  1. Off to the races with this promotion and building things from the ground up. That's a pretty fun card for the $15,000 along with Tommy Rich continuing his dastardly ways. I am hopeful to see Brad rise to the top over his father here. That could be an angle btw... but in all reality this is great work to build so quick.
  2. JCP Main Event Episode 3 Washington DC 10/15 JCP opens this week with Jim Ross standing ringside with his partner this week, David Crockett. They are pumping up the tag title and world title tournaments that will start here this evening. We’ll also see and hear from other competitors tonight. Right now, let’s head to the ring for our opening contest! TAG TITLE TOURNAMENT The Hart Foundation vs The Freebirds A good 12-minute opener Terry Gordy is prime tonight and he works over Bret and Jim in a big way Hayes is a showman but the Hart Foundation don’t let him get too much going Anvil and Gordy really throw some big time blows at one another Just when it appears that Gordy and Hayes are going to put an end to the Harts, we see the excellence of execution come out of nowhere with a school boy on Hayes and a 3-count! The Hart Foundation gets the win and they move on! We get a fun little promo from Dusty Rhodes and Lex Luger who know they could end up against one another in the tournament but they are willing to put everything on the line to make it happen! WORLD TITLE TOURNAMENT Jim Duggan vs Honkytonk Man w/ Jimmy Hart The battle of the 2x4 vs the Guitar! These two do a decent job in there but it is ugly. Hacksaw is pretty over here and Honky has some pretty good heat going We see the Earthquake come out after Duggan nails Jimmy for getting involved Earthquake then tries his hand against Duggan before Hacksaw starts throwing big time rights and lefts with him! The crowd is going wild here as the referee calls for the bell Duggan has won via disqualification! Honkytonk man can’t believe it… so he grabs his guitar and NAILS Duggan on the back outside the ring Earthquake, Honky, and Jimmy make their way to the back. Jim Crockett comes out and we get the announcement that the Varsity Club has been withdrawn from the tournament. Tommy Rich and Ricky Morton have also been suspended for behavior outside the ring. This brings out Rick Steiner who says that Eddie Gilbert is nowhere to be found and he needs a partner. As Crockett talks… we see a lightbulb go off over Steiner’s head and he announces that his brother Scott will be his partner! We then hear Crockett announce that they will take on the team of Greg Valentine and Dino Bravo next week. We’ll also see another tournament match but the competitors will be announced next week! TAG TITLE TOURNAMENT Demolition vs The Twin Towers w/ Slick Talk about where’s the beef?!? These four men have to reinforce the ring and they get right to it This one begins as a tag team match but quickly falls apart The Towers continue to double team and this brings in Ax who nails Akeem with a huge clothesline Bossman turns and now they are going outside the ring The chaos has completely taken over and the referee is calling for the bell It is a double DQ and no team will move on! Arn Anderson and Barry Windham are out with Hennan putting over the Horsemen. Heenan then goes on a tirade against Andre the Giant! JR announces that Andre may in fact be here next week if Heenan wants to share words with him then… the weasel says he’s busy. WORLD TITLE TOURNAMENT Curt Hennig vs Ric Flair Save the best for last as they say This is a 1988 Curt Hennig v 1988 Ric Flair at their finest They go 19 of the 20 minutes Hennig shows that he belongs on the grand stage Flair proves he is still the man in this sport These two trade big time blows and just wear each other out The big moment happens when Hennig goes for a cross body but Flair ducks and Hennig gets caught in the ring ropes! His leg is caught and Flair goes to work on it The crowd is screaming for Hennig who is writhing in pain Flair then goes to work on the knee and for the final five minutes it doesn’t look like Hennig will be able to continue…. But he fights back! Hennig with a fire and he is coming with everything he’s got! The final minute tolls and we get into a great series of move for move Flair goes up top and then Hennig with the counter and tosses him into the middle of the ring! Hennig then comes and picks up Flair for a body slam! 20 seconds remain! Hennig is going for the Northern Lights Suplex but Flair trips the knee and pulls him down! Flair goes for the figure four but Hennig rolls through for a 2.9 count and Flair rolls through for the 3-count with seconds remaining in the match! What a finish… Flair looks at Hennig… Hennen is helping Flair up… Flair says something to him and Hennig looks on in disbelief. JR puts this over in a huge way as time has run out… we’ll see you next week!
