Stampede Wrestling (1981)
I am interested in the long term plans for Dynamite. There's a couple of light heavyweights out there in free agency who could suit his style well and he could be utilized as the top guy in that division in the world if used right. I like the reveal of Bad News who was a legit contender in Stampede and he's got a lot of heat to get things going!

Maple Leaf Wrestling
You are seriously churning out some quality stuff day in and day out. I have said it before that I am big on Sweet Daddy Siki... I liked his style. I am doing a Greatest SNME match ever tournament and the absolute hate for Dino Bravo from 88-91 is on full effect... here though... he's a star in the making and someone I like to see utilized in that way!

Big Time Wrestling (Texas) 1981 (updated with results from 3/15 - 3/21)
Looking forward to Texas and what you've got going on West of Mid South!

Mid-Atlantic Wrestling
Once again... some serious star power on both shows. I have to ask... is Heenan with Bock and Duncum? I know they were part of his stable in the past... I just know he is such a major part of a promoton that he can make everyone that much better. I also like seeing Valentine pull double duty here... he is a workhorse for sure and I know he could pull it off and not lose a step.

Mid South Wrestling 1981
3/6 - Sat - Mid South Wrestling Television - Irish McNeil Boy’s Club in Shreveport, Louisiana {The Mid South video slams onto the screen with quick clips of all the top stars. We then cut to the ringside area where Boyd Pierce is standing by at the announcer’s booth!} BP: Welcome everyone to Mid South Wrestling! I am Boyd Pierce here on the Mid South Wrestling Network and fans. We've got tag team tournament action for you tonight along with the return of Dusty Rhodes and Dick Murdoch to Mid South Wrestling! Plus we’ll see a special six-man tag team match… the Grappler teams with the Super Destroyers to take on Mike George, Bob Armstrong, and Mr. Wrestling II! It is time to head to the ring for our opening contest! The Brisco Brothers defeated Carl Fergie & Rick McGraw via the Figure Four Leg Lock! The Briscos walk over to the booth and let it be known that they are here in the Mid South for more than just the Mid South tag titles but they have their sights set on the NWA tag team champions the Masked Superstar and Paul Jones! They talk about getting word that a bounty has been sent over on them to make sure they can’t challenge the tag team champions… then we see two men walk over… wait a second… That’s Bob Orton Jr. & Dave Schultz! They announce their presence in the Mid South and say they have come for a single purpose and that is to cash in on the $10,000 put on each of the Brisco’s heads… Jack and Jerry smile and say anytime… anywhere… but Orton and Schultz say that that they’ll have no clue when or how it is going to happen… but it will! *COMMERCIAL* Mid South is back with Boyd Pierce putting over the tag title tournament and we have our first match coming up in mere moments. Bill Watts joins him for commentary and puts over how there will be no bounties here in Mid South… he says there won’t be any sneak attacks or blind sides… so next week he’s booking the Briscos to take on Orton and Schultz! If they want a match… they got it! He says that the Superdome Card is coming together already with the finals of the tag title tournament plus we’ll see Ernie Ladd defend the Louisiana title, Bullet Bob will defend the Mississippi title, and the big North American title match with Wrestling II taking on The Grappler! They cut back to the tournament as we head to the ring... Junkyard Dog & Tommy Rich vs Ivan Koloff & Nikolai Volkoff -A really fun tag match with all four men getting some shine. Ivan can still go in there but he is a great heatseeker. We see him really get some hate from the crowd while Nikolai is all power. That power is matched though by the JYD but it is Tommy Rich who is the wild card and he turns it up like the Wildfire that he is! JYD with a big clothesline taking Ivan out of the ring before Tommy Rich hits the ropes and nails Nikolai with the Thesz Press for the 3-count and Rich and JYD are moving on! Watts and Pierce are putting over that big win for JYD and Tommy Rich before the Russians come over and scream foul but the crowd pops a little bit when Jim Garvin walks out… with Ron Garvin! Ron takes the microphone… Ron: Listen up and listen good boys… I’ve seen it the last couple of weeks… first Nikolai and then Ivan… you two wants to team up on Jimmy… well fellas two on one isn’t going to happen anymore. I called Jimmy after it happened once and he said he didn’t need any help… then I saw it last week and I said I couldn’t take it anymore… well you want a fight… you got the two