possible to bump all those inactive rosters out of the list, moving everyone up who is active. Then as individuals join, they go to the bottom of the round. For instance, it would look like this for January… Mid-South - AWA - Southeastern - Big Time - Memphis - WWA - Florida – NEXT NEW PROMOTION Then if I pick in January, I go to the bottom to the top of the next round, but if an individual joins before we draft, he or she would take the number 9 spot. So the question is in regards to changing the order by which we draft for the monthly fresh faces.
  20. Discussion #2 – Rosters etc. This second discussion is to look at rosters. I know we discussed the idea of keeping inactive promotions full with a roster, and while that has helped a couple of the promotions, we do have some new blood and could look at a different idea. For those individuals involved, could we look at some changed with out rosters… A possible re-draft with exceptions. If a promotion is interested in this process, they would have 10 people (managers and wrestlers) on a keep list. We could pop out to 15 if it is a issue. Promotions DO NOT HAVE TO DO THIS. The rest of your roster would be added to the master list of every inactive rosters workers for a 10-15 round draft. We would keep the roster cap in affect. New promotions would start with the promotion of their choice and could we say 3-5 current members and then picking the rest from the draft and then free agency? The Roster cap The roster cap of 34 workers and 3 managers stays into affect. For those individuals that would like to expand, could we look at upping the worker cap by 1 every four months? The first bump wouldn’t happen until April 1st, then August 1st, then December 1st, to have 1984 end with us having a total roster cap of 37 workers and 3 managers? What do you guys think of the possibility of a re-draft for those interested and new promotions? What do we think of the roster cap moving every 4 months?
  21. Discussion # 1 – Inactive promotions - The first thing we need to look at is inactive promotions. Right now for active promotions we have AWA – Rain CWF – Superfan BigTime – Dexstar WWA – Jhawk Memphis – Kevin Southeastern – Boon Mid South – Low Blow We have a couple of bubble promotions World Class – Jesse WWC – El Boricua Mid Atlantic – Beast All Star – Wahoo’s leg We have promotions who have dropped Southwest Stampede ICW International Now those promotions have got rosters held for them right now. We have to make a call on the inactive and bubble promotions unless they speak up. I know Beast has had some reservations, but I am going to let him make his announcement if he goes that route (which I hope he doesn’t). Jesse, El, and Wahoo haven’t posted shows in quite some time, and while we have the frame of mind that they can “catch up” it is just not happening at this point. We have 4 people interested in coming in at this point and I am working with admin on getting them set up. Hopefully that process will be complete for each of those individuals to take over a promotion. The question at hand is what should we do with other bubble promotions. If someone hasn’t been active for an extended period of time (say 60 days as a frame of reference from Dex) is the promotion considered able to stay in? Now I know things happen and real life is tough, so could we look at 90 days of not posting a show? If an individual doesn’t post a show in 90 days, then the promotion is relinquished? What are our thoughts on that movement?
  22. As you guys can see, we've cleaned up the main pages. I have some discussion posts to look at, just putting the finishing touches on them. They will be in the game station.
  23. Thanks to Goc for erasing everyone's rosters in the thread he created... lots of class. Good thing I set up a data sheet with everything on it. Working right now on some clean up, updated coming soon.