  3. Windy City Wrestling #13 A pretty simple television show with some follow up from last night. We hear from Joe Pedicino that on October the 28th, we will have a 10-man CAGE MATCH unlike any other as Windy City comes to you live from McHenry, Illinois. The Untouchables will be without Paul Jones and will be going up against The Road Warriors, Scott Hall, Dan Spivey, and Bam Bam Bigelow. Lanny Poffo comes out though and he says that he is ready for a fight! Next week we’ll see these two in action! The Rockers and Rock N Roll Express had a pretty physical altercation with referees holding everyone apart. The Youngbloods got some help from Wild Bill Irwin after Black Bart tried to help Dutch and Jaggers! Scott Hall defeated Dick Slater in a solid main event match. Windy City Wrestling #14 Joe Pedicino comes out to announce the rules of this big 10-Man Massacre Cage Match from McHenry on October the 28th. One man from each team will start the contest… but then every two minutes… another man will come out from a RANDOM draw. It could end up being 5 on 1 in the first 10-minutes! The cage will surround the ringside area. The match will conclude when all 10-men have entered. Submission or Surrender is the only way to defeat your opponents! Anything goes inside the 10-Man Massacre Cage Match! Jim Garvin vs Lanny Poffo had a lot of heat… especially when Elizabeth came out with Lanny. These guys went 15-minutes and Poffo gave Garvin everything he had but it wasn’t enough. The Brainbuster spelt the end… then Garvin tried to do it one more time outside the ring but Savage came out of nowhere and nailed Garvin! Agents and officials were quick to run out and stop it. Savage’s head was heavily bandaged! Garvin got on the microphone to let Savage know he has beat him… he’s beat his brother… he is going to take his woman… and then he’s going to beat up his old man for the fun of it! Savage is being held back… he says that he can’t wrestle… he won’t be cleared… but in his place… he has found someone to fill it. Someone that Savage has been in wars with… someone who can step right in and shut your mouth Garvin…. RICKY THE DRAGON STEAMBOAT! Garvin turns around and Steamboat comes out with some huge chops and backs Garvin down! Garvin hits the road with Precious while Steamboat and Savage shake hands… this is going to be interesting. We got another showdown with the Rockers and Rock N Roll as they will go into McHenry in a tag team match. Wild Bill defeated Bobby Jaggers but it broke out into a six-man brawl. These six will do battle next week in McHenry The Main Event was special…. Crazy Scott Casey was finally successful in defeating the Barbarian for the Chicago Street Fight title! The match was all over the arena. Casey got a little bit of help from Dan Spivey who hit Barbarian with a chair coming out of the men’s bathroom… but Casey made the pin and won the title and the fans went absolutely nuts!
  4. I like the feel of all japan here. Keep it quick and simple. Make sure the big guys get their time. Keep up the solid work!