of us… so just name the time and place! *COMMERCIAL* Watts and Pierce are back putting over Ron Garvin coming to Mid South and saying he’ll do whatever it takes to get that match booked. He puts over Bullet Bobs title win last week as we cut to our next matchup... Scott Casey vs the Incredible Hulk Hogan w/ Freddie Blassie -Hogan once against looks to be in amazing shape and Blassie is getting some great heat outside the ring. Hogan destroys Casey’s back before picking him up for the bear hug and shakes him around before SLAMMING HIM into the mat for the 3-count! Watts and Pierce continue to chat about the Superdome before Blassie and Hogan walk over and put themselves over. Blassie says that Hogan is the number one contender for every title in Mid South and could win the tag titles by himself if he had to! Watts laughs and says that he is good but he isn’t there yet before Hogan gets in his face and says he is putting the notice out… to all comers… to just try and stop him! Watts says we’ll see exactly what Hogan is made of soon enough! *COMMERCIAL* Watts and Pierce are back here on MSW as they put over the tag title tournament. They put over the win for JYD and Tommy Rich earlier in the night. That leads to Ernie Ladd coming out with the Samoans. He puts them over and says that anyone Watts puts in their way is going to go down and even Bill Watts himself needs to take notice! Ricky & Robert Gibson vs The Samoans -A solid showing for Ricky and Robert who throw a lot of speed at Afa and Sika but they just don’t have enough power to match them. Afa and Sika are pros out there and bide their time before taking the match over and using some double teaming to take these guys out. Robert gets kicked in the throat and goes down to the floor while Sika powerslams Ricky before Afa comes off the middle ropes with a big diving headbutt for the 3-count! The Samoans move on! Ladd is all smiles as he and Watts continue to have words before Bill Watts exclaims that in two weeks the Samoans have to face off against the JYD and Tommy Rich for a chance to go to the Superdome for the titles! Ladd goes quiet and just smiles before he takes his men to the back! *COMMERCIAL* Watts and Pierce continue to put over the Superdome show as they welcome in none other than Dirty Dick Murdoch and the American Dream Dusty Rhodes! Rhodes and Murdoch put over Mid South Wrestling as the top tier of professional wrestling. They talk about the tag titles being the premiere tag titles in wrestling and they plan on winning and defending those titles against any and all comers! They continue to chat as we cut to our next match... Dennis Stamp vs Bob Roop w/ Killer Khan & Kevin Sullivan -A solid contest for Bob Roop while Sullivan and Khan get some nice heat outside the ring. Rhodes and Murdoch run down Sullivan and his exiles while Roop gets the victory following a nasty shoulder breaker for the 3-count! Sullivan and his crew walk over to Rhodes and Murdoch and talk about how they are what is wrong with Mid South… and they will be just more pawns in the game of chess and when they fall so will the entire kingdom of Mid South Wrestling. Dusty and Dicky want to get in the ring and do it right now but Sullivan and his men back off… *COMMERCIAL* We’re back with MSW as Watts and Pierce put over all the big announcements from tonight’s card as we get ready for our main event. They welcome in Jose Lothario who will be teaming with Mike George next week in the tag title tournament. He says he is happy to be back in the Mid South and looks forward to challenging for the tag titles. It is time for our big six-man tag team main event... Mike George, Bob Armstrong & Wrestling II vs The Super Destroyers & The Grappler -What a way to cap off a great night of action. We get all six-men involved in this 15-minute main event. The Grappler is made to look very strong here and he shows off some skills. The Super Destroyers are also in pretty good shape but don’t slouch on George, Armstrong, and Wrestling II who build up a big course of momentum. As we approach the finish of the match we see the Destroyers take Wrestling II and Armstrong out of the ring but the Bullet isn’t done with them. Mike George then comes with a big dropkick sending Destroyer II out of the ring but when he turns around it is The Grappler with a NASTY LARIAT for the knock down and then 3-count to finish things off! The Grappler sneaks out with the Destroyers… they work the fans and Wrestling II takes notice... Next week on Mid South Wrestling! The Briscos vs Bob Orton & Dave Schultz Dusty Rhodes & Dick Murdoch vs Randy Rose & Dennis Condrey Mike George & Jose Lothario vs The Super Destroyers Plus Bill Watts will let everyone know what is in store for the Superdome on March the 27th!