Dino Bravo, Greg Valentine, & Honky Tonk Man w/ Jimmy Hart defeated Lyle Johnson, Nate Perkins, & Tom Wright *COMMERCIAL* Curt Hennig defeated Mike Williams Out come the Horsemen. They cross glances with Curt Hennig as Ric Flair lets him know he isn’t going to take it light on him in the tournament. Arn and Barry cut quick promos about the possibility of facing one another and they both know that the stakes are high enough that the bond of the Horsemen will keep them together no matter what the outcome as long as the title ends up with one of the three of them. Ric Flair then goes on a tirade about how Jim Crockett and Dusty Rhodes have planned this whole thing to try and break up the Horsemen. They have planned this whole thing to keep the title out of Flair’s hands. Flair says that with Bobby Heenan… the Horsemen will be stronger than ever before and unbeatable inside and outside the ring. Heenan then gets on the mic to make the huge announcement… that the newest member of the Four Horsemen is….Andre the Giant! Andre the Giant is here and the crowd is going wild! The fans can’t believe the size of Andre as he towers over the rest of the Horsemen. Ross says it is a pleasure to see him. Andre then tries to talk before Heenan says that this is a new Andre… one that is more powerful than ever… one that is stronger than ever… one who will destroy anyone I say! Flair says that Andre is going to help him get the world title and take out everyone in his path! Andre then grabs the microphone… Andre: I am no Horsemen! I am my own man. I am tired of you controlling me. I am my own man! I will do what I want! The crowd pops huge as Andre walks away! Heenan grabs his arm but Andre pushes him back into the Horsemen. This couldn’t have gone worse for Heenan and the Horsemen. The crowd is chanting for Andre! What could this mean for the Giant in JCP? *COMMERCIAL* Hayes and Ross are back putting over the big announcement of the title tournaments. They put over the huge event of Andre the Giant pushing Bobby Heenan away and ot joining the Horsemen. Hayes says that he wanted to fight the Harts tonight but they’ll do it next week with the tag title tournament on the line. Tonight though… we get the see the Excellence of Execution… taking on Terry Bam Bam Gordy! MAIN EVENT Bret Hart vs Terry Gordy A solid main event that goes about 17-minutes. As we near the finish, Gordy seems to get the upper hand. He nails Bret with a big powerslam! Gordy then makes the sign for the Asiatic Spike but Bret ducks the spike Bret then pulls Gordy over in a crucifix pin for the 1….2….3!!! Bret gets the win and rolls out of the ring! Hayes is going nuts on commentary! Gordy is irate in the middle of the ring! Next week we’ll see these four in a tag team match along with Demolition taking on the Twin Towers. 7. October 7 - Davenport Koko B Ware vs the Moondog Good opener with Koko getting the crowd hot Moondog gets in some offense but nothing major Koko hits a couple of amazing dropkicks The finish is a dropkick off the top rope from Koko and Moondog is out for the 3-count The Battens vs Bad Company Tanaka and Diamond look like stars here The Battens put them over in the biggest way We get smooth tags and some nice double teams The finish is when we see the spinebuster/crossbody combo for the 3-count! The Renegade Warriors vs The Kansas Jayhawks Another solid contest with these four It really isn’t that good but these guys do okay for what they’ve got to offer. Dutch Mantell is trying to call the shots out there but the Renegades just don’t have what it takes Out of the back, we have got someone coming out… it is BLACK BART! Bart comes out of nowhere and he nails Mark Youngblood with a bullwhip Dutch then hits a brainbuster for a 3-count! We get some aftermath with Bart and the Jayhawks laying down a beating with some bullwhips This doesn’t come off well Rock N Roll Express vs The Nasty Boys 17-solid minutes of fast paced action The Nasties look to be building off their previous success The Rock N Roll seem like they are destined for something We see the Rockers come out but nothing major The finish is a big double dropkick on Sags for the 3-count The Conquistador vs Kamala w/ Akbar Kamala just beats the shit out of the Conquistador. There isn’t even a chance of offense… Kamala just destroys him The big splash is the beginning But the press slam over the top rope into the guardrail is the end A count out victory for Kamala….. What is next for this monster? Crazy Scott Casey & Wild Bill Irwin vs The Rockers The team of Wild Bill and Crazy Scott is fun… but nothing to contest the team of the Rockers Michaels and Jannetty are bad attitude to a T and they do everything they can to get some heat Casey takes a nasty bump outside the ring when they press slam him onto the guardrail A double superkick to Bill Irwin is all she wrote… The Rockers and Rock N Roll are on another collision course! Randy Savage w/ Elizabeth vs Jim Garvin w/ Precious This is one we’ve all been waiting for These guys go a solid 14-minutes and it has a little bit of everything Savage is able to get some primetime babyface love right off the bat as Garvin is still going at Liz Garvin gets some major heat working over the neck of Savage as he continues to go after Liz We see a little chaos out here and an awesome spot of Savage coming off the top rope to Garvin outside the ring with a double ax handle smash! Savage then goes up again… looks out to the fans… leaps but this time Garvin moves! Garvin slams Savage into the guard rail and Savage is hurt! The referee is trying to get involved but Garvin throws him to the ground Garvin then picks up Savage and BRAINBUSTER ON THE CONCRETE FLOOR! We see agents and officials run out and even Lanny Poffo runs down. This looks serious as Savage appears to be unconscious… Garvin is letting Liz have it and he is laughing at her as she cries for Savage. Fans are being held back from going after Garvin… my gosh what has happened here?!? We then get some elongated and special entrances as Mike McGuirk announces the 10-man teams. The crowd is going wild here as the Road Warriors get the biggest pop of the crew. Bam Bam, Spivey, Hall, & Road Warriors vs Race, Slater, Orton, Reed, & Barbarian The biggest match that Windy City could put on These guys go 38-minutes The highlights see the Road Warriors work over Orton and Slater Barbarian is showing his force against everyone in his path Butch Reed is another star in the making and he and Bam Bam put on a showcase and the crowd is wild Harley Race - the consignment pro - works the fans and his team and the babyfaces Race is able to slow down the pace only for the Road Warriors to try and come back to speed things up Scott Hall and Butch Reed get into a good series and now Hall is putting himself up as a top tier worker Dan Spivey may play the most important role here as he continues to push the pace for the babyface As we go into the final moments of the match… all hell has broken loose The Road Warriors end up hitting a doomsday device on Barbarian that sets off the explosion Outside the ring, Harley Race hits Scott Hall with a piledriver right on the concrete floor Spivey clotheslines Reed over the rail into the crowd The Road Warriors then take Orton and Slater out of the ring Spivey gets back in as he and Race are fighting Paul Jones tries to get involved and LOW BLOW on Spivey Race pulls Spivey up and PILEDRIVER! 1….2…..3!!!! The Untouchables win it! Bam Bam isn’t done though… he pulls Race back up and nails with some big rights and lefts and then throws Race over the top rope to the floor! Race is flanked by the Untouchables... but wait a second... Paul Jones... he is being held by the Road Warriors... Spivey is slow to his feet and then comes with a boot to the skull that knocks him smack dab out! Animal picks up Jones on his shoulder... wait a second... Hawk off the top with the Doomsday Device! Jones is laying motionless in the middle of the ring. The Untouchables won the battle but the war is far, far from over!
  8. PCW - Good to see Ron Simmons in a big spot there... you know a pro like Backlund could carry that match and it shows through. Barry Windham is someone to look at for 88 as to a bigger star in PCW. he has had a lot of success but like the true story of Barry Windham... what is his ceiling?
  9. So the world changed for Mid South but now it seems as though the world will collide. Jake and Dibiase is something that everyone will pay to see. I want to see how Lex Luger makes his way out of this situation. He in my opinion has the biggest target on his back with the title.
  10. AWA - Steamboat putting out some love for the fans on his way out. I also want to put over Rich and Lawler as the absolute Feud of the year. These guys have twisted and turned all over the country and blood has been spelt all along the way. It is a testament that you can put together that long term of booking and keep it going in a positive way.
  11. I always loved WCW television in the late 80s early 90s. Each show had its own feel. It hink you can continue to build on that with this roster. I am glad to see Haku/Tama doing well. Keep up the awesome consistent work!
  12. Simple, easy, fun, and chaotic. Twin States Wrestling has all the good feels. That Cage Match main event would set the standard for many to try and follow but come up short without question. Always good to set the pace of the promotion with the Armstrongs coming out strong.
  13. The wonderful women of wrestling continue to impress. Richter continues to be a strong champion. I liked that six-woman tag too. I think Medusa may have some tough competition in the coming weeks and it may not even come from the RED
  14. Windy City places The Nasty Boys and Dan Spivey on the block.
  15. I will just say it now... this roster is going to have some turnover... I have a thousand ideas for this crew and I am going to have to take some time to get it figured out.