Mid-Atlantic Wrestling
I would love to see 1980 Tenryu and Savage go 20 minutes... then Ole and Curt Hennig. I love Ken Patera and how you're using him. Piper vs Patera is a good feud and one I can get behind. Lasn't... Dick Slater continues to rule... lots of great cards here and fun matchups.

Stampede Wrestling (1981)
I agree with Dunk, that tag team angle and mix-match was fun to read. There's a lot going on and this seems like a promotion who can get away with some of these ideas and captivate the ideas of the fans. It was funny, I was thinking of a super gimmicky match last night but then stopped myself because I didn't think Watts would do it lol. Maybe with Dusty there he could get away with it. Am I right in thinking that the first ladder match was up in Stampede? This is an innovative promotion that is on the threshold of future styles. I love it.

Maple Leaf Wrestling
I've always wanted to see a little more from Dewey Robertson before he was the Missing Link. You've got a really good loop here with some top tier talent. I love John Studd and he's my guy for you from my point of view. I feel like he's going to be the top tier guy for this promotion and perhaps the game when he compares to other.
-
Mid-Atlantic Wrestling
I did well on my picks... I love Ken Patera at this point and he is such a monster... especially with Bobby Heenan. To say you're loaded would be an understatement. Both of those house shows are legit and worth the price of admission.

Mid South Wrestling 1981
2/27 - Sat - Mid South Wrestling Television - Irish McNeil Boy’s Club in Shreveport, Louisiana {The Mid South video slams onto the screen with quick clips of all the top stars. We then cut to the ringside area where Boyd Pierce is standing by at the announcer’s booth!} BP: Welcome everyone to the Mid South Wrestling Network for Mid South Wrestling from the Irish McNeil Boy’s Club. I am Boyd Pierce and what a night of action we’ve got. We all saw the return of the Samoans to Mid South last week with Ernie Ladd. I am told we’ll have an announcement about those events here this evening. Plus tonight we’ve got the return of the Incredible Hulk Hogan along with the Mississippi Title matchup with Bullet Bob Armstrong taking on the Grappler! Right now it is time to head to the ring! Jim Garvin vs Ivan Koloff w/ Nikolai Volkoff -A solid contest with Garvin putting forth a great effort but the numbers game once again goes against him Nikolai is getting involved and ends up grabbing Garvin’s foot only for him to turn around into a nasty Russian Sickle from Ivan Koloff for the 3-count! The Russians do a number on Jimmy before walking off to a chorus of boos! *COMMERCIAL* Mid South is back and here comes Bill Watts… he wants Ernie Ladd to come out and he does with the Samoans and the tag and Louisiana titles. Watts says he has spoken to the Championship Committee and Mid South has STRIPPED ERNIE LADD OF THE TAG TITLES! He says there will be a special eight team tournament with the finals being held in the Superdome in New Orleans on March the 27th! Ladd and the Samoan aren’t happy but Watts says that the Samoans are involved… here’s the bracket… Ricky & Robert Gibson vs The Samoans Junkyard Dog & Tommy Rich vs Ivan Koloff & Nikolai Volkoff The Super Destroyers vs Mike George & Jose Lothario Randy Rose & Dennis Condrey will be taking on… the special team of DICK MURDOCH AND DUSTY RHODES! Ladd is IRATE! Watts is all smiles as he walks off with the tag titles and Ladd is cursing at him with the Samoans as we cut to the ring… Ricky & Robert Gibson defeated Scott Casey & Dennis Stamp via the double dropkick! Before the commercial we cut to Boyd Pierce who is joined by the Midnight Express of Randy Rose & Dennis Condrey. They put over the tag title tournament and say that Dusty Rhodes and Dick Murdoch may be here next week but when it is time for the match it is going to be as easy as one, two, three for the Midnight Express! *COMMERCIAL* BP: Welcome back to Mid South fans… what an announcement by Cowboy Bill Watts about the Mid South tag team titles being on the line… Ernie Ladd is here… Ernie what do you think about this? EL: It is another instance in a long line of pure bad decision by Bill Watts. That man has gone off his rocker and whomever is on that championship committee… I want to see exactly what they were thinking! Dusty Rhodes and Dick Murdoch? You’ve got to be kidding me! Junkyard Dog & Tommy Rich are nothing but thieves! I am sick and tired of this blatant bias against me and everyone I am associated with and you can bet every single dollar that you got that my Samoans are going to walk out with the Mid South tag titles and there is nothing anyone is going to be able to do about it! BP: Well there you have it fans… right now it is time to head to the ring for another big contest… Brett Sawyer vs Killer Khan w/ Bob Roop & Kevin Sullivan -A pretty one sided affair here with Killer Khan just destroying Sawyer. We see him throw him around and then he hits the nasty Asian Spike to Sawyer’s throat followed by a nasty knee drop right to the throat for the 3-count! Sawyer is coughing up BLOOD while Roop, Sullivan, and Khan walk over to Boyd… BP: Kevin Sullivan… I see you’ve unleashed Killer Khan here tonight… Kevin Sullivan: This Boyd Pierce is just the beginning… I have spoken to Ernie Ladd and the Samoans… my exiles and myself have a common goal with them and that is to destroy the very foundations of Mid South Wrestling. You have seen an example of it right here but this is a taste… soon enough you’ll see everything we’ve got! *COMMERCIAL* BP: Welcome back fans… what a night thus far and now we have the return of 6’8”...315 pounds… the Incredible Hulk Hogan! Carl Fergie vs Hulk Hogan w/ Freddie Blassie -Another big time showcase for the Incredible Hulk Hogan who destroys Carl Fergie. He works over his back something awful and does a lot of flexing along the way. The big finish sees Hogan grab a bear hug and then shake Fergie before slamming him down for the 3-count! Hogan then works the crowd and flexes to no one's delight! Boyd is then joined by the JYD and Tommy Rich. They put over the return of Dusty Rhodes and Dick Murdoch and talk about the tag titles! They say that together… this force will handle anything that Ernie Ladd or Kevin Sullivan or Ivan Koloff or anyone else has to throw at them. Then we see Hulk Hogan come over and he is a towering figure as Blassie puts over how Hogan could beat any one of Mid South’s best right in the middle of the ring! He says that the JYD and Tommy Rich can run but they can’t hide! Before too long… they will have to come face to face with the Incredible Hulk Hogan and when they do they will fall! *COMMERCIAL* We’re back with Mid South and BP is putting over all the big announcements from tonight. He puts over the big tag title tournament matches next week and we will see Dusty Rhodes and Dick Murdoch here! Right now we have the Mississippi title on the line… let’s go to the ring! Mississippi Title Bob Armstrong vs The Grappler © -A great main event with Bullet Bob and the Grappler getting about 14-minutes to really put on a fun contest. The crowd is behind the Bullet and he gets the fans going for a couple of big comebacks but it is the Grappler who goes to every underhanded technique he can! The Grappler is looking to finish but Bullet Bob starts a big comeback and the crowd is going nuts! Here comes the Super Destroyers but Wrestling II and Mike George grab them from behind and the brawl is on. In the chaos we see the Grappler load up his boot and he nails Armstrong right in the head but he goes draped into the ropes! Randy Anderson is more worried about what’s going on outside the ring! The Grappler tries to get his attention before picking up Armstrong but celebrating for one second too long when Armstrong grabs him and pulls Grapplers head down for a JAWBREAKER… Armstrong slowly gets up and hits the ropes for a CROSS BODY and the 1...2….3!!! WE HAVE A NEW MISSISSIPPI CHAMPION! Wrestling II and Geroge get in the ring and celebrate with the Bullet while the Grappler can’t seem to get himself together outside the ring with the Destroyers! A lot of commotion here to end Mid South this week as Boyd Pierce puts over the title win for Bullet Bob! Next week, the Samoans take on the Gibsons… JYD and Tommy Rich take on The Russians… plus Dick Murdoch and Dusty Rhodes return to Mid South! We’ll see you next week fans!