  16. Heenan than says he has got a GIANT surprise for the 4th member who will be here NEXT WEEK! Anderson says that he has been television champion before and he will be again… he’s held that title with pride and respect and beat the best in the world for it. Windham says he has his eyes on all the prizes in JCP but knows that whichever one he wants he is going to get. Flair then goes wild putting over JCP and the formation of this great company. He talks about the world title and says all the naysayers… the Dusty Rhodes and Lex Lugers of the world are going to have to WALK THE AISLE one more time to face the Nature Boy. He talks about some of the newcomers to JCP and says that he is one minute away from slapping Randy Savage in the mouth whenever he shows up and planting a big kiss on Elizabeth! Luger looks to be in the best shape of his career Taylor is primed for something as he continues to be one of the top workers in the ring when it comes to move for move. Taylor gets a little bit of offense in… just to set the stage for Luger to come back and nail him with a couple of huge clotheslines Luger then with a big time press slam! Luger hoists Taylor up and here is the Torture Rack!! Taylor has no choice but to give up and Luger is our winner tonight. The final scene shows Dusty Rhodes and Lex Luger celebrating in the ring. 17. You know what happened in real life… so let’s take a look at another reality… What happened if… October 1988… On the verge of bankruptcy… Jim Crockett Promotions made a deal with multiple benefactors that led to Crockett not only leaving the NWA but also leaving Turner Broadcasting and moving out on its own. Crockett and Head Booker Dust Rhodes are unable to sign major talents Sting, Hawk & Animal the Road Warriors, Jim Cornette, & The Midnight Express. Additionally, Tully Blanchard left the company after a pay dispute from the 1987 Starrcade. In their exit… Rhodes and Crockett made a couple of monumental signings… which helped secure even more funds… First off was former WWF Champion, Randy Macho Man Savage. Savage has been hindered with an injured elbow but hopes to return to action soon. Also from the WWF… The One Man Gang signed with the tag team of Demolition. Demolition was picking up major momentum as the WWF tag team champions but with the influx of tag teams and the debut of the Road Warriors, the writing was on the wall for Demolition and they took their talents elsewhere. Another big tag team of Bret Hart and Jim Neidhart made the swap after their contracts expired and they wanted a different work schedule. Jimmy Hart negotiated for stars Honkytonk Man, Dino Bravo, and Greg Valentine to come to JCP after Jimmy got a special deal to make all the music for the company. The final piece of the puzzle was Andre the Giant! Andre, at the tail end of his career, has still wanted to be involved in the ring. His size is getting the best of him and the JCP schedule may prove to be a benefit. Bobby Heenan signed an exclusive deal with Crockett but no word on if he will be in the booth or as a manager. From the AWA… Curt Hennig signed with JCP after flirting with a run in the WWF. Along with Hennig, the Rockers, Marty Jannetty and Shawn Michaels made the move to help heighten the tag team division. Some newcomers to JCP… youngsters Sid Vicious and the Great Muta are looking to make a splash in the coming months heading into 1989. These new names join a veteran group of talent. Another youngster made his debut late in the Summer… Scott Steiner joined his brother Rick after the Varsity Club attacked him. Scott has done some work in the midwest but now called JCP his home and with his brother Rick, the Steiner Brothers appear to be a force in JCP! Returning to JCP… Big Bubba who now goes by the Big Bossman. He has been serving hard time throughout the summer and now comes with a vengeance. Many think he has got Dusty Rhodes back in his sights. Butch Reed has also returned to JCP and he has been teaming with Ron Simmons as of late. They have had a mysterious Woman with them at ringside… these two monsters spell doom for anyone in their path. Staying with JCP… tag teams including The Varsity Club, Steve Williams and Mike Rotundo signed with JCP and appear to be the top team in the promotion. Former United States Champion Lex Luger signed and may have claimed him to be the next and perhaps FIRST world champion in JCP. As noted earlier, Rick Steiner has signed on to stay with his brother Scott. Freebirds, Michael Hayes and Terry Gordy have resigned. Head Booker Dusty Rhodes continues to figure himself into the wrestling plans. Lastly, the crown jewel perhaps, Ric Flair. Flair resigned with JCP after turning down lucrative deals from the WWF, NWA, & newly founded WCW. Flair was able to help JCP secure television throughout the country and even get PPV markets. Flair will be joined by his Horsemen counterparts Arn Anderson and Barry windham. No word on who the 4th Horseman will be if they continue down that path. On the Horizon… JCP looks to run the following schedule… October - Chi Town Rumble. November - BattleBowl December - Saturday Night Showdown I January - WrestleWar February - Saturday Night Showdown II March - Bunkhouse Stampede April - Saturday Night Showdown III May -,Capital Combat June - Saturday Night Showdown IV July - Great American Bash August - Beach Blast September - Saturday Night Showdown V The following titles will be introduced in the coming weeks… JCP World Heavyweight Championship JCP United States Championship JCP North American Championship JCP Television Championship JCP World Tag Team Championship JCP US Tag Team Championship Television shows will be held in various arenas throughout the cities in the country including Charlotte - North Carolina, Roanoke - West Virginia, Washington DC, St. Louis - Missouri, Asheville - North Carolina, Baltimore - Maryland, Richmond - Virginia, Norfolk - Virginia, and Charleston - West Virginia. Look for JCP: Main Event to debut on CMT every Saturday from 7:05 - 8:35pm Eastern along with JCP: Power Hour on CBS affiliates Sunday mornings at 9:05am - 10:05am.
  18. Quick write ups for tv this week… Windy City Wrestling #11 A couple of good squash wins for the rock N Roll Express, Koko Ware, and Kamala. We also saw a great showdown between The Rockers and Renegade Warriors that ended with the Rockers cheating and getting the victory. In the main event, Randy Savage accompanied to the ring by Jim Garvin lost to Scott Hall when Garvin grabbed SAVAGE’S foot on “accident” Savage was rolled up and then exploded at Garvin but Garvin slow played everything… In other news, the Untouchables set the stage for the Quad City Showdown and said that Bam Bam and company won’t make it out alive. The Rock N Roll said they want another match with the Rockers and they will do anything to get their match. Windy City Wrestling #12 Another easy going show with Bam Bam getting some good momentum with a big win. We also saw the Road Warriors defeated Jaggers and Dutch in a glorified squash. The main event was Savage and Garvin vs Hall and Spivey. This is when it happened. Elizabeth was minding her own business outside the ring and then Garvin ran into her. He then started screaming at her at ringside and then Savage jumped through the ropes and attacked him! The crowd went wild as these two brawled all over the ringside area. Hall and Spivey won the fall but the fans won as they finally got to see Savage take it to Garvin!
  19. Shit - I need to be online more.

The referee is calling for the bell but it isn’t working Scott Casey grabs a cord to choke Knobbs' neck All hell has broken loose... Lanny Poffo vs Kamala w/ Akbar We saw Poffo almost get destroyed by Jim Garvin last week on television… tonight… well it is worse Kamala completely tears this guy apart We see the Ugandan Giant is in complete control and we get back to the old roots of Kamala The press slam over the top rope and Poffo nails the guardrail! Akbar turns him around and here comes Kamala with a big SPLASH! The referee makes the count and gets to 10 and Kamala is the winner as he is inside the ring slapping his belly! Patriot & Firebreaker vs Badd Company Diamond and Tanaka look like bonafide stars here with their presentation Patriot and Firebreaker continue to have a great look and have some decent in ring work This one goes about 8-minutes and we see both teams shine a bit The finish is pretty slick when we see Diamond pick up Firebreaker like a spinebuster and then Tanaka comes off with a cross body A nasty slam finishes things for a set up for a 3-count Badd Company look good… or badd… depending on how you see things! The Rock n Roll Express vs The Rockers Here we go… these four guys come out and the boots are laced up tight From the opening bell we can see tempers flare and no punches are being pulled These guys go almost 25-minutes and everyone gets a shot to shine A pair of head scissor takedowns from the Rock N Roll get the crowd going Michaels hits a crossbody onto the three others outside the ring and the crowd explodes Everyone is dripping sweat as they make their last run Ricky and Robert hit the ropes for a double dropkick but Michaels is outside the ring and pulls the ropes down and Robert goes flying Gibson gets up and Michaels with a superkick that knocks him over the guardrail to the crowd Morton then goes on the apron and runs and leaps with a dropkick on Michaels and he flies into the guardrail! Jannetty goes up to the top and then hits a big double ax handle smash! The referee has counted to 10 and it is a double count out These guys are being separated by the referees and agents and this one gave us a taste of what we could see… SPECIAL SIX-MAN CHALLENGE Bam Bam Bigelow & The Road Warriors vs The Ninjas (Green, Red, & Yellow) A big time showcase for Bigelow and the Road Warriors The Ninjas just bump around and take some nasty clotheslines This one is only about 4-minutes and it is the Doomsday Device on Green Ninja that spells the end. Bigelow and the Road Warriors celebrate… they have got the Untouchables in their sights! CHICAGO STREET FIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP The Barbarian vs Scott Hall First of our title matches gets a little crazy out there Hall isn’t quite the brawler but he brings a good fight to Barb Paul Jones