Big Time Wrestling (Texas) 1981 (updated with results from 3/15 - 3/21)
A ton of fun cards....I like all the tag matches and I always marked out for Brody and Kerry... such a fun mega team. I am hoping to see more from Gino and Tully along the way. Also going to be interesting to see where David and Kevin fit in the scheme of everything. I don't know as much about the Von Erichs at this point in 1980 so its fun to see how you're using them.
-
Mid-Atlantic Wrestling
I am going to go with Patera, Flair/Valentine, and Slaughter as champions with this big card. Interesting to see Piper in this role and also the greatness of Bock vs Steamboat... that would be amazing!
-
Stampede Wrestling (1981)
I have such a hard time believing in Bruce... but I know he has value in this part of the world. I am also a huge fan of the 2/3 falls tag matches... this will be a staple in Mid South as well. Great shows!

Mid South Wrestling 1981
It's crazy to go and watch the tv from around this time... so much star power for Mid South and they just continued to give it away on tv while their house shows would maybe have 2 bit time matches and some real shit on the undercard.

This is the North American title… it belongs to me! This is the Mississippi championship… it belongs to me! Bill Watts… I want the respect I deserve damnit! BW: Calm down here Grappler… I see you got your flunkies out here… listen pal… I guess I will let the cat out of the bag a little bit… You see next week we’re going to continue our little title run and that Mississippi title is going to be on the line when you take on… this man right here… BULLET BOB ARMSTRONG {Here comes the Bullet and the crowd pops for the Southern native… Grappler doesn’t seem impressed…} BW: Well that’s not it… you see he’s facing you next week for the Mississippi title… but on the 27th of March… it is going to be the Grappler defending the North American Title against… MR. WRESTLING II {Wrestling II comes out to a huge pop from the crowd! The fans give him a big ovation and now we see the Grappler going nuts! The Super Destroyers are backing him off of Watts who is just laughing up a storm… we head to the ring for Wrestling II who is in action... Mr. Wrestling II vs Randy Rose w/ Dennis Condrey -Wrestling II has got a lot of momentum. Rose is a decent worker out there and we see Dennis Condrey even get involved which pulls Bullet Bob over and he gets involved. Rose can’t believe it but he turns around to find a big high knee lift! Rose is down for the 3-count! Bob and Wrestling II work the fans… they’ve got a couple of big weeks coming up! *COMMERCIAL* The Brisco Brothers defeated Dennis Stamp & Rick McGraw when Jack hits Stamp with the double arm suplex and the 3-count! {The Briscos walk over to Boyd Piece. We saw Ernie Ladd defend that Louisiana title earlier tonight… but now he’s got to defend the tag titles by himself. His partner… Leroy Brown lost a loser leaves town match to the JYD. Then we heard that the JYD got a tag title shot and he brought in Tommy Rich to be his partner. Fans it is time to got to the ring! MSW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP The Junkyard Dog & Tommy Rich vs Ernie Ladd © -A big time main event… even with some interesting stakes. Ladd comes out and he looks like he hasn’t recovered from his earlier match with Mike George. JYD and Tommy Rich are licking their lips getting ready for this one and the bell rings. They both hammer away on Ernie and then hit a double back body drop! Ernie is trying to get himself together but Tommy and JYD both take turns wearing him down and out. Ernie is on his last legs… the JYD picks him up… here comes the THUMP! 1…..2…. NO NO NO! AFA AND SIKA! THE WILD SAMOANS! OMG! THE SAMOANS ARE BACK IN MID SOUTH AND THEY ATTACK THE JYD AND TOMMY RICH! Boyd Pierce is going nuts here as these guys are hammering down on Rich and JYD! Ladd finally gets to his feet and picks up the title belt as the Samoans hold up Tommy Rich and Ladd NAILS him with the belt and Rich is busted WIDE OPEN! The Samoans take turns powerslaming JYD before they come off the middle ropes with diving headbutts and even the JYD sells it. Ladd is all smiles with the Louisiana and tag team titles and the Samoans… we’ll see what happens with this next week!