isn’t helping matters out here as he continues to try and take shots at Hall when he is turning his back We then see some weapons come into play as a steel chair and trash can make their way into the ring Both men are able to get in some offense but the finish is pretty fun Hall gets some momentum and then he grabs Barb to put him up on top of the ropes… he is going for a fallaway slam off the middle rope but here comes Paul Jones and he just CRACKS Hall with his cane and breaks it over his back Hall falls back into the ring and this gives Barb a chance to hit a huge diving headbutt for the finish and 3-count. The Untouchables get away with one here… thanks to Jones. GATEWAY CHAMPIONSHIP Butch Reed vs Chris Adams A big fight feel here for Adams and Reed who go 20-minutes and hammer the hell out of each other from start to finish Reed’s power is on display but the speed and athleticism of Adams keeps him in the game Reed works on the knee and shoulder of Adams who is selling like there is no tomorrow Adams fights back with a couple of big shoulder strikes and euro uppercuts that knock the big Kansas City native back The big finish sees Reed go up top for a shoulder block but Adams ducks out of the way Adams then waits for a moment and SUPERKICK! He goes for the cover but Paul Jones gets on the apron… Adams looks at him and then SUPERKICKS Jones off the apron onto the floor Reed then comes and CLIPS the knee of Adams! Adams is writhing in pain… Reed turns him around for a nasty shoulder breaker and then a 3-count! Reed puts the Untouchables up 2-0 in title matches with two more to go! WINDY CITY TAG CHAMPIONSHIP Randy Savage & Jim Garvin vs Orton & Slater Here we go with what many thought would be match of the night These four go 23-minutes and the heat is definitely not waning… is it Savage who is getting some love from the crowd! Garvin is booed mercilessly Slater and Orton almost seem like an afterthought here with all the other happenings These guys put on a clinic though inside the ring with great work and good tagging The finish is pretty hot with Savage and Garvin almost looking to put the champs away before Orton and Slater go low on Savage We then see Garvin push Savage into the champs before falling out of the ring This sets up the spike piledriver and then 3-count on Savage and the crowd is shocked Garvin is screaming at Elizabeth outside the ring! The champs walk to the back… 3-0 for the Untouchables… Savage is slow to get up but you can see him look at Garvin who is letting Liz have it! Savage isn’t able to make it to the save before Garvin walks to the back ashamed of what has gone on. WINDY CITY CHAMPIONSHIP Harley Race vs Dan Spivey Main event… big time feel… title on the line… here we go! At one point… it seemed as though Spivey was going to be the man here in Windy City. He earned the big shot here and now it is time to see if he can pay it off Race is in the twilight of his career… but he has that little piece that keeps the match going Race is slow and methodical… he is calculated… and he makes everything count Spivey fights with a fire that is unmatched here in Windy City and it comes down to some real big time blows Both men wear each other down and some big spots line up a superb finish As time is wearing down… we see the Untouchables in the entryway coming towards the ring… but they aren’t alone as here comes Bam Bam, the Road Warriors, and Scott Hall and there’s a brawl in the aisle Officials and agents get them in the back just in time for Race to lock in a figure four leg lock The crowd is going wild here as Spivey is inching closer and closer to the ropes Spivey is able to turn the figure four over and he has broken free He limps up as Race comes at him but Spivey hits a huge BOOT right to the mush! Race is about to fall over when Spivey grabs him and then sets him up for a helicopter throw but that bastard Paul Jones pulls Race’s leg down He’s dropped something in the ring as Spivey grabs Jones and knocks him down and out Spivey limps back to Race who hits him with an uppercut that knocks Spivey senseless! Spivey is out on his feet as Race hits a belly to belly and then the pinfall! {The fans can’t believe it! Race has kept the title.
